Savage Flies is a project with the mission of encouraging and teaching fly tying to as many people as possible. The channel is named after one of my western Maryland homewaters, the Savage River. Thanks for stopping by.
Nice streamer! I’m happy to say that was one of the books I got as a present.:-)
Squirrel tail, Peacock, and the red floss make a nice looking fly. Good tip on backing off the thread to clean up the squirrel tail. Thanks.
Another great tie! Thank you for your dedication to the craft and to your viewers. I hope you have a safe, happy, and prosperous new year!
Good morning Matt. Great looking fly. Thanks for sharing.
Very cool looking fly. Thx Matt. Don’t worry bout comments. We are All busy and can only do our best. God bless.
Great looking little streamer using more traditional materials.
Nice job on this fly Matt, I really like watching how you correct the flaws 👍.
Thanks Matt for everything
Another nice one Matt, that’ll definitely fish. Have a blessed day my friend.
Great looking fly Matt. Thanks for sharing.
Cool looking fly, Matt
Glad y’all had a safe Christmas and as we move into the year.
Very nice streamer. I will try tying the fly today. Hope you had a great Christmas. Thanks for all of your content.
Merry Christmas Matt thank you
That's an attractive fly. I think peacock herl is an excellent fish attractor. I use it in a couple of very effective crappie and sunfish patterns. The downside is that it's not very durable. But it works, so i just carry extra flies.
Wow. If I were a fish, I would have trouble saying no to that. My wife is starting her journey in fly tying - I hope to get some heavy creels as a result. Thank you for the excellent tutorial and fine content.
Good morning from the desert. ☕️ at sunrise. Nice streamer. Going to check my materials I have here. Not sure I’ve got squirrel but have all the rest to tie this one. I’m planning to tie a few of these. Some with the red floss and some with orange. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas with your family and that Santa was good to you. I appreciate the effort you make to respond to comments. Take care Matt.
Really like this one matt.thanks buddy
