Is SOYO a known brand in the Chinese/Asian markets?
Soyo WAS a known brander internationally. Their European and North American Divisions went bankrupt in the earl 2000s, moved their PC division to China and they continued on as an Asia only brand ever since.
Solid build
Just a question ? about 'etertiny later' How much time did you wait i have done the same build but the pc dosen't boot up everything is working
1st boot took a minute. Had to train the hardware. I did have issues with posting with the final build. The GPU has an issue and won't put out video till the driver loads in windows. The test GPU I used in this video worked fine (Radeon 260x). The last 5 months it's run fine other than this RX 560 XT not initializing the monitor output until Windows loads. My test graphics card didn't do that, so I'm assuming it's a GPU issue or a motherboard and GPU compatibility glitch. Could be the BIOs has weird issues with some gpus so I could suggest trying a different legacy graphics card and see if you get monitor output. If it is a graphics card compatibility issue, If you pre-install Windows with a legacy card and then install your new card, it'll work fine once Windows boots. Again The RX 560 XT in here is a China brand SOYO card, and China Brand Machinist motherboard. So which one is causing the compatibility issue until Windows loads? I don't know for sure.
@@JordosTechShack Thanks you so much sir.
People aren't butting the pieces up to fit them together which I bet accounts for like 60% of the complaints. I would know because I also tried to slide them together
good bye clearos
Is it still working?
@@nimeshs6199 yes mine is still working fine. I just did an updated video on one that came back in defective 14+ months later, but that was only one out of 13. The other 12 I've sold, including the one in my rig, are still working fine.
@JordosTechShack thank you for the reply
does this mother board suport windows 11 or do you need to install a tpm chip on it
no it does not, found out the hard way. this mobo has tmp 2.0 and secure boot but does not support UEFI bios which is required. i did how ever get windows 11 installed but using another computer to install windows 11 on it and when it got to the part to set up windows 11 i turned the computer off moved the ssd to this computer and turned it on and it let me finish setting up the computer. i did this just today so i dont know how well it will run or if there will be any issues. but that is how i got around it.
This is just perfect for me, I have a soyo rx 5700 xt. I've been having one issue with it, I try to loadnin Star Wars Battlefront 2, game crashes on me and black screen on my both monitors, GPU drivers get corrupted and pc shuts off, I power it on andninly 1 monitor works, drivers are corrupted and I need to uninstall all my Gpu drivers and reinstall it. I found a way to go around that crash, was to force shut off my pc and it would not corrupt my drivers but its annoying. Had to uninstall Battlefront 2.
I need to buy a wifi card for me to enable wifi?
This is the first one to have issues, and it was 16 months later. I have ordered 13x 5700XT's, and over 23 Soyo Cards counting the 5700XT, 5500XT, 580, 560XT, and 6600m models.
Hi, I was just wondering, is the bios upgradeable and if so, what is the website for support?
Their official page says to reach out to their AliExpress store for the bios,. I did that but they never replied to my emails.
Total sadness... appreciate your video🥲
Hi, nice video! Can you upload the bios dump of your MR9A-PRO to your website ( jordosjank jcmptech )? Thank you! :)
how did you turn on the rgb on those fans? The mobo does not have any rgb connetors.
@@qwerty32185 it's not software controlled by the motherboard. The case came with fans and an RGB fan controller. It's pretty common with the cheaper fans use their own proprietary connector and RGB controller. They have a motherboard pass-through if you want to use your mobos 3/4 pin connects and software to control it. Even more expensive fans like corsair's iCue fans use their own proprietary connectors and a RGB controller that plugs into the USB header. The addressable and programmable RGB stuff actually started with the case and accessory manufacturers doing their own thing before the motherboard manufacturers started adopting 5 volt 3-pin and 12 volt 4-pin standard connectors.
Is it dual channel supported?
Yes
Does it support resize bar?
