It’s amazing how that knife grows on you once you have it in hand; I love mine, can literally just pul back on the axis lock with the knife near horizontal and it will deploy all the way out, amazing. Thanks for the video
I've had mine for about 6 months and I love it. One nice thing about having such a relatively narrow blade is that if you're cutting a material that sticks to flats, this blade profile really doesn't bind up. I carried it more in the summer (it's a great shorts knife!) and sometimes when I get a bit more dressed up.
I picked one up just to add something different to the collection and I love it. It's so slim it really disappears in the pocket, like carrying a large pen. I noticed it has a unique looped omega spring to fit the small handles.
I own a black coated one. Love it. They have a new auto/assisted one that just came out recently that is really, really nice that I will own here soon but it’s twice the price but looks justifiable. This knife is definitely self-defense driven. It’s best use is as a de-escalator. If someone is threatening to cause harm to you in a public place and you flick that blade out they’ll think twice about going to blows.
That is called felonious assault in many jurisdictions. Do not brandish knives to deescalate. Like a gun, only bring them out if the only other option is death or grievous injury.
I have one and I like it a lot. I got it several months ago and it has been my primary edc. I like it's small profile. It fits into pockets so easily. I consider this a great city knife. You are not going to do bushcraft with this thing. But you will open things. Use the tip as an awl, and do precision cuts on paper (which I do a lot in my art). Good at spliting wires too. One thing that the video also mentions it does look aggressive when you pull it out to do a task. I really, really like the fine tip and it is useful and unique and helps with a lot of precison tasks. I was considering the 391BK but it is a bit big for an urban environment. I still was going to get it. It did raise in price so it is over $200 now. I can't justify >200 for D2 steel.
Most of my knives are light for size, narrow, good blade/handle ratio for ease of carry. I don’t do heavy cutting in the city and don’t think of a knife for self defense. But, I like spear point blades, aluminum etc. I’m not into BM’s anymore but this and the M4 Freek had my interest. You hit the nail on the head. The knife isn’t for everyone, there’s better EDC’s but it’s made very well and carries well for a 3.9” blade.
I hadn’t had a Benchmade since I left the Army. I recently purchased the “Fact” and I must say that I’m impressed with this knife and wonder why I took so long to replace my old blade.
Looks like an updated, streamlined Benchmade 875 from years ago. That was my carry knife for a while. Now sits in the ready drawer and gets out every so often.
This is like the only knife I have that's like a gentleman folder tactical knife it's a lot of duty tactical knife I love it I never even considered it until I walked into House Of Blades in Fort Worth and handled it in person and I fell in love with it!
Looking at this with black blade as have the SOCP Benchmade folder which handle is a little too long to close. The FACT is a little shorter so shouldn't have that problem and also has benefit of thumb stud where SOCP has a disc which isn't as easy to open.
I have both and had to play around with the clip position on the SOCP. Ended up using the longer clip, blade up to give me the best access to the axis lock. Because of the length of the handle I just use the clip side of the axis lock to close it. But I agree, the fact is a lot easier to manipulate. Both came perfectly centered, zero blade play, and the action on both has been smoothing out the longer I've had them.
I’m torn between buying this version and the new full auto 4170BK. But the manual has a certain appeal and it’s half the price of the auto. It’s BM’s modern interpretation of an Italian stiletto knife and I think it’s almost completely overlooked in their line. Highly underrated. I love most of the axis lock models and I really should have bought one of these years ago.
I considered the fact as I love spearpoints, but instead got a 391 socp which I absolutely love. The fact is just a little skinny for my tastes. The quality control on my 391 is excellent, perhaps benchmade has upped their game.
That’s a nice blade to compare with the ZT0707. That also was something I wasn’t particularly expecting to enjoy but once in hand I fell in love. Great video as always, MC
This is definitely a scary knife and that’s what I love about it. It’s satisfying and smooth, very very sexy knife. It’s just more suited at a weapon. I carry my 940 along with a combat knife for my edc
I’m just finding out about this knife. I know it says tactical, I think it would be awesome for food. Who doesn’t want to carry one of these in their lunch box and have it on hand for cutting into a left over steak while on the job.
I realy like this one, i have got the shotshow edition from 2018? It has gray twill g10 scales and a gun metal gray dlc coating, you can get them razor sharp whitout getting a to idiot bevel. One thing to note, they have different omega springs that i suspect dont break easy ( mine haven't)
Bought this one along with the QSP Penguin after watching your Reviews! I just subbed. Have a feeling it's going to hurt my wallet🤣 Thank you Metal Complex!
I managed to handle one in a store the first time they came out. Kicking myself for not getting that first production run and adding to 3 other first production models I already have . What I always remember is that that long blade just flies out of the handle with a flick of the thumbstud which is so well placed. Very fun to deploy.
I cry a little everytime I see a knife like this, I could buy it where I live, but it'd just collect dust as I wouldn't be allowed to carry it. Knife laws are a joke man, but those are the last of my concerns when it comes to the authoritarian rule here.
I’m not positive, but I thought that the color referred to the quality of the knife- like Black was their really high-end stuff, and Blue, while still really good, was a little less in quality, and so wasn’t as expensive.

