You can fight Fenrir at any obilisk probably any drop as well but I didn't check the drops yet. Math on the shotgun is wrong 3 with no misses would take 20 minutes. so 4 to5 shotguns.

@@KrugerOps Ya its going to be rough getting the blood lines going that fast. A lot of people keep mentioning spinos for boss fighting definitely going to have to test them out and see how they do. A daedon will help a lot in this fight if you can keep it alive and get passive healing to work.
Thanks for the first honest test, cuz other dudes were using super high lvl stats, totally unfair. I saw a video from Teach that he used a 4 gigas with 700% melee, even mutated giga has less than 600% (the base melee is 54 points, it's a low breeding but it took a while to get there on official settings)
ya gigas we have been working on for a few years are only born with close to 500 melee. You can get a level 150 wild giga tamed up and leveled to around 3 to 400 melee but thats with 70+ levels after taming it. Mutagel helps push up the stats a little just not on fjordur though at least not for a few more months.

u can probably use 1 magmasaur in order to protect u from projectiles and also to avoid freezing debuff in your tames, increasing the output damage... ( just a theory, but if u test lemme know )
I play official pve and we beat it with 17 theriz with 18 k health and 520 melee. 124 saddles. 4 stacks of cake each. 1 yuty and 2 players on stegos with 298 Shottys. Lost 8 theriz. These theriz was 33h and 38 m and imprinted.

With servers open now there are many strats to beat Fenrir most of them consist of taking highly mutated dinos in and smashing lol. This video came out within the first few weeks of the map dropping I have others as well showing what stats each dino would need to fight Fenrir and which dinos can go into the fights. If you want to farm the ammo you can use andrews from really far away while sending in some beefy rexes shadowmanes ect to tank. They key in this fight is for players to stay out of range of Fenrirs pull.
even with hypotethical perfect passive healing with the daeodon, considering the damage it does... it wouldn't heal for more than 40 seconds. even with 120k food
ya got to have a rider with kibble to feed the daedon between heals. I am always unsure of bringing them into boss fights when solo they have to have their own whistle group and can be a real pain and usually get eaten when trying to heal.
Nice going Camway, v informative. At 6:10 what you say is the real deal. Alpha Fenrir is only a completionist's trophy, heck I found it harder than Alpha Dinopithecus King. I beat him only 3 days back, with 0 losses. I did get to yield Mjolnir as I have enough OCD to have done all the pre-requisites but its Meh. Mjolnir needs to be boosted. Did get a cool 225 Lime-n-Lemonade Fenrir ! Have you thought of using Mammoth & Amarga debuffs against the boss ?
Nice they are giving the Fenrirs event colors. I do not know if they will allow Lost Islands dinos on Fjordur. Currently there is code keeping me from spawning them in on official settings. I don't trust single player to be accurate so I am not using it for this kind of test and I currently have primal fear on single player fjordur. The mammoth would be good especially if your taking in velons. Distract with rexes while velos melt the boss down.
Gonna have to guess that a mixed group is best. a couple good health shadowmanes to apply the thorns to reduce damage taken, but not he main dps, spinos or rexes for damage and aggro, whichever you get a better saddle for, a yuty, and a decent saddle daedon that is attacking as well, when a daedon attacks it will activate the healing, dont rely on the passive healing. Either way verry cool and difficult fight, love it!
Ya if you got more than 1 person to go in mixing up the dinos could be very useful just have to be careful because he can hit most of them all at once.
@@Clay44444 no, only that the Daedon will activate his healing when he attacks, so you want to set him to follow the whistles of the army instead of passively following
@@Clay44444 I do not know about double but with someone on it you can control where the heals are going better. Passive healing heals in intervals not all the time like riding and healing. It will heal the same amount vs food loss but riding on it will speed up the process. Passive healing also has a tendency to not work. A rider on a daedon can force feed it kibble to bring its food back up fast so it can heal again. Whereas a non-ridden daedon will only eat at normal intervals and be unable to heal anymore once its food runs out.
Just for tek engrams purposes, do I even need to fight Fenrir? I've heard there's map exclusive ones but I'm not sure if they're amazing "must have ones"... basically I'm just curious to know if I can get the Tek essentials without ever having to transfer lol
If you are on fjordur you can get something like 90% of the tek engrams without ever fighting Fenrir. The onyl unique things you get from Fenrir I believe is a fenrir tame and access to use thors hammer. Alpha Fenrir is the hardest boss with the least amount of reward. The only tek engrams you will be missing are from manticore abberation Gen 1 and Gen 2. Off the top off my head I want to say that is something like the tek shield, tek sleeping pod, tek trough railgun, tek rock drake saddle, tek skiff, the utility mek, tek snesor, some minor tek structures, I may have missed some but the most important tek for pvp comes from brood and dragon. The tek trough is nice for breeding though.

