you have to have two duplicate tracks of whatever you want to automate. The first one you gotta record over and slowly raise the cutoff/highcut knob. Then after you do it all of the notes should be deleted so you have to paste the notes from the duplicate track into the first one. Let me know if I didn’t explain it well lol
It’s about time someone made a to-the-point explanation of making a dub. Best tutorial I’ve seen and the only one that has a song that makes sense musically lmao
This is really cool! I’ve been working with GarageBand for a bit now, but watching this tells me there is a lot more I can learn. I am definitely subscribing!
Dude this is E P I C I usually saw tons of people tryna figure out why Apple Products are overpriced with some expensive stuff and they usually buy them to show off as some luxury while I just simply tryna figure out all the functions and features in garageband and pay respect to the production team 😂😂 I mean, like this is why they’re overpriced, u are not just buying the phone, u are buying all of these high-potiental stuff
@@chefelon Yup but no one is gonna figure out. Only us. Poor those who say Idk to these stuff 😂😂 Btw true tho cuz apple music is actually better than spotify

See sounds pretty jazzy. I’d remove the 7ths and 9ths definitely the 9ths maybe a 7th here and there. Melodic dubstep just uses mostly basic chords but spread out using functional harmony. Still a badass tune killer job.
Np. The first three I made (piano chop, vocal chop, growl bass chop). The last one is just a saxophone from one of the loops. Sometimes you gotta just make random sounds and try putting them together!

Yeah you can’t just do a bunch of 7ths and 9ths. The bases of every chord is the root and 5th called a power chord unless you’re using diminished chords.

@@chefelon im pretty sure you can do that by turning on merge recordings in track settings and then just recording over the track

it’s the to-the-point for me
I’ve never taken advantage of these type of instruments before. Now that I know how to use those instruments I go “woah” thanks a ton!
This is actually fire. I’m hoping to one day be fully capable of making musing like this on my own.
Wow this is amazing. I use garageband as my daw also, but this was on another level. You just got a new sub!
Thanks‼️
best GarageBand tutorial I’ve ever seen
Bro wasn’t kidding he is a chef (am subbing btw)
Pro tip here, you can sidechain your chords in the drop by using the automation
Faxxx I usually sidechain when I make future bass, I’m not too familiar with melodic dubstep so I just kept it simple
@@chefelon side chain is in almost every genre, just make sure you side chain enough for your drums to sound clear
@@chefelon you might already know this by now actually but I’m just saying
Question, how do you sidechain on Garageband?
We need a full version
That saxophone in the breakdown was a very good blend in for the lead in the drop.
Proof you don’t need an expensive DAW
requires $1000 less but + 20 years of experience
@@mikebuff1306 true
but, and to buy an iPhone?😅
technically any daw can be free if you know where to look
Hell, Justice literally made Cross in GarageBand and that shit is literal fire
If they can do it anyone with enough skill can
4:27 Slap bass is a thing in garage band if you get the backlight bounce pack.
I had no idea that GarageBand was capable of this!!!! You totally pushed it to its limit! +1 subscriber!
Holy shit😮 on garageband for real🙀 deym hes god at what hes doing
いい曲。メロディもきれい。迫力もある。何より作り方の説明がすごい。もよすごい仕事が出来る人だ
And now I honestly feel enlightened. Didn't imagine this was possible on garage band
This actually reminds me of Camellias music.
sounds great !!!! i never thought something like this was possible in garageband

Bro you deserve more recognition
Great job on the song, it sounds professionally made, well done!
Holy shit I am impressed. I make all my metal music with garage band, but wow this is on a whole new level
I haven’t heard a lot of dubsteps tracks with a 4 minor in it that works that’s really cool nice!
I use garageband to make music and learned a lot from this video! Lot more questions now though, but that's what keeps things interesting :)

as a GarageBand user i found this awesome
This is fire! This was also super helpful and it was easy to understand. Also, what kind of fill is that at around 53?
If you mean the 53rd measure, it’s just the “massive wobble bass” and I made a melody with it while raising the cutoff
Thanks! I thought it sounded cool.
bro, this was one of the most beautiful songs i've heard.
yo, look up the song Ether Strike by Akira Complex. This sounds so similar to their style
but you gotta wait till the drop like halfway through the song
i still come back to this vid
the way you started the video with no BS made me ImmediatelY subscribe!! Holy shit bro, you know how to grab attention
