i appreciated the player character to do anything at all in a cutszene. usually i think "im a ninja, i could just teleport there and knife him", or "im a WHM, easy benediction and go". but since the player can be any race or job we usually just stand there or run at most. The same reason why the Monster Hunter MC doesnt use his weapon in cutszenes.

Try playing as a lalafell white mage, oh you are diseased injured dead......Not my problem. The Game is completely different, It's not I am powerless to help as a dragoon beyond the potion and phoenix down i have, it's literally I choose not to help.

yea i think i remember yoshi p saying in an interview that they remade this scene for every race for the size differences, like in 0:06 their firsts make contact and zenos is crouched lower down for lalafell than other races.