I have the all blacked put one and it's my favorite knife ever. The best edc and self defense folding knife out there.
New to this channel. OMG the variety of blades is insane. So much content here for research. Overwhelming lol.

This knife is what Nick Shabbazz would call “murdery.”

Ever since I saw Talon Sei's review I've wanted this knife. It's a folding pig sticker or a gent carry folding prison shank 😂. Very cool
I could this being carried by John Wick
Just picked one of these up on copper & clad.

Blue Class-EDC
Black Class - Tactical
Gold Class- out of my price range
gold class - out of the the price range of any sane person
I’ve had my eye on this one for a few months now
Every time I look up a knife review, Metal Complex has reviewed it at some point in the past!
I hadn’t had a Benchmade since I left the Army. I recently purchased the “Fact” and I must say that I’m impressed with this knife and wonder why I took so long to replace my old blade.

I love these knives for self defense and to protect my gun if someone tries to grab it. It’ll go straight in them if need be. Give it a twist.
In a stab motion , you may get slide , where the blade kisses your hand .
This is like the only knife I have that's like a gentleman folder tactical knife it's a lot of duty tactical knife I love it I never even considered it until I walked into House Of Blades in Fort Worth and handled it in person and I fell in love with it!

Flytanium should make scales for this knife I would definitely buy one.
So would I
Been loving mine for a while now. G10 scales are available for those who may not like the aluminum. Great review, thanks!
Love mine. Only problem is you need to be careful opening the knife as your thumb may get bitten when the blade rotates into position.
How does it compare to the 940?
I’m torn between buying this version and the new full auto 4170BK. But the manual has a certain appeal and it’s half the price of the auto. Got the auto version about 1 1/2 years ago. Yeah, it's a bit pricey, but man, it'll make you fidget a bunch. One very smooth pig sticker!
@@tombeyer375by pigs do you mean cops
I considered the fact as I love spearpoints, but instead got a 391 socp which I absolutely love. The fact is just a little skinny for my tastes. The quality control on my 391 is excellent, perhaps benchmade has upped their game.
Man this is pure beauty of a knife. Look at the blade line dude and it's pretty long.

is the pocket clip back on the pm2?
Ooooooh! I've been dying to hear MC's thoughts on the FACT!

Just got one yesterday. My wife claimed it for her collection.
Roflmao. I love mine. My wife doesn’t get knives. Thank God!
Bought this one along with the QSP Penguin after watching your Reviews! I just subbed. Have a feeling it's going to hurt my wallet🤣 Thank you Metal Complex!
It's a sexier Ti-Lite
My nephew would want me to show him my scary knife and then complain about it not having Lasers! Lol. Great video.
no bogus. no rumors. just facts.
Wassup mc are you going to do a 2021 knife collection update
Really enjoy this knife. It gets high points for the cool factor. And that's the Fact, Jack. (Sorry, couldn't resist.)
I live nextdoor in Missouri and carry that knife everyday.
wish i could get this
They should have shortened it by half an inch and given it some nice Dymondwood scales; would have made a nice gentleman's knife.
If your nephew's cool he'd appreciate such a sick looking blade
Haha! Sketchy guy flipping a POG slammer.
I managed to handle one in a store the first time they came out. Kicking myself for not getting that first production run and adding to 3 other first production models I already have .

Spittin straight facts
You need to get your hands on a VERO IMPULSE OR SYNAPSE!!!
Its a FACT that this knife is pretty sweet... I'll walk myself out
Technically it's 3.95 inches so legal in many places
I thought all black class made as a robust, hard use knife....
I cry a little everytime I see a knife like this, I could buy it where I live, but it'd just collect dust as I wouldn't be allowed to carry it. Knife laws are a joke man, but those are the last of my concerns when it comes to the authoritarian rule here.

No. Blue is EDC type knives, Black is tactical, Gold is high end material on the knife
250$ on Amazon no thank you!!!😕
skinny boi
It’s a fact that the fact is overpriced
First
The FACT he describes knives as “tactical” reminds me why I don’t subscribe
Why are you here? 😆
Benchmade describes this knife as "tactical". It's right on the box.
Nice video. I love the Fact, but it definitely will only appeal to a specific audience, that really like the tactical look. ^w^
