Nice one Ali, I am thinking about doing the same, just one thing you didn't mention the centre diff, are you using one. On another note what wheels do you have on your b74, I have binding issues with mine, steering links rubbing on inside of front wheels, will the 2.4 fit better to correct this.
The pointOne uses longer rear bones the front has a little bit different bearing arrangement in the hub different size bearings . If you run a slipper it’s a little different updated version. The chassis is a little different to allow for a ESC plate and clearance for the spur gear. But none of those Are absolutely necessary
Bro, you're missing the new battery strap! That drops 0.0001s per lap. 🤣 Just kidding, I think I like the old battery strap better actually... Good overview of the parts needed!
Great video. Thanks for showing all the required part numbers. Looking forward to your comments on how the car drives after the conversion. BTW, that is the largest bottle of loctite I’ve ever seen. How long does it take you to finish a bottle?
Thanks for doing all this work for us! What's your opinion, I have a B74 and we run on old school low bite tracks. Convert it into a D and buy a B74.1 for carpet or convert it into a B74.1 and buy a D? Either way, whichever one I run outdoors I'm going with the 31mm towers and shocks in the rear.
Thank you for your support. I'd say it's probably going to be a little cheaper to convert to a D and just buy a carpet car. I'm not exactly sure but I think quite a few things are different on the carpet car.
Thanks for the video! I got the +4 exotek, so kit says to still use 3mm of spacers with the +3 rack. Equals +6 total. So for mine I only need 2mm of spacers to be +6? Or is the rack moving zero and I have to add 4mm of spacers? The fast forward video makes it look way more work than it was😁. did you move the b block to the 1 down as well?
Thanks for video bro been following long time
Thanks for the support!
Thanks for the video...I'm looking up part # to swap my b74 over..
Make sure to get 66mm dog bones 92213 and axles 92207 if you don't already have them on your car.
Will this work on a car thats run on turf.......
@@paulpadilla5288 I'm not sure. I think so, but I'd cross reference the manuals just to be sure.

Yes on the diff. Stock ae 2.2 wheels

Supposed to be the D version. Fixed in title. I had the 66mm bones already on the 74. As most people did.
Nice video, you forgot the c&d plate are new for the 74.1, they are lower by 1 pill setting, the go along with the new rear shock setup.
If you're referring to the c and d block, it was covered in the video. Not sure what plates are. Thank you for your support.

That's a team velocity battery strap on the car. Adds 0.001s per lap 😂
The rear shocks on the original B74 are 31mm. Does that mean that the original B74 shock tower is the same as the B74.1 31mm shock tower #ASC92256?
They are different
@@RCAlley can i use the stock rear shock body with the 27.5mm shock shaft?
@@167switchback you can but i don't think it would feel quite right
@@RCAlley what lenght do i need?
@@167switchback 31mm
How much do you think it cost total in parts to convert? Thanks for listing all the parts!
It's around 150 to $200. Don't remember exactly.

Thank you. That's coming soon. Haha I've had it for at least 5 years that I can remember. Still hasn't dried up luckily.

You have to add 4mm. No rest of setup is per the sheet minus front shock oil I went down to 37.5
