- We made this sweet boat for Ashley in western New York. He wanted something ultra custom to accommodate his style and size, so he submitted an AutoCAD design for the interior layout. We were able to incorporate his plans into the boat, and the end result is a super cool canoe that can handle pretty much anything. Bill was even able to take it for a test paddle to see how the new layout would perform. Check it out!

Wow beautiful boat! I may need to consider a 16 prospector
This is super cool! My next boat will definitely be a Swift!
The timing of this review is perfect. I just ordered a prospector 13 from the same shop 2 days ago. The folks at Bay Creek Paddling in Rochester NY are great to deal with and were very helpful in choosing and ordering the canoe. I did get the sassafras interior and cherry seat . My old school roots need to see wood grain, and I'll of course have to have a badger paddle. Which they also stock ! Bill no need to test paddle my 13 , might be a little snug on you, cheers!
Great design with the combo rear seat / solo seat design. Nice work! This design has legs!
Wow; beautiful canoe, I hope you and your daughter have some great trips with it. Swift is so willing to work with their customers be they big, small, young, old, handicapped or plus sized. I watched one of their old videos where they built a very customized one of a kind canoe for a gentleman with limited mobility getting in and out of his canoe, now that’s impressive. Kudos Swift 👏
Thanks so much to the Swift team! We are really going to enjoy this canoe!
I'm glad you ordered this boat. I am a fella "of a certain size" and I like how this laid out and will be balanced when I put my things up front.
Beautiful!
Sweet Boat! Congratulations. Big Solos are where it's at. They draw less water making them more maneuverable than a shorter canoe. They hold more gear, dogs, people, and dog-people.
That's pretty awesome!
It this the toughest lay up you put out and what is the weight?
This is the toughest/best for a heavy person, which they recommended. I haven’t weighed it, but I’m easily able to lift it up by myself. Maybe 42-43#’s? The epoxy finish takes a little weight off. Much easier to lift and lighter than my old fiberglass prospector 16!
