One of JB's most fondly remembered concerts was a gig at The Garage in London. The reason for it's fame is a 26-minute long rendition of "Kanga Roo", due to JB's outright screaming. Nowadays it's nearly impossible to find, and the few copies that do exist online have nightmare fuel audio quality. A lot of his EPs and live albums have either gone out of print or are really hard to find. JB is widely admired for several reasons: Unique Voice: JB's vocal range and emotive singing style set him apart. His ability to convey deep emotion through his voice resonates with many listeners. Songwriting Talent: He was a gifted songwriter, blending various genres such as rock, folk, and pop. His lyrics often explore themes of love, loss, and longing, making them relatable to a wide audience. Iconic Covers: His rendition of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah" has become one of the most celebrated covers in music history. JB brought a fresh interpretation that highlighted the song's emotional depth. Musical Influences: JB drew from a diverse range of influences, including folk, rock, jazz, and classical music. This eclecticism allowed him to create a sound that appeals to many different musical tastes. Over the years, JB has developed a devoted fanbase that appreciates his artistry, leading to a lasting impact on both listeners and musicians. Overall, JB's combination of talent, emotional depth, and the circumstances surrounding his life and career contribute to his enduring popularity. 🤘🏼 🇬🇧
I'd be more conversant through the late Tim Buckley (Jeff's father), music discography recordings catalogue as an individual solo artist medium. Contrary by decade of Jeff's passing age, his father had various records (self-titled debut "Tim Buckley", (1966), when Tim had only one official release. Various unofficial bootleg available material as posthumous releases dedicated to the memory of Tim and Jeff Buckley exists in the public domain, two i've known that's released by a official label. (Dream Brother: The Songs Of Tim And Jeff Buckley) + (Sing A Song For You: Tribute To Tim Buckley) ☘
Great reaction! I feel like Jeff's god tier vocals often take the spotlight, but he really was an amazing songwriter, lyricist and musician on top of that. I'd recommend his mindblowing live version of 'Dream Brother'
