- Ammeters measure current and voltmeters measure voltage. Ideal ammeters and voltmeters do not change any of the properties of the circuit they are measuring, while non-ideal ammeters and voltmeters do change the properties of the circuit. Ideally, we would want our measurement devices to NOT change the nature of what we're measuring. In this video I explain the properties that cause ammeters and voltmeters to be ideal and non-ideal.

3:06 Ideal Voltmeters
6:10 Non-Ideal Voltmeters
8:32 Where to Place Meters
Thank you! This the only video I found that helped me with non ideal Voltmeters and Ammeters!
Thank you very much! Great explanation
Thanks this is super useful I'm super sure I'm gonna pass this test
Thank you sir, It is a very heplful video🙏🏼
Thanks a lot!
thank you
Your videos are soso good! I hope you got payed by your school to make theese ahah, must have taken ages!
Thank you so much! I get a ton of support from my school and teaching community in general :)
at 2:03 you say the ammeter is in series. But isn't it parallel?
Nope, it's in series with the others because if current flows through the resistors, it HAS to throw through the ammeter as well. This video explains series v parallel in more detail ruclips.net/video/dlSPpmAwT9U/видео.html
