    I had been struggling with this for a while and actually have a pair of soundpeats t2 arriving today (that I'm probably going to return). Bought jabra elite 75t's (which turned out to be counterfeit) and I've had a really good experience with soundcore lifedot 2's. Soundcore's wings seem to fit my ears well and your review helped cement my decision to get the soundcores.

    You guys provide top honest reviews. Kudos to you.
    I picked up both.
    For me comfort sits on top of the priority list, then sound, ANC, followed by the rest of the stuff. I expected the Edifier to be very comfortable and they are. 100% happy with that. Unexpectedly, I have found the Liberty 3 Pros to be almost as comfortable. My first choice was the Edifier but I got the Liberty 3 Pros just because they have multi-point connectivity. I wish Edifier would add multi-point connectivity. With multi-poubt, the Neobuds Pro would really be impossible to beat (in light of how much they cost).
    Both have fantastic sound.

    Although I liked the L3P's features and sound, the deal-breakers for me were that I couldn't get a good fit with any tip/wing combo (which is odd, cuz the L2P fit much better for me), and the inconsistent charging contact between the buds and the case, making me have to reposition them. For the money they're charging, no thanks. As for the Neo Pro's I haven't tried them, but between the battery, app, and control issues, I'm not really drawn to them.
    My faves so far (all bought while on sale):
    - Overall: Sennheiser CX Plus (~ $130)
    - Overall runner-up: Soundcore Liberty Air 2 Pro (~ $90)
    - Most premium sound: KZ AZ09 Pro + your choice of IEMs, e.g., KZ ZEX Pro (total: ~ $80)
    - Semi-in-ear (open): Soundpeats Air3 (Airpods 3 killers for ~ $45),
    - Best bang for the buck: Fiil T1XS (unbeatable feature set, incl app support, for ~ $35)

    What I did with my L3P’s was the HearID test, then edited that equalizer. Toned down the highs from +6 (I think it was) to +1 on both left and right channels.
    That gave me a good result! Nice bass, mids and not earshrieking but clear highs 👍🏻

    I ordered it and tried it out. For a similar price to the Libery 4 NC I wanted to see if they could beat them in terms of sound. That didn't come true. The Liberty 4 NC's sound better. In addition, the equalizer and the entire app at Soundcore are more logical and easier to use. It's not that the Edifiers are bad, but they hiss in the highs and the bass isn't as dynamic and powerful as with 4NC's.

    Glad to hear you guys mention about the neobuds pro connectivity issue where it'll only connect one bud, then you'll have to put them both back in the case. I thought I was the only one lol. Also wondering, did you guys happen to have any touch consistency issues on the neobuds pro? The touch features work on mine about 80% of the time. The other 20% of the time I have to retap them again. Great video as always guy 🔥👍

    Even with the L3P'S buds properly in the charging case, you have to watch to make sure it turns off, which doesn't always happen. Also the tethering lag on the soundcore leaves much to be desired. For me the Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro is the way to go.

Best thing you can do with the sondcores is get some better sealing tips (azla crystal tws, dekoni, comply..) and run the hearID test again, major improvement in the low frequencies and just eq the highs to a comfortable level.

      I have lg fp9 and edifier neobuds pro but i don't have the soundcore liberty 3 pro. Between lg fp9 and neobuds pro for me i prefer the fp9 for features and design and its balance sound you can hear more instruments than the neobuds pro coz the neobudrg p dro is Vshape sound out of the box meaning to say the neobuds is higher tuning of the bass and trebel but instruments and the mids is at the back you cannot enjoy hiphop rnb electronics pop but you can enjoy rock and metal. So its in your taste of music and the lg fp9 has clearer bass compared to the muddy bass of neobuds pro.

    I just listened to your video again between the Liberty 3 Pro and the Neobuds Pro. This after wearing my ol' school Bomaker SiFi II True Wireless Earbuds. And I have to say, I'm afraid. These don't have noise cancelling but they do have enough occlusion that blocks sound. But for pure sound clarity and deep bass, even with all the advancements, to this day, these compete well with the Liberty 3 Pro's. Not so much IMHO with the Neobuds Pro. The question is, do you have old school buds that can compete with some of these newer technologies?

