Hey, great content, btw! One question for you. I ordered the jigpara short sardine, but afterward, I noticed there's the surf model. The surf model has that tiny spoon in the back. It looks like your using the short, or did you just remove the spoon. Also a huge price jump. 13$ for the short 40g, 26$ for the surf.
    Ty in advance

Hey thanks! No, actually my jigpara came without the little metal flasher.
While I do believe any additional flash would attract more fish, it’s debatable how much that would be especially considering that considerable cost increase.
If there’s anyone out there that’s tried it out, I’d also be curious to hear what your experience has been!

In this video I’m using a Penn Squadron 3 and an Okuma Celilo. Pretty inexpensive stuff.

Also, strong opinion: Fish do NOT care about the lure. Get it in front of them and they’ll eat it!

What brand and color is the lure?

The lure is a 40 gram Jigpara. It’s the one with the sardine pattern.

    Great idea…
I saw a dude limit on perch in 30 minutes using a 1 ounce torpedo sinker with a treble hook attached as a lure 😂😂😂💯 percent real story as he out fished me using a lucky craft…
I only use metals now caught some spotties today on an ultra light trout spoon

That’s an awesome story! I’ve heard similar stuff with halibut. Some guy on RUclips has some footage of them going after torpedo weights. Funny stuff!

Hello Sir, I had not yet watched this video on the jig.
I wonder if it would be possible to fish on the beach with sabiki rig and if it could catch fish?
As carolina is easy to put into action I think.

I believe there is someone on RUclips that has done that before with success. You might want to look up “sabiki rig surf fishing” to find out more. I have not tried that however so I can’t speak to its effectiveness.

Hello sir, thank you for coming back.
Why not try one of your next videos to see its effectiveness or not.🙋‍♂️👍💚

By the way, what kind of oil are you frying in?

    • @thefishingfoodie
      @thefishingfoodie  8 месяцев назад +2

Canola oil. It has a little bit of reddish tint in the video because I fried something in it earlier that had some paprika on it.
