    If it’s Tiny-approved, then it’s definitely a must-have!!😸😸.
I was a big fan of neoprene mats until I purchased my first fleece mat from Cigar Box Battle Mats. I still love using the neoprene as they are sturdy and have vibrant colors - but the fleece mats are definitely easier to setup, take down, and most importantly, store!

Tiny is a purveyor of fine quality, for sure. Yeah, storage with fleece (and cloth) mats is something to really take into consideration, and these are great for it!

I still use my mouse mat battlements for sea and air games but for land games, it's Geek Villain all the way. I had quite a few Cigar Box mats but they sold well on Ebay!

I've got one of their mats and they are lovely. Their fleece mats look and feel really nice... plus they will keep you warm in the coming winter 🥶.

Yeah, they are great quality and much cheaper than the gas and leccy bill...

I have two of their mats and love the mottled green hues; separate figure collections based with different shades of grass and tufts all look natural against them

You’re killing me, Alex. First it’s O Group, now I just went and ordered one of these mats for the Bolt Action Guadalcanal game at Adepticon. When my wife asks, I’m telling her who is to blame and it certainly isn’t me.....

Thanks for this video. I currently have a matching pair of 6x4 mats in the post and on their way to Australia (they should be here any day!). Nice to see that I made a good purchase.

Worth stating clearly if you bought it or got it mates rates...commercials give big channels freebies to review in the hope thry recieve a favourable review. Looks a bit shiny on camera would help to here your views how it will be for smaller scales not sure if the figs you used were 15mm 25/8mm mats can be very different for lighter fig bases...but im tempted for my 6mm ? Nice presentation..Thank-you for posting.

I paid normal rate for it and would have said if it was a freebie for review as I have done on other occasions. We've played 6mm games using the same type of mats at my club, so they are grand. Glad you enjoyed the video.

They are great gaming mats. Really bring the table to life.

Looks great. Does it crease (badly). I am considering a fleece mat as the material seems to crease less than cloth does…so would be very interested in your experience.

No, it doesn't. You saw me lay it out in the video straight from the bag it arrived in and it was smooth.

Really tempted to get one of these, however Tiny Wargames seems to do a very similar product just in cloth (not premium) for £40.
Does the material being fleece for £60 make this product that much better?
Is there even much of a difference between fleece and cloth?

    • @StormofSteelWargaming
      @StormofSteelWargaming  Год назад

The cloth ones are fine (I have a Tiny Wargames cloth grass mat), but fleece drapes over the table and can be used with hills placed underneath nicely. And yes, there's a huge difference between fleece and cloth, not just how I described, but also in feel, look and longevity. You get what you pay for.

When it comes to fleece mats how would they hold up to tree terrain that stabs through the mat to stay up?

How is the image quality vs the cloth/neoprene? I have a lot of the cloth/neoprene and they both suffer from pixilation when up close on camera. I've tried ordering from the fleece from Geek Villain twice only to have both orders canceled and refunded as out of stock even though they were in stock at the time.

    • @StormofSteelWargaming

      I have no idea, I haven't seen the cloth/neoprene mats, I'm afraid.

@@StormofSteelWargaming I will probably be needing a 4x6 in blue once I get going with playing some Napoleonic ship combat sometime soon... I know somewhere in the house at one time there was a blue fleece bed sheet but I can't remember where or if it's still here as a temporary fix...

GV also do sea mats, I would certainly be looking at them for your needs.