    @craigkeys4 3 года назад +3

    You guys keep mentioning the bright treble on the soundcore but from my 1st 15 mins with them, that was adjusted in the eq settings and never thought of again. The soundcore allows you to do ear id which customizes the eq for you but it doesn't stop there.... they also allow you to customize the "customization" separately for each ear individually. Once you turn that 10k way down, turn up all the mids, turn that 200hz down a bit and then adjust the subs to your liking, it would be hard to find a better sounding pair of earbuds. I also own Sennheiser momentum 2s and b&o ep plays and still keep reaching for the soundcore...

    • @DHRME
      @DHRME  3 года назад +2

      Thanks Craig. We think turning the treble down severely compromises the resolution. It ends up sounding very thin and IMO is not how these buds were intended to be heard.

    • @craigkeys4
      @craigkeys4 3 года назад +4

      @@DHRME I hear you but thinness would come from not having enough mids... reducing the 12khz harshness wouldn't make it sound thin just not extra bright. Remember hear ID for most people will boost the high frequencies so pulling them back down to a reasonable point is fine. But push the mids till vocals and other instruments don't sound thin anymore but watch out for the 200hz... too much will introduce muddiness. Sorry for the long comments, I'm a mix engineer and music producer and I think the drivers on this are pretty great.

    Regarding the L3P and replacing the buds in the case, I had the same opinion when I first started using them a few weeks ago. However, using a bit of hyper-awareness and deliberateness, I've successfully developed a bit of muscle memory now that is simply based on removing them from my ear and flipping them over as I insert them in the case. It works perfectly every time and I no longer have to be so conscious about it since getting into the habit. I also reverse the process for removal and placement in my ears. If someone as easy to disorient as myself can develop this ability, anyone can.

      @@DHRME Fair point. I suppose developing a product like this is like solving an expensive Rubik's cube. You get a bunch of features perfect (sides of the cube one color) but then you have other features that aren't (mismatched sides) as a result. And time is the enemy of such consumer devices, making it practically impossible to get all the features/sides perfect by the time you need the product to go to market in order to remain competitive.
      So, I suppose the less than ideal case insertion is a bit of a tradeoff. Anker might have been able to make them plop right in but perhaps that would have been at the expense of case size and pocketability? Or even worse, the comfort of the buds themselves. I don't know about you, but I'd rather fumble a little bit with the case in the beginning than have it be any less portable or comfortable. Nonetheless, hopefully the L4P's continue to improve upon the design and features and they get this Rubik's cube completely solved by then.
      And thanks for your reviews and your kind response! You guys are really two of the best out there in terms of your attention to detail and ability to entertain the viewer as you educate them. Also, I'm gonna be honest with you, as someone who is pretty far into the whole audiophile hifi game, Well tuned hardware >>>>>> Codec.
      Also, unless you're using a lossless file for your music the difference is so negligible it's more than likely just placebo. And if you really and truly want good SQ but retain BT just invest in the BTR5 paired with some good IEMs.
      Back to the LG Tones, they have a tasteful U shaped signature with a bump at the low end and high end (out of box) after tweaking a little you can get a desired sound. Staging is good especially for a TWS iem but for comparison my favourite iem is the Campfire Andromeda (2020) which is holographic in depth, separation and imaging (also 10x the price).
      Other notable features are the whole UV thing which seems gimmicky but is pretty nice to know I won't need to bust out any cleaning wipes after 5-6 uses.
      Atm they're cheaper than usual so I'd say try instore if you can or just go for it, worst case amazon has god tier returns.

      @@cine-ish I really appreciate the info *Kuma.* And yes, absolutely I'm going with lossless. In fact I've been rebuilding my entire audio library over the past year as a result. It certainly has helped me streamline it as well, given that not everything's going to be available in that format. Most of my CDs are packed away, so I'm basically trying to find them already available in Flac format elsewhere.
      That said, I appreciate you making that notation, in the event I wasn't aware. After all, we're not born knowing these things, are we? 😏
      I've also been playing around with *Wavelet* recently (primarly for my other earbuds), as well as the app version of *XtremeMusic.* The latter was a game-changer for me.

