  • About Left Foot Right Foot (LFRF):
    The intention of Left Foot Right Foot is to provide insight on all forms of dance with a particular focus on Argentine Tango as both of us are Tango Dancers who have more than 10+ years of experience in dancing.
    We are heavily inspired by other fellow creators in different fields such as Aba N Preach who primarily discuss relationships and culture. As well as the FUNG BROS. who primarily focus on topics dealing with Asian Americans.
    Dance has been a vital part of our lives and we wanted to share our experiences and encourage others to try all forms of dance as we firmly believe that through such shared experiences we can create a better world that is more understanding and connected.
    We also aim to cover the beautiful music of Argentine Tango which is not as known in American popular culture. Perhaps you have heard some versions of Tango Music in your local Starbucks or hotel lobby (elevator). You were probably listening to some electronic tango music that were popular in the early 2000s. Artists like Gotan Project or Bajofondo are regulars in this genre. Or perhaps you are a classical music fan which influenced some of the great Argentine Tango composers like Anibal Troilo, Osvaldo Pugliese, Juan Darienzo, Carlos DiSarlo, Miguel Calo, Osvaldo Fresedo, Francisco Canaro, Enrique Rodriguez, and Julio DeCaro to name a few.
    Most people have heard renditions of Astor Piazzolla. We have such a passion for Argentine Tango Music especially the music composed during the 1920's-1960's. And while you may listen to popular artists today like Beyonce, Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar, Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, Doja Cat, Nicki Minaj, Drake, we also want you to discover music that does not have a similar sound to popular music today.

    Simply because I am physically attracted to my dance partner does not mean this would be a great relationship. This person outside the Milonga may be a complete disaster. The great thing about tango is we get to sample the merchandise and put it back. This may be your best option. I’ve learned to be happy on my own and enjoy tango for its pure beauty.

      I'm in the mindset that the way we dance says something about our character. Sure dance buddies don't always make good life partners, but I think terrible dance chemistry is a red flag for dating.

    You guys were laughing about “the connection”. I did hear that sometimes. Is that just a pickup line? Is there any such thing or just pure technique, where advanced dancers have better embrace and rhythm, which make follower feel more connected?

    Lol dont worry about the 50+ guys on the dancefloor. Majority of young women are attracted to men their own age. I have danced with many good and advanced older dancers and while I was enjoying the tanda....I never felt attracted to them because of the age. I would choose someone my age even when they are slightly less skilled than me ;)

    • @bertle615
      @bertle615 3 месяца назад

      I'm not worried anymore, if it wasn't meant to be, it wasn't meant to be. But if I had to fear somebody, I generally feared people who were more established. It's not necessarily age, but generally older people tend to be more established.

    Don't confuse/conflate tango with real life! You can't take the illusions of a milonga to actual life. And, if you want a real relationship with your preferred gender, then it's in real life. Of course, tango may be a part of that relationship.

    • @bertle615
      @bertle615 3 месяца назад

      How is romance different in tango and in real life? I mean you catch feelings and pursue right? And then you make compromises to make a relationship work. Or am I missing something.

    • @CW-om2qq
      @CW-om2qq 3 месяца назад +2

      @@bertle615 In tango it's unwise to be misled by the 'romantic feeling' of the role. I guess it's also about the type of 'romantic' partner you're seeking - from short term (one night? Until I find someone better?) to a partner for life. And 'partner for life' is more than tango; it's the whole sickness and in-health, poor to rich, kids, growing old together, etc, etc. That's not to say you shouldn't meet and become involved at the milonga/classes, but you each want to be the other's obsession and trusted partner; not tango.

    • @bertle615
      @bertle615 3 месяца назад +1

      @@CW-om2qq I can see your point, but I think if you feel something just be direct and be prepared for a rejection. It doesn't hurt to ask and walk away if it's a no.

    • @CW-om2qq
      @CW-om2qq 3 месяца назад +2

      @@bertle615 It's never wrong to ask (we are talking about beyond tango?). It's 2024 so no one should be surprised, or 'lose face', by a 'no' (hopefully respectfully). But you have to be aware of your own emotions and motivations. Yes, those can be shallow or profound. Just don't be fooled by the roles each of you is playing. 'Forever' is more than a tanda, but maybe a tanda is all that's mutually desired.
