He was just telling players not to marry while you playing ball cause the money you earn during ya playing career will be split with that woman that stayed til u retired from the league. So between taxes and divorce the player that earned all that money has maybe 20% of what they tell fans the players earned during their career. If you made 20 million for an example after taxes you have 12,000,000. After the divorce you have 6,000,000. Then living the high life you might have $2,000,000 left if they’re lucky.
