An update on Louisiana was once home to a national Leprosarium in Carville, where patients with leprosy were sent to live and receive treatment. In operation from 1895-2005, a museum remains today that chronicles the medical miracles and bittersweet memories of life at Carville. In this segment, LPB’s Karen LeBlanc takes us on a tour of the newly renovated Hansen’s Disease Museum.