It's weird though, like Aberration wasn't even out yet when I was in a mega tribe and had access to boss battles (and I was on pvp not pve) but I have the tek rock drake saddle and 2 others unlocked despite me naturally never ever doing the fight lol, so weird

Do you have a gamma video of this fight up, trying to do it but transfers but alpha requirements are too strict on official to get the hp and meele up high enougy
Not currently but it seems quite a few people are interested in gamma and beta so I might give them a shot. They shouldn't be to tough though but you never know.
You should be able to breed some good rexs before transfers. I got tek rexs with 50 points in health and 43 in melee with no mutations yet and should have some good enough by the end of the month to do alpha
We are almost to this on offical and we're thinking 2 max sad imp Andrew 2 yuty and 16 imprinted shadows. Can you try this with shadows and a yuty? Appreciate the info
It is near the beginning of the video using shadowmanes and a yuti. Fenrir will target the player more often with shadowmanes in the fight. I believe the shadowmanes had 30k hp and 7oo melee or so. I can not watch the video while at work I beleive it says in the video the average stats that I used. I tested this with a lot of different shadowmane combos as Fenrir kept chasing me and killing me for most of them lol. It does take fenrir a little while to kill shadowmanes if you are looking to shoot it from a distance with andrews.
@@CamwayGaming GAMMA - We did this but took in 2 Spinos. EVERYTHING went after the spinos. Totally held boss attention we could even jump in Male shadow buff jump out. The Spinos died near end but did job on tanking in gamma. The three riders ran around outside one on an andrew (gathering them up ) and brought the add to us with pair shadow to kill, letting all the non riders dps boss. I think he we started handling the adds at beginning the spino would been ok since they adds were also going straight for them.
Haha thanks. Should test stuff like wyverns, rock golems, rock drakes, griffins, magmas, velos, karkinos, there might be some crazy strats that come about from these tames. For example: Rock drakes heal 500 hp from nameless venom and you can farm hundreds of nameless venom @ the abb cave on this map so maybe you can cheese w/ rock drakes
That is a great question and I can not answer with 100% certainty until our tribe does this fight together but I am fairly certain everyone will get one since it goes straight into the players inventory not looted from the dino body like the trophy and element. Just like boss flags go into everyone's inventory

Great video thanks for the warning lol. Was goin to take on alpha fenrir with my shadow manes but thinking using my rexes are the better option. I Play on Official servers. My shadows are 50k health and 2700-3100 melee. And my rexes are 100-105k health and 2k to 2100 melee
Either should win easily you just wont be able to shadowmane buff without another player in the arena to make sure if you get grabbed up and killed all your dinos die if your alone. Rex with 45k hp 900-1200 melee should be good enough if they have 70 armor or better saddles.
unsure currently they have it hard coded to keep reapers and lost islands dinos off the map. It wont even let me admin command spawn them. It might if I went to single player but single player bosses do not work the same way.
Fenrir target the largest drag weight dino, yuty have biger drag weight than thery, if you use thery bring 2 rex to make it not agro to yuty, make sure the dino u ride not have higher drag weight
I actually beat Alpha Fenrir with aTheri Army riding a command Yuty. I won with 0 losses. Don't need Rexes. So long as Boss takes 1st aggro from Theri & my Theri Army is placed between boss & Yuty, Yuty will not be targeted. You can refer that video on my channel. Unlocked Mjolnir & a 225 Fenrir but it's only needed for completionist sake.
@@927Chito it is unlikely that you can still tame the high level dinos Wildcard patches that fast usually when they realize they made a mistake. It is often a repeatable on though so next dlc lol. those with the level 400 dinos get to keep them generally though. They can clone and breed to get new ones.
Seems like spinosaurus will be best. Without the buff, they still do more dps than a Rex, and with the water buff their damage is insane. They are really big and should keep aggro. In addition, the broodmother and megapithecus arenas on Fjordur also have water, so spinosaurus' could work very well on this map.

