    i love his swing. it is so unconventional and the grip is so strong.

    People think he has crazy feet. He probably in fact has the best footwork on TOUR. You want to hit the ball longer, straighter, more consistently? Turn more, you accomplish that by footwork. Jack said it might be the most important part of his swing. Great content! Thanks!

      30 Second Golf Lessons yes. Lifting the lead heel is the most natural thing the body will do. Nicklaus did it too.

    I've heard stories around my club about him, where he had hit a 365 yard carry over the water on our 18th hole, and on the short 450 yard par 5 12th he once was 20 yards short of the water in front of the green, which is around a 385 yard drive (wind was slightly behind). Though the validity of the stories are to be questioned to some degree, we all know he can knock the snot out of it, and his swing reminds me of Nicklaus without the idiosyncrasies. Solid action, well leveraged.

    A big key to remember with Bubba's swing is how ridiculously flexible he is. The impact position he has is not achievable for a lot of us, or rather it's achievable but not for good striking and ball flight. The fact that he's able to keep his upper body (chest, shoulders, arms, and hands) in sync at impact given his lower body position is tremendous.
    For me, if I'm at impact with my hips facing mostly toward the target, the fact that I don't have Bubba's gumby-esque flexibility means that my upper body has rotated a fair bit toward the target as well, while my arms and hands lag too far behind, and I hit weak blocks, block slices, and the occasional rope/snap-hook.
    Bubba's ability to keep that upper body sync'd to his rotation given his lower body move is pretty amazing.

      SLM McGee
      totally disagree with this 100%..
      bubba's swing is much more natural and a swing to copy for the amateurs....rather than the very flexible athletic swings of most pros.
      bubba can play for many years without back problems...cause his swing is natural

      theconman I do agree to some extent, I’d say Rory is the flexible one because he rotates his shoulders 110 degrees with his hips turning 40 degrees while keeping his left heel down (good luck with that). Bubba gets almost 90 degrees of hit turn due to his footwork. And we all know how long he is! Thanks!

    Christo, nice analysis, please note Bubba's ball position that is very close to his left (rear) leg and how that effects all his body movements. His body angles would be different if the ball was played off his lead leg.

    • @MiracleSwingExperience
      @MiracleSwingExperience  8 лет назад

      That's a really great point, especially considering that I've read he is one of the few male pros that hit slightly up on the ball.

    • @Stantheman848
      @Stantheman848 6 лет назад +1

      the camera angle is deceptive....the ball is actually just inside the right foot.

    I couldn't agree more. This is the a version of the gravity golf/jack Nicklaus/Jim furyk, Fred couples golf swing. Gets the arms of the body and is more of a throwing motion. A great way to play golf.

    great analysis Christo! Man I love me some Bubba...Bubba just does Bubba. I even bought some Bubba Olympic high tops...haha. I used to wear nothing but high tops growing up so I wanted to get back that carefree feeling and definitely worth the purchase! From your videos and studying Bubba over the years, I've been able to confidently narrow my stance away from a "standard" swing and get back to an instinctive swing. Once I was fitted for new irons after 14 years with the old set, I tried switching from interlock to overlap grip and had my first range session today where I was hitting consistent shots with a Hogan roll and getting into Shangri-La! Its been teasing me over the years which has been the most frustrating part not being able to consistently repeat it but have kept at it with the help of watching how you've kept powering through and following your instincts. Love your journey and thank you for everything Christo and continue to share your journey and natural insights! Everyone has their own unique swing and you are helping us find ours!

    Did not realized he hit a shot driver? And as a one comments below said many pro player use a 44 - 44.5 inch driver.I recently cut one of my old driver with an 8 1/2 degree face back to 44 inches,I'm now what I would call a target golfer,satisfied to be on the fairway and this club works fine,it will not go as far and as high as my longer driver,therefor I now pick a target that enables me to get, without overpowering the stoke and having a 8 1/2 degree it stays low and straighter

    • @MiracleSwingExperience
      @MiracleSwingExperience  4 года назад +1

      It's hard for me to maintain my posture with a long driver. 44.5 is about max for me. Nicklaus' driver was only 42.75 inches long!!!

    One of the reasons Bubba looks like he pulls the club so high is that his stance is open.
    I have seen him swing in real life, and it looks more orthodox in real life.

    good choice of player. Bubba is such a talent. I find it interesting to have Hogan characteristics but yet he looks nothing like Hogan. That excites me because I've incorporated Hogan moves but I certainly don't have a Hogan look in my swing either.

    Are there any popular teachers that still teach the "Classic Swing" besides maybe Shawn Clement? Whenever I go looking for swing advice/flaw correction (too long swing on short clubs and bent left arm) and trying to understand how to properly do the wind up etc of this old school swing you seem to get the advice meant for the "Modern Swing", which in many ways is completely opposite of what he is trying to do here obviously.

    The modern golf swing instruction is the most disappointing issue in the game. It has ruined many a good player for many a year. I am one of the many victims. Many people have just given up because they’ve tried to get better and resorted to instructors trying to create their niche by building the better mousetrap. About ten years ago my friend and I accompanied another friend to MB In order for him to go to golf school. He took his brand new set of Cobras which he loved. They talked him into getting “frequency matched shafts” because he “needed” them. They guy couldn’t break ninety five and he needed new shafts? Within six months each shaft either broke or the heads flew off. What a gimmick driven business.

    He begins his swing with both body and arms simultaneously. Don't mislead people. Look at 5:28 on.

      Yep all in sync. Not separated and just because he has flexibility doesn't make it a classic swing.

    Most tour players have 44 or 44.5 inch drivers.... but the average golfer is stupid so the big brands all sell 45.5 ...

    I was able to attain a 73-point shot after reading, practicing, and doing the methods evident in golf swing strategies , Jοmtοnο Naha (Go ogle it). I also managed to strike 13-18 greens and that was the best one I had ever since I started golfing. On the other five holes, I got close to hitting 5-10 yards with the green. My handicap is a nine so I do not sho ot 73s on a regular basis. It has been can be a very long time ever since I made an exceptional round..

    No mention of his stance where ball is closer to his back foot and with open stance. When was the last time you saw a stance? The front foot comes off after impact! wtf? Ugliest swing that just plain works. Not to be emulated as it might cause injuries - to you and to players in the other fairway.