      @@CaesiusX Fun fact, if you have an old gen 1 PS3 (with a little bit of tinkering) you can make what is the best way of ripping audio off CDs and rip DSD files through it though I haven't tried it as of yet. I, myself went through a phase of just ripping Wu-tang albums I have on CD from my PC to straight up WAV files before converting them to FLAC just to have them there lol.
      And with information it's generally good to give it. As I've got a DAP running on a lower than current android I can't use Wavelet and haven't used your latter mentioned application but I'll give it a go with my phone.
      Also, what enlightened me to codec not being everything were my dad's old MDR1BT headphones, despite being very ancient and lacking alot of current features I found they far surpassed the sound found in the WH1000XM4's even after I tried to tune as close to harman as possible (consequently I have given them to my girlfriend as I don't really like closed back over ears due to longer hair now).
      A valuable resource if you're a pirate for music is Soulseek, I usually only use it for music I can't get at a reasonable price as I like to have my favourite albums on CD or Vinyl just to have them.

    Hey DHRME, I find it troublesome finding a good eq custom setting on the liberty 3 pros where I can get the most of the bass on these earbuds and lowering the sharpness of the highs. Do you guys have an EQ setting in the Soundcore app that may cater to more bassy response all the while having some clarity? I can't seem to find a good eq and the bass boost mode in the app still has that sharp treble that hurts the ears when the volume picks up on vocals. I'm a bit new to the whole eq thing and what the numbers mean but know that the left side is usually for bass and the right is the treble but I can't seem to get the bass out

    • @raulespinoza8668
      @raulespinoza8668 2 года назад

      In the app you can set a custom equalizer, just watch a quick short video on RUclips on how to use an equalizer (it's very simple and easy) and then you can increase bass and lower the treble.

    Hi DHRME, if it isn't too much, I seek advice: I've recently started trying different earbuds, in particular the Oppo Enco X, the Sony WF1000-XM3, the Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro and, ultimately, the Soundcore Liberty 3 Pro. Unfortunately the first (Oppo) isn't too mind-blowing sound-wise and the second (Sony) and the third (Samsung) aren't comfortable for my ear. I'm trying right now the Soundcore: I hear a very good definition but I don't like the punchy bass, at times bloated, the sibilance and the tone of the voice, a bit metallic or, at least, not warm (am I mad?). Sound-wise the one I prefer are the Samsung because, if I'm not mistaken, are the more balanced or less V-shaped of the three (at least according to crinacle) and that results in a more "vocal-foward" sound, which I most enjoy. All that being said, I would like, if possible, a recommendation from you for a pair of earbuds suited for my taste and needs (sound is most important and a "vocal-foward" sound signature), please.
    Thank you for your attention and I'm sorry for my English (I'm Italian). Good holidays
    P.S. Budget max 150-200 euros, thank you again

    So I ended up getting the Sound Core Liberty 3 Pro's. Actually, two pair. The first pair had to be returned because it would not disconnect from my phone when they were back in the charger AND the led lights stayed on constantly. The L3BP's to me sound really good. I always stream The Temptations "A Song For You" and play the title song and Firefly. The sound was outstanding. I want to test phone quality for myself to see if that works. If it does, I may keep them because of multipairing. If the quality of the sound doesn't work, they are going back. But I'll know before my return window closes. Thanks for the review, guys.

    Why does nobody talk about how bad the Liberty 3 Pro's sound out of the box? The treble is the worst I've ever heard. It's fatiguing and boosted way too high up. The Soundcore's need to be heavily eq'd. Hear ID is nowhere close to what my ears prefer for sound. I was quite disappointed with them for the first few days. And then figured out how to get them to sound much better. Once eq'd properly, I found they could use just a little more output for when I want to rock out. Are they loud enough? Just barely.
