Another simple hair wing streamer, this one a simple variation of the Spruce, a traditional feather wing streamer.

Bead: Optional
Thread: Black
Tail: Peacock herl (not sword)
Body: Red floss and peacock herl
Wing: Fox squirrel tail hair
Hackle: Dark hen

That's an attractive fly. I think peacock herl is an excellent fish attractor. I use it in a couple of very effective crappie and sunfish patterns. The downside is that it's not very durable. But it works, so i just carry extra flies.
