If only we could go back in time with this kind of music? I know our parents loved this kind of music. Kid you not this still brings pleasant thoughts and happiness to our every day living. Some young ones would say this is corny? Not so this is the music the blending of harmony and the vocals are exceptional Thanks for posting a masterpiece in music very happy to hear and see sensible music. No yelling or screaming just great singing
I love it too, i think it's called close harmony, but i may be wrong. One of my favorite groups is the Boswell sisters because of the way their voices blend together to make such a nice and beautiful sound. I discovered them when I was 12. There's some other groups too that have that sound too
I'm one of the oldest Gen Zs and I love this music and movies so much! I watched this movie before and it's not my favorite, but so many films during this time were gems!
@@francochan I agree. You cant match todays music up to this. I try to not listen to this song often so I can appreciate it more because its just so good!!
I hate to burst your bubble, but there is a good chance that the quartet was dubbed. Most musical numbers in films then were pre-recorded. The good looking quartet was probably only decor to Jane's singing, but I also hope I am wrong.
@@brianoyler4777 I think you're right; I believe the only two who are really singing are Scotty and Jane. The guy in the quartet at the far left is quite the 1948 poster boy.
FYI this is a parody of the original song "Judaline" same rhythm and tempo but not the lyrics. Judaline was a woman who had no shame in her game and if your were called Judaline back in the day you were being labeled a whore.

@@candellina6 Omg is your profile picture from Azalea's Dolls?? I recognize it from her 1940s dress-up game!
@@HattieMcDanielonaMoon oh my goodness, yes it is!
"A Date With Judy" is one of my favorite movies, Luv Jane Powell
Happy 90th Birthday Jane Powell 💖💖💖
So sad how society has deteriorated to the place where the crude and obscene are elevated
Wonderful voicing! I miss these types of harmonies! Dense, dense chords!
I can't listen to this, I won't want to enjoy "rap" music any more!
Been 5 years since my last comment... and still kicks ass 👍

... and those boppish trumpet fills and the flatted fifth ending - it was 1948 after all!
Beautiful
Rest In Peace Jane Powell
A very young Elizabeth Taylor, very classy, 40s teens had way more class than today’s teens
The guy in the green went on a three day drug fueled shoot out with police and died of a drug overdose.
@@TrangPakbaby what? Proof? I googled that he pass away in a car accident
Scotty 🥺❤️
So sad. He seemed like a lovely person with a genuine personality. It's a shame he had such troubles in his life.
The best
Thanks for the upload !
Cool😃

73 years ago! Yikes! 19 year old Jane Powell and 16(!) year old Elizabeth Taylor. RIP Jane: 09/16/21
According to IMDb, Elizabeth Taylor was 15 years old when the movie was filmed.
Anyone got the lyrics for seconds 0:37- 0:44??
@Ed Miller Thanks!
Like an angel out of space,
Golden hair and a classic face.
Nothing like her any place,
Man she’s really fine!
Then suddenly Marilyn Manson enterupt...
All those fresh faces are dead
hes look like justin temberlake
