Giles Martin (George Martin's son) produced this new remix of Revolver, and it was especially helpful for covering She Said She Said. George Harrison's two lead guitars are now separated in stereo and heard more clearly. I copied the stereo panning (left right) of Giles's 2022 mix for this cover, panning George's guitars left and right
Another thing we learned from the Revolver box set is what key this song was recorded in. The album version was always slightly sharp of B flat, and it left people wondering if the song was recorded in B flat, or in A and then sped up. A lot of Revolver songs were sped up or down, which in turn raises or lowers the pitch. The box set outtake of She Said She Said is clearly in B flat, which means that John and George both placed a capo on the 1st fret of their guitars and played in A
John most likely used his Epiphone Casino into a Fender Showman or Bassman amp. He did have a Gretsch 6120 that he used on Paperback Writer/Rain, but She Said She Said sounds warmer like the Casino to me. For this cover I'm also using an Epiphone Casino into my 1965 Fender Bassman amp. An Analogman King of Tone is being used as a boost to crunch it up (very slightly)
George played his 1964 Gibson SG Standard into a Vox UL7120 or UL730 amp for both lead guitar parts. I'm playing my 1970 Gibson SG Special, which is slightly different from George's in that it has single coil P-90 pickups instead of humbuckers. I'm also using my Aclam Doctor Robert overdrive pedal into the Fender Bassman. This pedal is a clone of the Vox UL730 circuit, and mimicks the Revolver album tones perfectly

Are you guys using the new Dr Robert Pedal ? If not, you really need to check it out, it will blow your mind . It’s taken from design of the Vox UL-730 Amp

    This sounds great!
I wish the remix had panned the Casino to the centre like you have it. Frankly this song was the biggest disappointment in the remixes for me, the guitar panning completely changed the feel of the arrangement and made it sound more watered down. Your guitar mix is better... you can distinguish the guitars but they still wash over you like on the original mix. The Casino ties the two Gibson tracks together.

I totally agree. The new mix is incredibly helpful for hearing the different parts like the organ and the second lead guitar. But the original mono mix of Revolver is still just better. Sometimes insightful doesn’t mean more artful? Pepper in mono is still the best to me
