It is only free if you have less that 150,000 miles on your car. Needless to say, I got the code at 193,000 miles, and they no longer will fix it for free after that. Just so everyone is aware. ;-)
What is the job of this sensor? My 2016 Malibu will sometimes not move after being at a light/stop sign. We’ve learned not to slam on the gas because when it eventually kicks in, it’ll quickly accelerate according to how far we are pressing gas pedal. Since it feels like gas pedal is stuck, we tend to put the “petal to the metal” which almost caused us to hit other cars a couple of times 😅 So now, we slowly step on gas until it kicks in, which is also dangerous, especially turning into uncoming traffic
my chevy malibu 2017 vacuum pump shattered, reduced engine power after fixing the pump. now the whole cars electrical system is acting weird. no codes are showing. articles are saying theres a faulty accelerator sensor making the car go in low engine power mode.

Are u responding to questions what you mean by peppy ?? Mine was repaired today at 76000 miles snd now it feels slightly shakey and won’t accelerate as she used too
peppy would be quick and responsive. check connections clear any codes. may want to clean throttle body as well, make sure have everything tight. good luck
My car was going into limp mode a few months go anytime I get into high speed 70 75mp it’ll drop in speed slowing down to 40mp I got my pedal sensor change twice and my check engine light was still I went to get diagnostics again they it was my Throttlebody pedal sensor do you think could be back wiring or does it need to be reset ?
Same thing with me, it's also really easy to replace the throttle body if cleaning doesn't work. I have a 2016 malibu 1.5 turbo. It's literally so simple to change the throttle body on it, it's took me like 2 minutes to take it out ans clean it. Best of luck my friends.
Would this sensor being bad cause my brakes to grind sometimes like they'll be perfect one minute and then when I hit the brake they'll grind like something's going to fall out the bottom of my car then it'll stop again in my brakes will be perfect like normal
no but had that problem also, what it was on this one was- there is a wire spring on the brakes that can pop off and bounce around in there, while not falling completely out,it rubbed occasionally making grating noise. when i replaced the brakes it happened cpl times, to fix i had to cut the groove where the springs sit just a lil deeper so it would stay in place. haven't heard a peep since. you should take a look to be safe.
Had same thing happen. First in forward motion. Cleaned abs sensor fixed. Later on happened in reverse. Cleaned the rears. Problem in reverse is now gone too. Noticed the holes in the tip of the sensors were clogged.
@@DrapeSMM my malibu did this after the vaccum pump shattered and car wont give a code or it gives a code saying everything has failed or faulty. GM is under lawsuit for a while for it i think.

its a electronic gas pedal. the contacts wear and bad connections result

check the battery this one was going squirrly electronically util replaced marginal battery w fresh one.

What code is it throwing?can clean your throttle body, its very easy and cheap to do yourself.
i also had a problem w power that was cured by removing leaves from my cold air return intake, at the bottom front, inlet under the bumper.
@@crashman1963 the code p2138 and I got throttle body cleaner just have to get it cleaned out for sure I’ll definitely check under the bumper

Would it keep a Chevy from starting ?
Won’t start. I drove it one day and it went from 45 to 25 mph and then shut off and won’t start up. Battery charged, has gas.
P0299 code came up along with p2229
you are having a different code, this one ran but in limp mode

not that light, that code was fixed. had to clean the throttle body as well for another code. which is on another video.
This has come on 3 times on my 2019 chevy Tahoe RST and $1000 each time it happens. When is a recall going to take place?