It could be. If you take velos in the mamoth could give them infinite stam. Even if you dont dismount though the ghost wolf and frost breath still do massive damage need a lot of hp and med brews.
Should be but you might not be able to shadowmane buff due to how close you have to get. There are lots of variables if it is single player most defiantly. If it is officials I'd say 90% likely unofficials it is up in the air depends on settings. Of course if Fenrir yoinks you in everything dies make sure to bring a buddy just in case.
@@kevinkeitz8149 They should be ok try and keep the fight focused in the water so the shadowmanes get extra damage. If you have someone go with you then one player can dart in and out trying to keep the shadowmanes buff going and trying not to get pulled of by fenrir. It might help if you bring in a couple pure tank Rexes just so that Fenrir has something big to target. With only shadowmanes Fenrirs attention will cycle to the players quite often. The only thing I wonder about is the diminishing return on melee. I have not tested the difference between 900 damage and 2000. The difference may not be that much. Depending on the difference more hp might be better than melee. On most dinos diminishing returns start around 600 melee. Rexes with those stats would win for sure so there is a high chance shadowmanes will to. Without the buff though you are missing out on a damage boost but the water buff might make up for some of that. I do not want to tell you 100% they will win because I have not tested those numbers myself but mathematically there is a high chance they win.
So spend a very long time getting a ton of high level rexes with good saddles and a really high level Yuty or two? brb gonna go grind for a loooong time
Welcome to Ark :) Fenrir is the final ultimate boss. Most older tribes have rexes that far exceed what is needed. If you apply mutagel correctly when breeding you can hit the numbers needed much faster. Tek rexes are also a good way to start as they can be level 180 and if you get lucky more of their points will go into melee and or health. If you have a tribe or at least 6 players you can cheese Fenrir a little bit but it will still take some grinding to get what you need.
I do not know how to use mods on a server and single player is not a great place to test as the bosses are much weaker. Do you play on a modded server or on single player? If you tell me how much hp they get saddle quality and the amount of dmg they deal per second unridden I can tell you if they will work or not.
Allo doesn't do much compare to Rexes, Spinos, Theriz, other than the fact it is easier to raise, Allo is better on taking down Brute Creatures on Alpha Difficulty in Genesis Part 1, where just 2 of them can kill Alpha Brute Spino
Though we can't ignore the fact Allo Army is still viable, which majority of Allo has Pack Alpha buff, increase their damage resistance and damage dealt at same time, making them dealing same base damage as Theriz, however their health is a concern, being lower than even Spino
@@CamwayGaming Though Allo is not the best creature to take on bosses, it is the cheapest dino to kill a Giga, watch my video if you want to see how they do it
lol ya they would pretty much kill most things in the game if they have decent enough saddles. The big risk in this fight is getting grabbed off your dino and dying
@@I_am_ggduo If your solo i would recommend just riding a rex since your stats are high on them and just sit back and whistle the others in and stay away from the fight. Just let your other 19 rexes do the fighting. You could ride a yuty but due to drag weights fenrir likes to target the yuty and you're more likely to get pulled off. Also if your within a certain range one of his attacks is a direct hit on the player. Take health brews fria curry and if you have it cactus broth . If have less than 300 hps stay really far away at least on alpha. Gamma damage to the player is not as bad. Your rexes can beat alpha though
So use a mount to tank while shooting off of the back of it with maxed out shotties? Use tank T rexes to maintain its aggro while your team just wails on it. 3 people should manage that possibly?
I do not know the exact damage difference between a 264 and a 298 shotgun. With a 264 if no one misses and you start at exactly 20 minutes 5 people can kill it. Of course that does not include the damage the dinos tanking will do to it so possibly 3 will work if the dinos tanking deal enough damage. Just watch out for Fenrirs attacks quite a few of them can hit you if your on a dino that is small enough to shott from the back of.
We just beat Alpha on official for our server first, and this video was super helpful to know what NOT* to bring vs bring. Also showing how hard his dismount hits helped us- but even with 1k hp and amazing flak our Yuty rider died haha. did it instakill him as soon as he got hit by ghost wolf? or dismounted then got killed by fenrir? I only asked cause my mate got 1 shotted off a rex but he did only have 150hp vs me getting dismounted from a rex with 400hp and did not die. This mechanic scared tf out of me. lol!
I see this and think it would be imposible to me to beat it in my single player mode as i set max lvl to 300 and max difficulty. Ive seen in the videos when fighting the broodmother, the spider minions were level 500, and when i fought her, they were lvl 1000. Went with 8 rexxes with 40k and 650dmg and 12 shadows with 30k and 650dmg. Almost beat her, but still lost. Im preparing again but this time im taking a yuty to get aggro and deinos to dmg. Seems that you can make deinos surround the broodmother or the megapithecus as they try to get the yuty, so the deinos dont get dmg. But that wont work with fenrir :S
