Lori, I am waiting for my 2 packages of (round headed) doll clothespins. I never knew they came in different sizes. I also just received my new order of Chunky Threads, so, as a visual learner, I can see my, err umm... your colors, for my references. Loved the idea & how you showed them in large bowl. Thanks! I remember my Southern Alabama Grandmother teaching me how to crochet, in 1962, but I used very thin white "string"...probably thin crochet thread and a very tiny metal hook. I was attempting to create about a 4 inch square design, to stitch into a 3 x 11 placemat. I do also remember hearing plastic (bag) rustle, behind her yarn crochet she placed over a store-bought pillow. I didn’t much like the plastic bag making noises, if I chose one to nap upon.... but, back then, I didn’t like the much more firm plastic feel, that my Grandparents chose to cover the car's bench seats with, either. There were funny looking/feeling patterns on the backs of my upper legs, as I wore shorts...as long as I wasn't going to their Southern Baptist Church!!! LOL...I really disliked wearing skirts.... or even dresses, even those she made up for me... sure do miss her... Now, to watch this video. That was fun. Great camera work... Row 1 of the edging: SC around the squircle pillow. Row 2 of the edging: (**sc, then in next stitch 5 dc. Remove hook from top of dc #5 holding onto it by non-dominent thumb & finger... count back to 4th dc, hook in from the backside of this popcorn stitch, then hook into last loop, then sc them off the hook. In the each of the next two sc stitches from the 1st row , sc, then sc) (**repeat until you are 2 sc's from the 1st sc stitch of the very 1st popcorn .... Closing tow...until the first sc, just slip st into the top of the 1st dc completed, tie off, adding the srarting tail into the loop of the closing thread; weave in the ends. I hope I wrote the popcorn stitches directions adequately.
Your pillow is stunning! I made a pillow using granny squares and made an attached lining with a zipper so I could wash the crocheted pillow case. It’s a beauty.
I absolutely love your crochet tutorials. I've started a granny square throw and hope it looks as beautiful as yours. Thank you for sharing your expertise. 👍💗👍

Cute
I love your grannie projects but I wonder how you clean your pillow cases?
I only use yarn i can machine wash and put it in a mesh bag meant for bras to keep it from snagging on anything