Yes
I just got the same thing and I love it too
Ah, man...I'm just finding this out. This sucks. I chose ClearOS because it was pretty easy to get running and it was linux based so driver support was better than PFSense (based on FreeBSD).
sad year ..have using clearos about 15 years working with sophos and opnsense. but so far like sophos
That case is diabolical lmao probably the worst I’ve ever seen. Good video man
I bought the ELSA 5700xt to test last year from aliexpress for $130 shipped. I was shocked how well it performed and it only uses 140 watts at max.
i dont understand , why does NVIDIA not have the drivers for the GPU ??? how is it not their responsibility to give drivers?? am i missing something?
I go over it in the second video. NVIDIA requires mining and certain soldered mobile gpus to be driver signed and verified by the board partner. If a board partner abandons or otherwise obsoletes the product then no new drivers come out. I had a similar issue with Sony laptops and their soldered gpus. I created a similar driver for those laptops that spoofed the driver signature so that windows thought it was a module mobile GPU and not a soldered one, and would allow you to install and update the newest Nvidia driver. This is also why if you buy one of those sketchy AliExpress mobile gpus repurposed as a desktop GPU you need hacked drivers to get them to work properly. It's strictly an Nvidia artificial firmware limitation. You can get Radeon 6600m repurposed as a desktop card and they don't require any of the driver hackery Nvidia salvaged cards do.
@@JordosTechShack so you buy a NVIDIA card and NVIDIA gets to decide what you use it for ?? weird also, its impressive how you could write drivers and stuff by yourself... where do you even learn that kind of stuff?
I had a client who had a ton of Sony laptops. Sony stopped updating the GPU driver for it and they used it for CAD and needed the newest driver so I learned how to spoof firmware and driver signing. I use existing patches and exploits made by people who know more than me (I link the projects on my site and in the description). They all refuse to host prepatched drivers, because of Nvidia and proprietary software so the host the exploits and patches separate and you have patch and test the driver yourself. I am not worried about Nvidia sueing me so I took the extra steps of pre-patching and hosting a completed driver. I have more info on everything and benchmarks gaming here" ruclips.net/video/zc3MxLBNxv0/видео.htmlsi=EErc5VaOvbiaabrh
@@JordosTechShack its just so interesting to me, how there is this whole world of firmware, exploits etc.. and i never even imagined that Nvidia will be doing stuff like this, like limiting the usage of GPUs ( in my opinion it is wrong , there might be more angles to it, but i am not aware of them yet ).... and the fact that people can write drivers, that's just magic to me to be honest. I come from coding exclusively in high level languages, so maybe that's why i have this perspective. I will definitely have to check the projects you link... any other resources you can remember that helped you learn all this? also, what a mad thing to say, that you are not worried about Nvidia suing you.
My advice is it works on p106 and 99% will work on p102. You don’t have to connect via remote desktop, but while playing in the task manager, just disable\delete the AMD driver so that the driver for AMD becomes something like “basic microsoft graphic driver” and everything will work on p102
I was only doing it for benchmarks and the video. I am running windows server 2022 on bare metal. so it's headless most of time, and things like AI, CUDA workloads, and NVEC encoding can't use the Radeon card so it's not a problem.
ClearOS Dead. Unfortunately the project is completely dead, all their mirrors and sites are no longer available. It's very sad to hear.

what form factor is it? mATX or ATX?
matx, actually a half a slot smaller than spec Matx
There is an awesome modding tools for Polaris Bios called Red Bios Editor that can greatly increase efficiency, i had a chinese 580 2048sp (basically a 570) where the standard vbios clearly gave too much voltage.
as a computer builder, i can't agree more on watercooling, it's a gimmick for visual and at best useful for shipping safety, but the risks are too high in return, i try to force every customer not to get it
did you run windows 10 or 11 ? im having usb issues on windows 11 with this motherboard when trying to use a capture card on it it just disconnects , windows 10 seems to run ok , minus not recognizing my ps5 controller
any chance of getting picture out the hidden hdmi port in asus p106-100?
The case is quite good for its size, can be had with metal side panels and the listings I've found are quite clear as to what they will or won't send you. Just buy a local PSU you trust.
Mine wont even turn on, confused
Yh same have you fixed and how?
I have the exact card. GPUZ shows PCIe x4 1.1 ??? Would that be enough for gaming? Linus Tech Tips and one of his techs got one to function at PCIe x16 1.1! You should check out the video: ruclips.net/video/TY4s35uULg4/видео.html Edit to add: What bios version do you have? I really need to know.