ya fenrir just hits everything near it lol. As far as the rexes on your brrodmother fight go they were a little weak for the brood fight. At 40k hp they would need 8to 900 melee. Just shadowmanes though 20 of them using the shadowmane buff should be able to take the brood with your stats. Make sure the rexes have 100 or better armor saddles.
A group of 10 players can win with shotguns from a distance while their dinos tank fenrir. If they have good andrew saddles 10 can kill the boss in 12 to 17 minutes. There are a lot of things you can do with a larger group n boss fights to make it easier.
Should be able to. Shadowmanes are generally close to rexes so that should be more than enough but if your solo and you die then all the shadowmanes die anyway. So if yo are riding a sahadowmane to buff the shadowmanes amke sure to have good armor and 700+ hp so you do not get 1 shot off of the shadowmane.
I won the gamma & Beta Fenrir with Shadowmanes with half of your stats. So long as you dont take aggro from boss (due low drag weight of shadowmanes) & thus die, the boss will be beaten easily with your army. Make sure to take a Theri/Rex with the shadows to draw Boss's aggro to army & not you.
@@Arindam_Gaming Yeah the best method I found was to just send my shadowmanes in and me and my friend would just ride around the arena on andrews and just kill the fenrir minions with our the andrew saddle gun our first time around we were on the shadowmanes and got one shot by his beam attack xD. Anyway using my method we did alpha in around 3 min
It insta kills with the phantom wolf everytime even if your on a Rex or Yut and have over 2000+ armor. One hit from the phantom wolf and death. Its too much and cheap feeling.
you get a level 150 fenrir for gamma, not sure what level you get for beta, and 225 for alpha but tamed Fenrir are a joke compared to the boss because they don't get the ice breath and you can't breed them so what's the point unfortunately.
Official pvp. I was 1 shotted off of a Yuty. Easily won with Yuty, 2 Andy's and rex's. 8 others just ran on foot way back and we won easily. Easy win is boss rex and all players standing far away.
Best advice for getting good Rexes just search your clusters looking for admins who are breeding them then sneak up and take a few can get capped melee or health Rexes no problem
I tested the Fenrir wolfs and since you can not breed or improve them even once leveled all the way up they do not stand a chance they die in moments of the fight starting. They are not immune to any of the ice attacks.
Also, if you read this, I need some help. We have 662 level shadowmanes, 50k hp and 1660 melee without any stats leveled up, so realistically somewhere around 75k hp 2000 melee. There would be 3 of us. Our initial tactic would have been that one of us is riding a male shadow, one is riding a yuty and one is riding a daeodon. Do you think we should switch the daeodon out for a shadow instead? Should the guy riding the shadow just.. not? If he shouldn't ride the shadow, what do you recommend instead? Do we even stand a chance lol?
Melee has a diminishing return on most dinos after 600 so I would not bother leveling melee any higher for this fight instead focus on hp since there is a good chance you will lose the shadowmane buff. Your shadowmanes should be more than enough for this fight but the player buffing the shadowmanes is likely to get ripped off at some point and if he dies that's that for the buff. Rexes are best for this fight. Just restat to 8-900 hp enough weight to move with your gear and the rest in movement speed. that should allow you to survive Fenrirs yoink long enough to get back on any mount jsut get on one and get out. Makes sure to have wichever dino your riding on ignore group whistles have it on follow that way when you have to bail it will follow and you can switch back to the right dino. Worst case is 2 of you die last guy just runs off and lets the shadowmanes take their chances.
The map has been out 3 weeks and official tribes lock a map down to themselves on day 1 and with the breeding event if they pushed hard they probably have decent boss fighters already. You get fenrir from all levels of the fight as well could just be leveled up fenrirs. There is also mention of an exploit to kill the boss with so possibly that.
Ya gigas would tear through bosses so they dont let them in. There have been ways in the past to get a gigia in they may have been patched but even just getting 1 giga in destroyed the bosses super fast. Gigas are strong in pvp if you have been mutating their melee stat. For Pve they are one of the best hide and meat gatherers though you dont need to go beyond 400 melee for that since its capped.
When you get people in Ark that are cool to game with they end up quitting ark leaving you solo again. ITs the eb and flow of ark. None of my friends that I hang with in person will play Ark so I feel you.
I give zero shats about Fenrir now that I know you get B's for killing him. It's basically a reward for tribes or people who have been in tribes who killed all bosses plus found all explorer notes etc. Nice vid but wildcard proves yet again to be ultimate arse holes
lol ya no doubt Fenrir is not worth the trouble its just for completionists. It is unlikely that many people will ever be able to use Thors hammer on officials. Cant even breed the fenrirs. Maybe they will update it after all this is the beta of fjordur

