I didn't even know about this! I was there at the Albert Hall as a 13 year-old and it was then that I decided to become a guitar player. I think Eric arguably peaked as a musician during this time, but I never expected to see a re-release of 24 Nights. For decades, I've tried to tell people of its brilliance, but nobody cares...
But the original 24 Nights album was recorded in both years, 1990 and 1991. They title 24 Night for the record of nights at the Royal Albert Hall. All was the same tour.
Great video, great looking set. I have the double vinyl that came out in 1991. I bought It for my dad for his birthday - and then ended up inheriting back, so it was a good investment as it turned out! I wish I’d bought him more records now come to think of it bless him. Take care cheers
Hi Jamie Great that you recieved this AMAZING BOX SET by Mr. Clapton with the concerts of that great period of his career. I've never bought the original 24 Nights because the great amount of Clapton's live records. I found this video very helpful for the decison of buy this stuff. I am very interested in the Orchestral show with a Concerto between Clapton classics. As some critic said: "There is no failute with Clapton live shows". Greetings from Monterrey, Mexico.
It’s not the exact same content on the 2 CD/DVD sets. You are missing out on the high resolution / Dolby Atmos audio files that are contained on the Blu Rays additionally to the video files that are identical to the DVDs.
@@ThilosVids Depending on your surround sound needs, the Blu-Rays might be better for the audio. It sounded great, even on the stereo soundtrack. And I thought the DVD's picture quality was much better than the "Nothing But The Blues" Blu-Ray. But, they obviously did a lot more restoration work on these "24 Nights" sets. The DVD's have stereo and 5.1 surround audio, but no Dolby Atmos.
Looks like another nice Clapton box! Will get it when the price drops down to around $100.00. And, unlike the new Moody Blues box, it gets a US release!
The box reminds me of the Crossroads original CD box set. I got mine last week and watched a lot of it last night. I like it. Old love is different from the original DVD version. One of the cds came out of the sleeve in mine. Seems okay.
I did notice that Old Love (on both the album and the blu-ray) is different from the original 24 Nights CD/VHS/DVD release. It makes me glad that I have the original versions as well since they seem to now be out of print entirely.

Great pick, Jamie! I really enjoyed this unboxing. Surely I will order it too! Greetings from Germany.
Thank you. Thanks for watching.
Epic Clapton.
Will begin exploring my box set today. Thanks for sharing and for the tip on Little Feat!
Very cool! I just got my LP Boxset in the mail today! Can’t wait to dig into it!
24 nights was just for 1991, he also did 18 nights in 1990. The "24 Nights" is just referring to his 1991 concerts. He really did 42 "Nights" total.
Thanks James. They should have called this 42 nights! Lol

Great unboxing Jamie ! Definitely getting this one ! 😉
Thank you Carlos. I think you will enjoy it.

I'm stoked for this one! I settled on the three individual "Nights" 2 CD/ DVD sets. I get the same content, but for less. I should have mine tomorrow.
Interesting that they are releasing this in a number of different configurations. Nice to have options.

@@jameswilson7084 Do you have any info on the resolution of the audio files on the DVDs? Are they high resolution 24-bit or just 16-bit (CD-quality)?
@@ThilosVids It just says Linear PCM audio, it doesn't show whether it's 24 or 16 bit.
Wow, you've got your hands on something real precious here. Thanks a ton for sharing this with us! Grateful.
The best period for EC. He was at his prime and with the studio release Journeyman... and with this live compliment he was firing on all cylinders.
I would totally agree, Tino. Thanks for watching.
Always showing amazing content my friend. Nice looking box set. It’s on my list now lol
Thanks Robert

Fingers crossed. And good to hear about the domestic release.
96 CDs great clickbait 😉. You got me Jamie. Great set. I have the double CD from way back. Greg FIFO woohoo
Opps. Fixed. My apologies. Thanks for spotting that.
@@jamiecottle5850 That would have been cool, to get Clapton's full '90 - '91 Royal Albert Hall run on CD! 😁😃😊
This is a nice set.
Killer set. Great era for EC. Would love to get the vinyl version. Really want to check out that blu ray too.

Must check this out. Never heard of this.
This was the same Eric Clapton band that toured with George Harrison in 1992 in Japan.
Nice! Thanks for that
December 91
Different second guitarist RAH 90 91 was Phil Palmer and Japan and 92 RAH Andy Fairweather low
@@michaelparish9645 you are correct. Andy was definitely on the George tour and the historic Unplugged show and album
Omitted the 4 horn players.from 1990.
Do you have the two little feat deluxe edition remaster ?and the new zappa due out tommorrow?
No I don't. The Zappa is on order but I have my eye on the Little Feat albums.
On vinyl no Hoodoo Man ,why??????
