This is one of the best videos yet !! Need more of these, will help so many of us average racers get better. Keep them coming... Hope you can do one for the 2wd ?? Explaining the "why" for the change is great stuff. THANKS
Very nice video explaining everything you're doing with your car I would say your video is probably better than most of them out of there because you're not getting in a hurry but you're taking your time appreciate it
Great insight into how you tune your car and, more importantly, why! 👍 Lots of excellent info. Love to see one like this on the 2WD platform. Also, glad you're enjoying all the travelling, just be safe! 🙂
Thanks Spencer! This really helped me begin to understand some aspects of set up changes and more importantly, why to do them and what they do. Would you consider making a bunch of short videos that follow this thought? For example; a clip with your 2wd, focusing on when, why, and what it does to the car when you change the pills in the c and d blocks. I would love a whole tutorial series that clears up a lot of the misconceptions we amateur racers are struggling through to maybe make the hobby more enjoyable for us. Thanks again for the great video! Keep them coming! We really appreciate them!
Thanks to Spencer for all you do. Great kid! Anyone willing to help an old racer, it will be GREATLY appreciated. I started rc nitro racing with the Jammin' x1 Truggy, WAY back in the day! Now, I'm 55 and still love 1/8th racing (Tekno e-buggy), but our shop now also has a small/medium indoor, hard packed, red clay off-road track. I've raced my buddy's 2wd 17.5 a few times, and liked it, but at my age, I'm more comfortable with the easier driving 4wd's. So, I'm building a B74.1d for our 13.5 class. I'm looking for non twitchy, EASIEST to drive setups/tips. Spencer's video hinted a lot at setup adjustments being "easier" or more predictable and forgiving, but does that mean easier for a pro, or would this complete setup make for an overall easier driving car, even for a club racer like myself? Thanks for any suggestions. Trump 2021!
Nice.video Spencer , I will try tuning my 4wd buggy with some of your tuning tips. Hope you will be able to do the same thing for your 2wd buggy that could be a great help for all 😉
When you talk about the front shock towers, what part number is that. Can't find one that says +1. For the spacers for the rear hub, trying to find those as well.,
@@mgers75 My theory is: both a dead servo and a broken horn cause a DNF, a dead servo is more expensive and time consuming to replace than a broken horn, so that one is chosen as the weak point.
Do you ever run the Savox low-profile servo's? Curious if you run the full size just for durability or are you tuning for a little more weight? Great video! Please keep them coming and look forward to seeing this for the 2wd buggy, stadium, and SCT.
Are these changes in shock bodies and new rear shock tower going to be a running change to the kits soon? Kind rough to buy a new kit then immediately need to change the out bodies and shock tower.
No, the kit was just released not to long ago. The shocks are an option. Unfortunately it’s difficult to be able to put everything in to production. So that’s why we make options parts :)
Is that the B74.1 or B74.1d because I'm trying to figure out which one I want for Christmas because this will be my first time driving a 4wd buggy 😭😭 Trackside AE event

Thanks for taking the time to lay out your set up and your reasons why +/- on things to change and why. really helps
Great video Spencer! Your definitely getting your camera work squared away. It would be great if you can do one for the b6.2d. Thanks for all you do!
This is fantastic. Thanks so much. EVERY 1/10 racer can benefit from watching this.
Thank you so much! I appreciate you watching

He is safe.
We're all safe... (from the virus, not our current government.)
Would love to see a vid like this for the 1/8 buggy and truggy! Struggling planting the rear end on my T3.1e!
Same
How is the T3.1e? I'm looking at a T3.2e.
Thanks Spencer! This really helped me begin to understand some aspects of set up changes and more importantly, why to do them and what they do.

That was a great video, you have been away quite a while, good to see you back again, give us more videos about your set ups,😀😀😀
Great video super informative and helps to explain the cause and effect as well as the reason for the changes in the setup sheet. Gracias
We enjoyed having you there!! Glad you enjoyed it! See ya next year for MOD2021😁
YES! Info gold Spencer. Thanks for making this video

Trump 2021!
Thanks for the comment! Means a lot. When I explain it’s easier, I’m saying it for everyone:)
Nice job hopefully i can take these input into my own car and calm her down. Gonna give these ideas a try on another make.
Duuuuuude! Nice video! Technical AND "feely". You're speaking my language!

Super video! One of the most useful and helpful I have seen!!!

awesome video we run on lose dirt in New Zealand but I can use what you have explained to tweak my settings. Thanks
Awesome video dude. Best one yet a lot of good info. And your colors looks sick on that body
Thanks man! I really appreciate it
Next vid go thru that RC8T3.2e & RC8B3.2e in comparison to my 3.1s🤔😁. Want to see how those narrow blocks changes your setup. 👍 Thanks for the Vid
Great information. I think I will try upgrading to 500k center fluid
Can you show the settings for B62? It may not be yours. Maybe you can show the differences between 2WD and 4WD?
Great vid, but could you detail the differences in setup when running on Astro?

Wow awesome Video Spencer! you’re the best!
i hope the rode mic sounds better than what u are using right now, good vid , good lighting ,but sound needs help , really good content though
More vids like this! Loving my 74.1d after one race day
Awesome to hear! Thank you
@@spencerrivkinracing Why are you guys chancing a DNF with plastic servo horns? I see them listed on all of the top AE driver's setup sheets.
@@mgers75 My theory is: both a dead servo and a broken horn cause a DNF, a dead servo is more expensive and time consuming to replace than a broken horn, so that one is chosen as the weak point.
What do you mean when you say you have your sway bar at 1.2? Is that the position? The type of sway bar?
Do you ever run the Savox low-profile servo's? Curious if you run the full size just for durability or are you tuning for a little more weight? Great video! Please keep them coming and look forward to seeing this for the 2wd buggy, stadium, and SCT.
I’ve always preferred the full size Savox servos. I like the weight
Kind of glanced over the trl offset on the front rims. Whats the angle? Wider or narrow?
@Spencer Which do you prefer mod class or 13.5 Class
Do you any foam prep? (V-cutting, foam buster, etc.)
@Spencer Rivkin what does running the front TLR jcon offset wheel accomplish?
Thank you
Would the Masters of Dirt set up work at OCRC or stick with the testing set up? Thanks for the help.
I have one posted for OCRC :) on the link in the description. But yes this could work there too
Does the stock shock pivot balls fit the short ends looks to big

Great vid, great channel :) I drive Xray though :)
Thank you so much
Same thing, great video even if I run tlr.
I’m a little confused. This is a 74.1 used for dirt or clay? I thought the 74.1D was for dirt…. Does it really matter if it’s a D or not?
The b74.1D is for dirt because it comes with a center Diff. The B74.1 comes with a center slipper and thicker sway bars
Why the 22x4 front wheels ?
Having trouble finding the nations setup sheet