It is a server set to be exactly the same as official. No one has dinos able to beat Fenrir in the first week of the new map. On official servers rexes have so much melee Fenrir is a joke. I have been playing official pvp for 5 years. This is an educational video on the fenrir fight works and what you would need before server transfers opened to win. lol ya Alpha Fenrir deals the damage. Imprinted with good saddles should be fine though if going it solo switch to a health build on your character.

Go invisible with Shadow or rock drake, 298% Shotgun and few players, The rest is tank tek rexes 60P HP and 55P Melee With 124 Saddles

I don't trust single player to be accurate so I am not using it for this kind of test and I currently have primal fear on single player fjordur.
The mammoth would be good especially if your taking in velons. Distract with rexes while velos melt the boss down.
Gonna have to guess that a mixed group is best. a couple good health shadowmanes to apply the thorns to reduce damage taken, but not he main dps, spinos or rexes for damage and aggro, whichever you get a better saddle for, a yuty, and a decent saddle daedon that is attacking as well, when a daedon attacks it will activate the healing, dont rely on the passive healing. Either way verry cool and difficult fight, love it!
Ya if you got more than 1 person to go in mixing up the dinos could be very useful just have to be careful because he can hit most of them all at once.

@@Clay44444 no, only that the Daedon will activate his healing when he attacks, so you want to set him to follow the whistles of the army instead of passively following
@@Clay44444 I do not know about double but with someone on it you can control where the heals are going better. Passive healing heals in intervals not all the time like riding and healing. It will heal the same amount vs food loss but riding on it will speed up the process. Passive healing also has a tendency to not work.
A rider on a daedon can force feed it kibble to bring its food back up fast so it can heal again. Whereas a non-ridden daedon will only eat at normal intervals and be unable to heal anymore once its food runs out.

Just for tek engrams purposes, do I even need to fight Fenrir? I've heard there's map exclusive ones but I'm not sure if they're amazing "must have ones"... basically I'm just curious to know if I can get the Tek essentials without ever having to transfer lol
If you are on fjordur you can get something like 90% of the tek engrams without ever fighting Fenrir. The onyl unique things you get from Fenrir I believe is a fenrir tame and access to use thors hammer. Alpha Fenrir is the hardest boss with the least amount of reward.
The only tek engrams you will be missing are from manticore abberation Gen 1 and Gen 2. Off the top off my head I want to say that is something like the tek shield, tek sleeping pod, tek trough railgun, tek rock drake saddle, tek skiff, the utility mek, tek snesor, some minor tek structures,
I may have missed some but the most important tek for pvp comes from brood and dragon. The tek trough is nice for breeding though.

It's weird though, like Aberration wasn't even out yet when I was in a mega tribe and had access to boss battles (and I was on pvp not pve) but I have the tek rock drake saddle and 2 others unlocked despite me naturally never ever doing the fight lol, so weird

