Even Loz could do the crazy eyes back when he didn't have a beard. Jf however is a different breed of strongman to the guys nowadays. I reckon mvm classic will suit him to a tee.

      JF himself was wrong, because he explicitely stated at that time: 'I don't think I will come back from that' (was a bit heartbreaking to hear such a declaration). Well , I don't want to be a harbringer of bad luck, but life is life, maybe time will show that he was right then and is wrong now :/ What I wish him most is full health... it's more important than superhuman strength

    I was just thinking about how shitty it was that JF was done and here he is pulling a Zydrunas only 20 years older.
    I’m pumped. I wish the absolute best to JF and his recovery. Especially after he finally puts in a podium position at Worlds. Would love to see him Top 5 at least in 2024, God Willing.

    • @PhillipCalvin627
      @PhillipCalvin627 Год назад

      Addendum, having listened to the whole interview. I think I’ve been sleeping on Mitch Hooper especially given the more athletic direction of Worlds which I’m also thrilled about.
      My favorite year is 2000 which was probably the most athletic focused year. To me that was more in league with what David Webster wanted with that Donald Dinnie kind of format.
      I know I’m in a serious minority but I’m actually really tired of super heavy competitions. Don’t get me wrong, when Brian and Z started trading titles year after year, I loved that but I like to see things get shaken up.
      When JF was talking about a no heat format, it reminded me of 2004. Of course they probably went overboard that year. I think there was something crazy like 17 events. Everyone burnt out but the manic energy of Vasyl Virastyuk. Pavlo and Oleksii might be just prime examples of crazy Ukrainian determination. 🇺🇦
      Given the events I’m favoring Oleksii, and Brian but I wouldn’t be surprised to see Aivars or Mitch Hooper on the podium.