I did a full updated video on gaming the bandwidth limitations, my driver, etc: ruclips.net/video/zc3MxLBNxv0/видео.html
Th case is $52 on AliExpress right with a pcie 4.0 cable have worked in these type of cases before I’d say that’s fair.
@@shadow19121 this video is a year old at this point. The case was $152 when Jeffy ordered it.

Where is UMA Buffer Size in bios on this motherboard? Need to extend igpu vram.
So does the motherboard need drivers updates ?
@@TysonIsTyson_ It's a standard B450 chipset so you update them through AMDs website. On the Machinist section of my downloads site I have direct links to everything. I plan on expanding and hosting bios files for these motherboards as well. JordosJank.Jcmptech.us
Hi! I'm stucked with 2667mhz even though my ram frequency is 3200mhz, processor is ryzen 3 3200g, may I know if there's any way to change the ram frequency using xmp?
So I have this card and adding capacitors to the pci lanes does nothing, maybe there's no physical connectors in GPU or it's bios blocked, in GMP series adding caps unlocks pci x16, in p102/p104 unfortunately it does nothing 😅
It's either bios-locked or some die stuff going on, because people tried to transplant these chips to full 1080ti boards and it only worked with their original bios and had 4 lanes...
@Drak_Thedp so there's a chance it's bios blocked, if that card could go x8 at least it would be monster for the money(25$)
Download the hacked Driver, as well as bios dumps from SOYO and Machinist here: jordosjank.jcmptech.us/
You have a link for the driver without the NVEC option but apparently it is not working or uploaded (yet?). I have seen some crashes since I installed the driver and suspect that at least one of my P102-100 cards doesn't have NVEC capabilities. I don't know if there is a way to check the cards but based on your information that may be the cause of the crashes. BTW - this was exactly what I was looking for. The main reason being that the "nvcleaninstall" driver generator using the consumer nvidia drivers only supports TCC mode which works great for CUDA under windows (running Ollama or other compute applications) but for virtualization passthrough using Docker/WSL2 WDDM mode is required. Some posts suggests that the ability to switch these cards has been disabled at some point by nvidia and now requires their vGPU drivers. Thanks for your work saving me the effort to try and apply the dartraiden patch myself🙂
I am going to buy it..thx for your video
Is this still available on AliExpress? It's not showing up for me
@@Titax69 I will tell you if I found
I’ve just ordered one of these as my 1050ti has packed in, I’m a bit wary of switching to amd but it’s considerably cheaper than a 3060 12gb which isn’t much better
I've been running it about a year. Gaming on 2x1440p umtrawides, and it's rendered the last 32 videos and 9 live streams on my channel. I use its encoder for all the screen capture. One of my customers (Jeffy) bought one for his secondary PC and was very happy with the switch from Nvidia. In fact when another customer came in to have me upgrade him from a 6850XT to a 7900 XTX. Jeffy bought his 6850XT to upgrade a failing 3060 12GB in the main rig. He's all AMD now and regrets nothing. AMD will never take the bleeding edge crown for graphics cards, but dominated the budget and price to performance mid tier.
@ glad to hear it’s good, I physically couldn’t find any NVIDIA graphics card worth buying around £120-140 that could compete with this card
Will ryzen 5 1400 work?
Yes
I bought one of these, it works but I get 100% fan speed even at idle. Adrenaline / afterburner curve tweaks dont work and all monitors show 0RPM , anyone have a fix for this?
None of the ones I bought do that, every card ive ordered works fine in afterburner for fan curves.
I had similar issues, use an older version of adrenaline software/drivers. The latest updates tends to mess up things
I have never recieved a good card from them.
Pcie x4 1.1
I see that. Linus Tech Tips and one of his techs got one to function at PCIe x16 1.1
@@freedomination2 i've done this but it's not really worth it because you only gain about 3-5% boost . If you want to do it you need only resolder the filter caps that are obviously missing from the pcb. if you look on the back of the card just above the pci-e connector you can see them looking like this : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : . If you can solder well it's not that hard but again it isn't worth the time effort or cost just buy a better card for 20-50 bucks more.