Do you have a gamma video of this fight up, trying to do it but transfers but alpha requirements are too strict on official to get the hp and meele up high enougy
Not currently but it seems quite a few people are interested in gamma and beta so I might give them a shot. They shouldn't be to tough though but you never know.
You should be able to breed some good rexs before transfers. I got tek rexs with 50 points in health and 43 in melee with no mutations yet and should have some good enough by the end of the month to do alpha
We are almost to this on offical and we're thinking 2 max sad imp Andrew 2 yuty and 16 imprinted shadows. Can you try this with shadows and a yuty? Appreciate the info
It is near the beginning of the video using shadowmanes and a yuti. Fenrir will target the player more often with shadowmanes in the fight. I believe the shadowmanes had 30k hp and 7oo melee or so. I can not watch the video while at work I beleive it says in the video the average stats that I used. I tested this with a lot of different shadowmane combos as Fenrir kept chasing me and killing me for most of them lol.
It does take fenrir a little while to kill shadowmanes if you are looking to shoot it from a distance with andrews.
@@CamwayGaming GAMMA - We did this but took in 2 Spinos. EVERYTHING went after the spinos. Totally held boss attention we could even jump in Male shadow buff jump out. The Spinos died near end but did job on tanking in gamma. The three riders ran around outside one on an andrew (gathering them up ) and brought the add to us with pair shadow to kill, letting all the non riders dps boss. I think he we started handling the adds at beginning the spino would been ok since they adds were also going straight for them.

Haha thanks. Should test stuff like wyverns, rock golems, rock drakes, griffins, magmas, velos, karkinos, there might be some crazy strats that come about from these tames. For example: Rock drakes heal 500 hp from nameless venom and you can farm hundreds of nameless venom @ the abb cave on this map so maybe you can cheese w/ rock drakes

That is a great question and I can not answer with 100% certainty until our tribe does this fight together but I am fairly certain everyone will get one since it goes straight into the players inventory not looted from the dino body like the trophy and element. Just like boss flags go into everyone's inventory

Great video thanks for the warning lol. Was goin to take on alpha fenrir with my shadow manes but thinking using my rexes are the better option. I Play on Official servers. My shadows are 50k health and 2700-3100 melee. And my rexes are 100-105k health and 2k to 2100 melee
Either should win easily you just wont be able to shadowmane buff without another player in the arena to make sure if you get grabbed up and killed all your dinos die if your alone. Rex with 45k hp 900-1200 melee should be good enough if they have 70 armor or better saddles.

unsure currently they have it hard coded to keep reapers and lost islands dinos off the map. It wont even let me admin command spawn them. It might if I went to single player but single player bosses do not work the same way.
Fenrir target the largest drag weight dino, yuty have biger drag weight than thery, if you use thery bring 2 rex to make it not agro to yuty, make sure the dino u ride not have higher drag weight
I actually beat Alpha Fenrir with aTheri Army riding a command Yuty. I won with 0 losses. Don't need Rexes. So long as Boss takes 1st aggro from Theri & my Theri Army is placed between boss & Yuty, Yuty will not be targeted. You can refer that video on my channel. Unlocked Mjolnir & a 225 Fenrir but it's only needed for completionist sake.

@@927Chito it is unlikely that you can still tame the high level dinos Wildcard patches that fast usually when they realize they made a mistake. It is often a repeatable on though so next dlc lol. those with the level 400 dinos get to keep them generally though. They can clone and breed to get new ones.
what about direwolves?? before they patched it I managed to tame a couple lvl 290 wolves in the ice cave.
Very unlikely at least on alpha I tired with fenrirs and they got destroyed in under a minute.
Seems like spinosaurus will be best. Without the buff, they still do more dps than a Rex, and with the water buff their damage is insane. They are really big and should keep aggro.
In addition, the broodmother and megapithecus arenas on Fjordur also have water, so spinosaurus' could work very well on this map.
I will definitely have to give them a try.

It could be. If you take velos in the mamoth could give them infinite stam. Even if you dont dismount though the ghost wolf and frost breath still do massive damage need a lot of hp and med brews.

Should be but you might not be able to shadowmane buff due to how close you have to get. There are lots of variables if it is single player most defiantly. If it is officials I'd say 90% likely unofficials it is up in the air depends on settings. Of course if Fenrir yoinks you in everything dies make sure to bring a buddy just in case.

@@kevinkeitz8149 They should be ok try and keep the fight focused in the water so the shadowmanes get extra damage. If you have someone go with you then one player can dart in and out trying to keep the shadowmanes buff going and trying not to get pulled of by fenrir.
It might help if you bring in a couple pure tank Rexes just so that Fenrir has something big to target. With only shadowmanes Fenrirs attention will cycle to the players quite often.
The only thing I wonder about is the diminishing return on melee. I have not tested the difference between 900 damage and 2000. The difference may not be that much. Depending on the difference more hp might be better than melee.
On most dinos diminishing returns start around 600 melee.
Rexes with those stats would win for sure so there is a high chance shadowmanes will to.
Without the buff though you are missing out on a damage boost but the water buff might make up for some of that.
I do not want to tell you 100% they will win because I have not tested those numbers myself but mathematically there is a high chance they win.

