    I got my soyo rx 5700 xt on sale for £100 on ali express. Best deal I've ever found or gotten. It's never had any issues and performs as any rx 5700 xt should. Great video.

      Thanks for the comment! I keep eying the white Soyo 6600M with RGB for an all white build. Basically the Frosty Aliexpress build I did on my channel, but AM4 instead of x99 and the 6600m.

    • @JordosTechShack
      @JordosTechShack  4 месяца назад +1

      I've been running the full adrenaline driver on it without issues, auto up updates on. My windows server has a Radeon RX card in it, but I use it for Plex transcoding so it runs the pro drivers, and just the Windows update ones, which are a couple versions behind but most validated for a server running 27/7.

    Yeah I bought an used Powercolor RX 5700... The GPU died after 4 months of use! No wonder they're refurbishing the thing and slapping modded BIOS... The card runs HOT! And the cooling system is somewhat bad. Mainly the fans, they're too thin. That probably makes the solder joints of the chip go bye-bye... Hence the reballing. Which is EXACTLY what you talked about... The original cards must be dropping like flies so this a HUGE recycling scheme that they're doing. 14 days is NOTHING man... Give it a few months and we'll see. And yeah, up until NOW the GPU's didn't fail but.... I think we're going to see that happening more and more actually. These things run hot and the coolers barely handle them.
    I didn't even do a OC on the card... I would advise you not to do it also! Anyways... Thanks for the video. If you disagree or your experience is different please let me know... The thing is fascinating to me actually. Best regards

    • @JordosTechShack
      @JordosTechShack  3 месяца назад +1

      Some of the 1st line of 5700XTS, especially the blower cards had terrible thermals. The later OC models from Asus and MSI were good. I have the power limit put back up on my card and it's fine. , but my die was from an ASUS and as I mentioned in the video it depends on your particular card and temps. The front case fans on my workstation were from an AIO originally so they move a lot of air through my case. The SOYO cooler is thick and does much better than some of the official cards that came out first. You also bought your card used so something on the PCB probably failed from age and heat. whereas all those components on the SOYO cards are brand new. Only the GPU core itself is used in these rebuilds. It's still in my main workstation with a Ryzen 5800X3D. I will run it till it dies or I actually need an upgrade.

      Even streaming the Radeon would be fine. I think AMDs encoder gets more hate than it deserves. When rendering a video the 5700XT on par with the CPU render of the 5800x3D as far as render time, and absolutely crushed the V2 and V4 Xeons I used previously.

      As far as AliExpress goes. Check the sellers store rating first. Oftentimes pop up sellers will list popular items at a much lower price as a scam. I also try to avoid cases and power supplies, not just because of sketch power supplies, but because those items I can get cheaper in the US already. My most recent build video had a bunch of issues with the items the customer ordered from AliExpress. One of the things to look out for is how they lost the items specs. Oftentimes the title will make you think your getting a better deal than you are until you add it to cart. For instance you might think your getting an RX5700XT for a good deal, but the base price is an RX5500XT, with the 5600 and 5700 as a drop down menu for a different price.
      Shipping for me too seems to be pretty fast considering it's China to the USA. The TechShack is in upstate NY, and most of the stuff comes in Air from NYC airport into customs. So once it clears customs it only takes 1-2 days to go from NYC to upstate NY.
      This could probably be a video, how I choose who to order from and what to avoid....

    I bought the same card in January for my first build, but unfortunately when i finished with the assembly, i was left disappointed by the fact that there's no signal on my monitor! ..everything seems to be running well (PSU, all the fans incl. the rgb one on my cooler and the 2 fans on the GPU) ..any suggestions?

    • @JordosTechShack
      @JordosTechShack  3 месяца назад +1

      That could be allot of things. Could be RAM not seated. It will still power on and not post if you forgot the CPU 4/8pin power. We had a PC UPS destroyed shipping, and even with a destroyed CPU socket it tried to power on and the RGB worked. Do you have a debug light? Some motherboards will have CPU, RAM, and VGA light and will show you what its stuck on. Also does num lock or caps lock come on if you push it?

      2. Didn't forget the 8-pin!
      3. Don't have debug lights, but it does beep ..it's one of those xeon motherboard kits ..it beeps 5 times which indicates a problem with the GPU according to the seller!
      As for the last question, i can't answer as i've sent the PC for repair!

      @@iam_nobody oh well if your getting a beep code it's failing to post. So you probably got a dud. I've gotten a new XFX card from Best buy that was dead out of the box, just returning that is pretty easy.! Hopefully you get it up and running.

      I'm considering buying a brand new ASUS RX6750 GRE 12GB (basically a RX6750XT but cheaper and exclusive to the chinese market) ..with the anniversary sale going on until March 27th on Ali, using coupons i can get it for around $320 (shipping incl.) which i think is a very good deal! 😁

      That's tough call. 5700XT has a little more horsepower but the 6600XT supports mesh shaders and since it's a generation newer will have longer driver support and more power efficienct.

    What bothers me is Soyo was a company from the 80s and 90s that went out of business in 2009. Now, this company is calling itself Soyo and happens to have the exact same logo. Sounds fishy to me unless someone can explain the connection.
    It would surprise me if these cards are actually what they claim to be. All they have to do is program the chip to tell software to report the card as whatever they want. If you got a new RX 5700XT for much less than $200 USD, I'm going to say it's fake.

      Then you obviously didn't watch the video. I did a deep dive into the gpus how they're salvaged from used GPU dies salvaged from name brand cards with bad PCBs. I've bought dozens of cards not one or two. They are all new PCBs and coolers but used salvaged GPU dies. Also, as far as them not being official Soyo as I said in this video and the other one, I actually did my research into that as well. SOYO went out of business everywhere in the world except for China. Even on the Wikipedia page it shows that Soyo was still a China only brand and when they went under in the United States they moved all their manufacturing equipment to Shenzhen China. That's public information. Every point you have here was not only covered in my video, but actually all my main points. You obviously didn't watch but still commented.
