I love how you are able to bring depth to your butterflies. It's a blank stamp but by using the glittery paints it makes for shimmery types of butterflies. Thank you for showing me how to bring more life to my stamping. Great looking work. I'll go check out those paper butterflies now. Thanks Ceri.
This was a lovely make Ceri!, Thank you for showing how to work both with wet strength tissue and ordinary (and more fragile) gift tissue…so helpful. Every blessing!
I love the butterflies. I like dragonflies also. I really want to make some. Thanks for the video. I'll drag out my supplies tomorrow and give it a try.
Thank you for showing me that I can use regular tissue paper! Whew thank God, I dnt have the money YET for wet strength tissue ( I was just on Amazon today looking at it. I'll be getting it soon). But I have tons of the regular stuff. This video was absolutely perfect timing!! Today will be my first time using my gel plate, I cnt wait now! I dnt often comment but I watch your channel all the time. Thank you so much for all you contribute ❤️
Just LOVE you sense of humor 🤣🤣 thank you for the inspiration, and the good laugh. Here in Sweden we woke up with another foot of snow so all laugh is needed ❤️🙏🏼
🦋🦋🦋 What a great technique! I neither have butterflies nor metallic acrylic colors. But I have birds and pastell acrylics. I will certainly try this technique. 🙋🏼♀️
Good evening dear Ceri, beautiful butterflies, love the shimmer of colour. Gorgeous creations. Thanks so much for sharing, have a blessed night. Big hugs 💙🙏
Ceri, these are sooooo neat! I really like how they turned out. You always have such a good eye for laying things out so artistically! Thank you for sharing. ❤
What a fabulous tutorial Ceri! I have picked up so many hints, tips and reasons why in the last 40 mins than I have in a long time! Thank you so much! ❤
Ceri, you have proven you are a genius, they turned out beautifully. I do not have courage to try these. Thank you for sharing, enjoy your day, stay warm.
Just finished watching Ceri and they are super beautiful. I liked that you showed both papers and how to deal with each one for gluing and applying the types of paint to get the best results. Thank you.
This is such a wonderful technique! I want to try some using clear stamps that I have dies for. And I do think I’ve seen you use the plastic wrap for smoothing things out before, but what a great idea to also use it to remove excess glue stick! Terrific video!
Ceri, you have given me so many little sayings I say to myself while I’m crafting now. I got a new one today. I love it! Your butterflies are beautiful ❤ P.s. I cannibalize my stamps now too😊
If you search "Carnival Wet Strength Tissue Paper" on the internet or, Amazon or Ebay it will bring up sellers that are in your own country, I only have a link for the main UK supplier.
@ Oh, that’s good to know! Once I start it’s hard to stop. I see every bit of schmoots and grunge left on the plate as an insistent compulsion toward the next pull. And if I get a clean pull, it’s a clean slate that sparks my imagination in multiple directions. And on and on I go. 😃
so pretty i love butterflies x if i was doing them i would of used modpodge because i like modpodge, theres no right or wrong answer, just curious why you prefer matt gel medium as i have never used it before,is it just a personal preference thing?
Helen, I do use Mod Podge to seal journal covers etc however in my country the Matt Gel medium is considerably cheaper and just as effective in my opinion.
@@CeriGriffiths thanks for taking time in replying xx im uk too ive never really looked into matt gel,if you have any recommendations on brand id be happy to hear themx
Ceri, approximately what size is the blob of paint you put down in the very beginning of this video? It looks to me like it might be about 1/4 inch, but it’s hard to tell. Thank you.
These butterflies are beyond gorgeous!🦋🦋
So lovely and I great tips and clear instructions dear. I don't have a butterfly stamp but will try to make some with my chickens lol. HUGS xxx

This is incredible, its not something ive seen before. Thank you for sharing. Please could you add a link to the strong tissue paper please.
If you search "Carnival Wet Strength Tissue Paper" on the internet or, Amazon or Ebay it will bring up sellers that are in your own country, I only have a link for the main UK supplier.
Love these. Going to try using some of my gel print backgrounds as bases. I went a bit nuts with my new gel plate and I need to use some of them up.
You didn’t go crazy that’s what generally happens, it’s not unusual for me to make fifty prints in a session when I’m having fun and sometimes more,
@ Oh, that’s good to know! Once I start it’s hard to stop. I see every bit of schmoots and grunge left on the plate as an insistent compulsion toward the next pull. And if I get a clean pull, it’s a clean slate that sparks my imagination in multiple directions. And on and on I go. 😃
"If I was to stand here fussy cutting all of these, I would probably lose the will to live." 😆 I literally laughed out loud at this.
Viewing from the caribbean lovely ceri
I love these ♥♥♥ I'm gonna try this technique. Can you do this technique with napkins too?
Possibly but you’d have to be careful.
I laughed out loud at “the will to live”!

Connie I’d say that was about right, I just go by instinct.
Just for your info - Amazon is now selling Carnival Tissue Paper.
Wonderful, thank you
Einstein's got nothing on you sweet genius Ceri.
Thank you, I’m now blushing.
@CeriGriffiths Calling it as I see it, Ceri!🤎 Bless you my dear friend.
Great tutorial ,:difficult to create while teaching…I too don’t like fussy cutting. Avoid as much as I can. ❤
We are expecting snow in Madison, Alabama. YUCK!
Chris on John's tablet,,, fabulous cx
Sorry I’m confused by this comment……….or do you mean you are Chris using a tablet belonging to John?