Welcome to Ark :)
Fenrir is the final ultimate boss. Most older tribes have rexes that far exceed what is needed.
If you apply mutagel correctly when breeding you can hit the numbers needed much faster.
Tek rexes are also a good way to start as they can be level 180 and if you get lucky more of their points will go into melee and or health.
If you have a tribe or at least 6 players you can cheese Fenrir a little bit but it will still take some grinding to get what you need.

I do not know how to use mods on a server and single player is not a great place to test as the bosses are much weaker. Do you play on a modded server or on single player?
If you tell me how much hp they get saddle quality and the amount of dmg they deal per second unridden I can tell you if they will work or not.

fairly sure the only dino that can bleed a boss is the dien.
Allo doesn't do much compare to Rexes, Spinos, Theriz, other than the fact it is easier to raise, Allo is better on taking down Brute Creatures on Alpha Difficulty in Genesis Part 1, where just 2 of them can kill Alpha Brute Spino
Though we can't ignore the fact Allo Army is still viable, which majority of Allo has Pack Alpha buff, increase their damage resistance and damage dealt at same time, making them dealing same base damage as Theriz, however their health is a concern, being lower than even Spino

My Rex has 100k h and 7k dmg is that ok for gamma

@@I_am_ggduo If your solo i would recommend just riding a rex since your stats are high on them and just sit back and whistle the others in and stay away from the fight. Just let your other 19 rexes do the fighting.
You could ride a yuty but due to drag weights fenrir likes to target the yuty and you're more likely to get pulled off.
Also if your within a certain range one of his attacks is a direct hit on the player.
Take health brews fria curry and if you have it cactus broth . If have less than 300 hps stay really far away at least on alpha. Gamma damage to the player is not as bad.
Your rexes can beat alpha though

So use a mount to tank while shooting off of the back of it with maxed out shotties? Use tank T rexes to maintain its aggro while your team just wails on it. 3 people should manage that possibly?
I do not know the exact damage difference between a 264 and a 298 shotgun. With a 264 if no one misses and you start at exactly 20 minutes 5 people can kill it. Of course that does not include the damage the dinos tanking will do to it so possibly 3 will work if the dinos tanking deal enough damage. Just watch out for Fenrirs attacks quite a few of them can hit you if your on a dino that is small enough to shott from the back of.

what tames and stats did you have?
did it instakill him as soon as he got hit by ghost wolf? or dismounted then got killed by fenrir? I only asked cause my mate got 1 shotted off a rex but he did only have 150hp vs me getting dismounted from a rex with 400hp and did not die. This mechanic scared tf out of me. lol!

I see this and think it would be imposible to me to beat it in my single player mode as i set max lvl to 300 and max difficulty.
Ive seen in the videos when fighting the broodmother, the spider minions were level 500, and when i fought her, they were lvl 1000. Went with 8 rexxes with 40k and 650dmg and 12 shadows with 30k and 650dmg. Almost beat her, but still lost.
Im preparing again but this time im taking a yuty to get aggro and deinos to dmg. Seems that you can make deinos surround the broodmother or the megapithecus as they try to get the yuty, so the deinos dont get dmg. But that wont work with fenrir :S
ya fenrir just hits everything near it lol. As far as the rexes on your brrodmother fight go they were a little weak for the brood fight. At 40k hp they would need 8to 900 melee. Just shadowmanes though 20 of them using the shadowmane buff should be able to take the brood with your stats. Make sure the rexes have 100 or better armor saddles.

A group of 10 players can win with shotguns from a distance while their dinos tank fenrir. If they have good andrew saddles 10 can kill the boss in 12 to 17 minutes. There are a lot of things you can do with a larger group n boss fights to make it easier.
What about 20 shadowmanes, all with over 40,000 health and 2,000% melee?
I know, my server settings make all my creatures extremely op...

