I just bought my Swift 12.6 Kevlar fusion pack boat spring 2023. I had paddled a 39 pound kayak for almost 10 years. A female who just turned 71 and absolutely love this boat. It is like a whole new game. I can load and unload so easily without any concerns about straining. …..and pack more “stuff” for interior camping…..lol😊 The more I paddled it this season the more I realized the beauty of how it handles. I also paddle Kawartha Highlands , as well as many of Ontario’s amazing waterways. Looking forward to next years adventures. Thank you everyone at Swift. Your customer service is second to none! Great to see these 2 ladies out enjoying the outdoors whenever the mood strikes them. The drone shots really added some nice colour to the video presentation. I just put up a video of a recent 4 day paddle northeast of Parry Sound that might interest these ladies - it`s not super big water in case of wind, it`s not too far from civilization, and is ideally suited to solo canoe adventure, with lots of camping options.
This is a great video... Never even thought of the freedom it gives for people of smaller sizes. Might have to give this one some thought when my partner doesn't want to solo lug the keewaydin 16 around!
Hi Bill!!! still have my 12.6, it is an older model compared with this one but wont part from it for nothing; remember that I drove from Las Vegas to Madison to get it and I would again around the world to get another one too if I had the cash😊, The one thing I regret about this boat is not to have bought the carbon fiber yoke when it was already expensive around $400.00 but now last time I check it is $700.00!! totally out of reach but luckily here in the States we do not do lot of portaging so it is manageable to carry it without the yoke. I have not checked prices lately but bet they are not close to what I paid when I got it few years back and it is the perfect outdoor companion and a must have if one is to really enjoy canoeing; so for those reading forget those floating tanks and get a Swift, thank me later!
Wow! Is that in Canada that they are canoeing @13:49 ? For some reason, I find that videos of Canada make it look so much more "comfortable" than here. Hard to explain it, but there is something very peaceful about its look and so so beautiful. Is it really as good as that?? Might have to check it out someday.
Really nice! -- QUESTION -- For a guy who is 6' tall and 190 lbs, who loves the look of these 12.6 Pack boats, and wants to single portage across lakes like these in Ontario, what model and size would you suggest. Kinda wish I could use exactly their size and model. But maybe it is too small. What could I get away with? Maybe I will get a dog one day too. Not too sure, but overnight and portaging is key.

We have many other larger pack boats for someone your size. Can you come visit our Algonquin Test Paddling Centre to try them out?
Where do you purchase these ?
