Thanks for this video. Have always wondered about cloth mats and actually having video reference makes all the difference. Usually go with neoprene but they can be a pest to store rolled if you have more than a couple. With all the uncertainty over importing to the UK right now, it’s also good to have a UK based company to order from without the extra charges
@@StormofSteelWargaming I already own 10 mats covering Winter, Desert, temperate, and water. Even have a few texturized matts from Sigil Hobbies. They are on the list when the time comes. Thank you again.
I love their mats too, excellent quality, but struggling a bit with a customer service issue going back to December of last year. Still hoping for a good resolution.
Unfortunately, i also had a rather longish conversation with them, regarding a wrong mat, i received. It took quite some patience and repetetive emails by me, but in the end, we worked everything out to a great solution. Product quality is top notch
Good idea for a review but I would have preferred to see the mats flat on the table to better judge their texture and look for an actual game. Thanks for posting, though.

@@StormofSteelWargaming Thanks! Very gracious of you. I'm not on Facebook so this was the only way to contact and connect with you. What is the approximate "sweet spot" for size of forces attacker vs defender - that gives both sides a reasonably fair chance of winning? As a longtime gamer I always find this a key issue when hosting - and even had this as a "question of the month" on a Lardie podcast. Thanks for subscribing and good being in touch.
@@Vlad65WFPReviews It's a good question and one that I struggle with as well, TBH. I normally have a ratio of 3:2 in favour of the attacker, but that is quite loose. But then a lot of the Lardy games change this as they are based on the collapse of force morale, and not battlefield destruction, so in their games, including O Group it's quite possible to have an equal amount for attacker and defender as it's about what you target on the table that ultimately decides. Obviously a defender can be dug in and can put up obstacles, but in CoC for example, the core platoons are similar, but the support points are then balanced for attacker and defender... Short answer, I really don't know...
The one I have is a couple of inches short to the 8' x 5' it is suppose to be. I have also found him difficult to deal with, very hit and miss with communication. Several of my friends have had similar problems, which is very frustrating given the quality of the mats.

Excellent Review. I love Tiny Wargame mats myself. They store very easily even the rubber backed ones roll well.
Yeah, they are great aren't they? Many thanks Andrew!
Just gets more and more professional. Keep up the good work👍
Cheers Andy, it's the new camera!

Glad you enjoyed the video and yeah, storage is always an issue, but less so with the cloth mats.
Once again excellent review, as mentioned before asked you about your mat and will be getting the grass one later🤓👍 keep up the good work.
Cheers Kevin, glad you liked the video and the mats!
Thank you. Didn't even know they made matts.
And now you have no excuse not to buy one! Cheers Thomas!

They have some nice designs, I have the desert one and have been very pleased with it.

"Single sided"
Or you could say they are all snow on the reverse side!
Very true!
How do you store the cloth mats? Interested to know if they crease when stored either folded or crumpled in a bag.
I fold them over the banister to the war room, there's no real issue with creasing tbh. Anyway, that's what irons are for.
@@StormofSteelWargaming thanks
Have you tried the lite cloths mats? If so how do they compare to the premium ones?
I haven't tried them, so I really couldn't say.
They look good but it seems a bit expensive???
Tbh, they are about an average price for similar mats. Plus the amount of use you get out of them, they soon pay for themselves.
How can they possibly pay for themselves?

Cheers, check out my other videos to see the grass green one in use and the concrete and red sand mats will be seen in a couple of future videos.

Aloha Steeler,
thx for the review. :)
Unfortunately the code doesn't seem to work!?
Hi, thanks for the comments, I've not used the code myself but over ono Twitter he has said it is: MONDAY. All caps. Try that?

Sorry to hear that Don, I've never had an issue with comms with Richard. I guess it is difficult running a small company though.