Should be able to. Shadowmanes are generally close to rexes so that should be more than enough but if your solo and you die then all the shadowmanes die anyway. So if yo are riding a sahadowmane to buff the shadowmanes amke sure to have good armor and 700+ hp so you do not get 1 shot off of the shadowmane.
I won the gamma & Beta Fenrir with Shadowmanes with half of your stats. So long as you dont take aggro from boss (due low drag weight of shadowmanes) & thus die, the boss will be beaten easily with your army. Make sure to take a Theri/Rex with the shadows to draw Boss's aggro to army & not you.
@@Arindam_Gaming Yeah the best method I found was to just send my shadowmanes in and me and my friend would just ride around the arena on andrews and just kill the fenrir minions with our the andrew saddle gun our first time around we were on the shadowmanes and got one shot by his beam attack xD. Anyway using my method we did alpha in around 3 min
It insta kills with the phantom wolf everytime even if your on a Rex or Yut and have over 2000+ armor. One hit from the phantom wolf and death. Its too much and cheap feeling.
I think it does 4 or 500 damage. I survive it with 800 hit points. I think it ignores armor but ya it is a little much and needs to be toned down.

you get a level 150 fenrir for gamma, not sure what level you get for beta, and 225 for alpha but tamed Fenrir are a joke compared to the boss because they don't get the ice breath and you can't breed them so what's the point unfortunately.

I beat the beta solo with 19 shadowmanes 20k 800%... lost 3 shadows but all of the others were almost dead. I'm freaking afraid of trying alpha
The jump between beta to alpha is huge does not feel like proper progression. It is like where are the 2 boss levels between beta and alpha?

Official pvp. I was 1 shotted off of a Yuty. Easily won with Yuty, 2 Andy's and rex's. 8 others just ran on foot way back and we won easily.

Best advice for getting good Rexes just search your clusters looking for admins who are breeding them then sneak up and take a few can get capped melee or health Rexes no problem

I tested the Fenrir wolfs and since you can not breed or improve them even once leveled all the way up they do not stand a chance they die in moments of the fight starting. They are not immune to any of the ice attacks.

Also, if you read this, I need some help. We have 662 level shadowmanes, 50k hp and 1660 melee without any stats leveled up, so realistically somewhere around 75k hp 2000 melee. There would be 3 of us. Our initial tactic would have been that one of us is riding a male shadow, one is riding a yuty and one is riding a daeodon. Do you think we should switch the daeodon out for a shadow instead? Should the guy riding the shadow just.. not? If he shouldn't ride the shadow, what do you recommend instead? Do we even stand a chance lol?
Melee has a diminishing return on most dinos after 600 so I would not bother leveling melee any higher for this fight instead focus on hp since there is a good chance you will lose the shadowmane buff. Your shadowmanes should be more than enough for this fight but the player buffing the shadowmanes is likely to get ripped off at some point and if he dies that's that for the buff. Rexes are best for this fight. Just restat to 8-900 hp enough weight to move with your gear and the rest in movement speed. that should allow you to survive Fenrirs yoink long enough to get back on any mount jsut get on one and get out. Makes sure to have wichever dino your riding on ignore group whistles have it on follow that way when you have to bail it will follow and you can switch back to the right dino.
Worst case is 2 of you die last guy just runs off and lets the shadowmanes take their chances.
Stat wise you should be fine my big worry would be Fenrir killing you off your tames.

Currently it looks like reapers are not allowed on the map so I was unable to test if they can go into the fight or not.
People on offical ready have 225 fenrirs
The map has been out 3 weeks and official tribes lock a map down to themselves on day 1 and with the breeding event if they pushed hard they probably have decent boss fighters already.
You get fenrir from all levels of the fight as well could just be leveled up fenrirs.
There is also mention of an exploit to kill the boss with so possibly that.

I just found out that you can’t use GIGAS on the island bossses and Fenrir so rip to my giga breeding 😂
Ya gigas would tear through bosses so they dont let them in. There have been ways in the past to get a gigia in they may have been patched but even just getting 1 giga in destroyed the bosses super fast.
Gigas are strong in pvp if you have been mutating their melee stat. For Pve they are one of the best hide and meat gatherers though you dont need to go beyond 400 melee for that since its capped.

When you get people in Ark that are cool to game with they end up quitting ark leaving you solo again. ITs the eb and flow of ark. None of my friends that I hang with in person will play Ark so I feel you.

It is a server set to be exactly the same as official. No one has dinos able to beat Fenrir in the first week of the new map.
On official servers rexes have so much melee Fenrir is a joke.
