@@vick7868 Yeah. I know why people might dislike playing against or watching certain playstyles, especially if they're not used to it or if their character could get countered by it. Honestly I was the same way back in Brawl and Smash 4, but since I don't have Ultimate (or a Switch for that matter), I've stuck to mostly just watching different characters and matchups. I really appreciate the variety of characters and playstyles in this game
@@vick7868 So many people talking about Dom spamming. Dom doesn't spam. Also there's literally a Mario on screen. Dom lost most of his stocks to about 5 up-airs into a f-air. Nobody complains about Mario shooting 6 fireballs in a row or laddering with the same move over and over. "sToP sPamMiNg!" Smh
@@jeffreysherman8224 Dom does use the b button but that's that Belmonts are supposed to do to get their traps started. People tend to be super biased against projectiles so when someone chains a melee attack into itself people overlook that it's the same thing over and over.
@@vick7868 Exactly. And we Belmonts, including Dom, use the whip as much as projectiles. Honestly, the whip is used more than the projectiles. But nobody seems to complain about forward tilts and back airs. There used constantly. You're right. There is a clear bias against projectiles.

@@adastra2238 tbh you can't do shit with a belmont if the only thing you do is spam projectile. The belmonts despite being zoners themselves are not prime projectile based zoners. Belmonts can't really spam their projectiles, for example, cross can't be spammed because it needs to disappear or get back to richter(it is also fairly slow so even if it bounce off a shield and return back to you to throw it again, the action is way slower than links boomerang) Holy water is the SHITTIEST fire in the game, unlike ness who can catch you up to 3 pk fire or Robin with 3 arc fire, holy water needs to disappear in order to throw it again. What is worse is that holy water has the highest SDI value between the fire so SDI out of it is easier than ness pk fire. Finally, Axe is the only projectile you kinda spam but it is so slow that it doesn't matter. From 10 axes you hit like 2 or 3 at best.

Richter is just annoying since there's shit flying at you all the time, but you just gotta stay focused and keep pushing (and don't get angry lol). There's barely any kill potential aside from a smash or a random axe hitting you. Great job Kurama!

Why is everyone hating just respect the players and the characters they use. Of course players are gonna use their characters good moves, otherwise they wouldn't make a good player. This comment section makes me feel like the community just wants every character to be this boring, mediocre, mid-tier character with no combos because seriously every combo move gets hated on. If nobody had combos, what would this game even be? Stop whining about the fact that Mario has his upair or the Belmonts with their specials because without their tools they would be nothing.

Most characters have a move that's spammable, whether it be to convert into other less safe moves or to rack up percentage. I believe it's how you use those moves when you're playing the character, and how you play against it when you're up against them. This was a good match!

Most, if not every character has that one, or few moves that they are able to "spam" in order to convert or gain percentage. Whether it be a mix of weaving in and out with safe aerials like Joker, or creating an opening with your projectiles like Mega Man. It's all about playing your character correctly, and knowing your place in certain matchups. That, at least, is true in higher levels of play. Spamming or button-mashing is only really done when people don't know how to play their character, in general or in a specific matchup. Mario has to find an opening, Richter has to create one. That's the way I see it
@@olivierbaguette6062 I understand your point and agree but at the same time constantly cycling 3 projectiles as a gameplan seems really dishonest. In smash it feels like there should be zoning tools like fireball to assist in beating your opponent up. Just throwing out projectiles only all in hopes of keeping your opponent from fighting at all just seems less like a fight and more of an exploit.
