Thanks for another great lesson Shane !. Seems like walk ups and walk downs are everywhere and I can’t get enough practice incorporating them in a variety of ways . They make a huge difference in a song . Always very happy to see that you’ve posted a new song for us ! Thanks again
Hey - thanks David - hugely encouraging. It's great you're adding detail to songs....it's a never ending process and keeps everything fresh....and challenging in a very good way. My best to you, Shane
Hey thank you Steve - I'm always happy to read your comments as you have been so encouraging for so long here. Happy New Year to you and yours and let's kick guitar butt in 2025. Cheers, Shane
Love your videos! I’ve learned so much from you. Thank you! I appreciate your clear explanation of the walk ups and walk downs and your help counting the bests. Again, many thanks, and I look forward to your next video.
Thank you Ruth - so glad to have you here with us. It really helps me to read a comment like yours to know what people benefit from the most. Thank you and let's kick guitar butt in 2025! Shane
Real nice choice, I’ve always loved this song(which came out 9 yrs after I was born😳) and it will be going in the rotation of songs I’m learning for this summers campfires. The walkups and walkdowns really add to the song too. I’m trying to add these and/or other embellishments to a few songs and I feel that little things like these are really helping my overall guitar playing. Hope you’re doing well, winter hasn’t been too bad and all, thanks again for these and take care Shane.
Hey Wally - that's super - I love that you're adding detail to songs you've been playing. It's an endless process and is highly rewarding as each song stays fresh and fun. My best to you lad - best in 2025. Shane
Perfect timing with the walk up and walk down lessons. I was strumming chords last night, but didn't know how to add a simple fill. Now I have a new tool in my guitar playing! I also want to see the video of whatever you're doing with the bigfoot mask on the guitar cases. Those have to be some fun videos!
OMG - I didn't realize you can see the Bigfoot mask......I sat editing this video all afternoon today and never noticed it. That's hilarious! There is a story behind it for sure.....not really one that I'm super proud of though 😀 Very glad you like the walks - Thank you for being here and taking the time to comment - you really made me laugh with the monkey mask thing - Cheers! Shane
Well rats...lol.. I already know this one. 😆 I like to play it with barre cords though, well, other than the bridge. To me it sounds better but I'm not an expert by any means! I would still love to see your take on "Can't Find My Way Home" by Blind Faith/Steve Winwood. 😁 Thanks Shane. You have helped me learn a lot of songs I grew up listening to and improve my playing quite a bit over the past few years.
Hey thank you Roger - I've never liked the use of barre chords in this song. Especially when people do the walk down from C to A - with barre chords I always think they sound too parallel and stuffy - feels like I've been pepper spayed. Glad you've been enjoying - my best to you and I appreciate you being here and taking the time to comment. Cheers! Shane
Thanks Ross - several people over the years have mentioned that to me. No dings yet.....it's a tight room with cameras etc. My best to you and glad to have you here with us, Shane

Way to break the song down to make it so manageable to learn. Way to go Shane.
Hey thank you Johnny - always happy to hear from you lad. My best to you and K! Shane
I grew up with that song, Otis Redding was from Macon Georgia and I was in a town nearby. The tempo seems a wee bit fast, maybe it’s just me.
Terrific lesson as always Shane! Happy New Year! 👍👍🎸🎸

Thanks Ross - several people over the years have mentioned that to me. No dings yet.....it's a tight room with cameras etc. My best to you and glad to have you here with us, Shane
It would be a shame to ding that beautiful Taylor. He has the big and more expensive brother to mine.
Yous Make it way too EASY.
