Hi Kate. I am watching this in September 2023 from Redcliffe Queensland. Thank you. Looking forward to seeing you in the year to come. We did survive covid.
Catching up just now with this video, (Nov. 26th, 2023) from Florida, making straps for my new work bag, loving how we ladies are all keeping busy with our hands as we listen/watch and glean from you Kate. 2024 nears, praying you much health and success with the new year almost knocking! Blessings Kate ❤
Hello from California. It's May and I've just discovered your channel. We are suffering through a heat wave. Your cozy video is the antidote to still living through Covid Pandemic in 2022. Thank you very much. I subscribed. :)
Couldn’t love Kate or this channel more but I won’t watch any video where my time is wasted with “Hello Debra, so good to see you” and “Hello Kelly, how’s your mother?”
Well it’s July 2023 right now, 😂 but I just watched this very special live chat with you and all the fabulous gals on the lime green sofa 🛋 and it was truly wonderful. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Kate you are such an amazing kind and calm person, you truly inspire me every day. I know this live is 2yrs old, it was so enjoyable and I was even wishing you a Happy New Year 🥳🥂🍾 as if it was today. You are such a blessing and I dearly love my new friendship with you and all the lovelies on the lime green sofa. Thank You so much for doing a live, especially during such hard times…….with Covid as so many were in lock down……..having you to chat with, definitely put the CHEER back into NEW YEAR’S ❤ I was chain piecing whilst watching. 😊 Off to make a nice cuppa and grab some chocolate, then I’m going to look for your clip on Agnes’s dolly. ❤️ from Deb, Melbourne Australia 🇦🇺🐱🌻💐

I bought a new gown to wear for New Year’s Eve. It’s made from flannel and I can even sleep in it! I may get a strand of pearls to go with it! 😂 Lake Villa, IL. USA. Happy New Year all!!!!!!!
It's so cold here in Minnesota that the Easter dresses for little girls are totally inappropriate for the weather. I make Easter dresses for my granddaughter, and now my great-granddaughter, out of flannel and make a hat to go with it - a flannel "Easter bonnet." I make them with long sleeves so that they don't freeze in them.
@@susanmercurio1060 : that's great! :) I think the flannel theme is catching on, with the cold winter we're having. I made a long flannel nightgown, out of a set of men's pajamas!! ;) It looks like something out of the 'Adams Family' closet, because the colors are dark. :) But it feels wonderful and cozy!
Watched this on the Day. Happy New Year from Ontario. I love hexagons too. Watching you stitch makes me want to pull them out again. Thanks for inspiring me.
Chocolate and hand sewing..nothing better. Happy belated New Year. I am new to your channel. From Calif. I saw your elderberry syrup and flower tincture video. It was such fun as this is. It was by chance I found you and am happy I did. You are a breath of fresh air. Very sweet lady. 💐🎉🌼
When I think of 2020 I immediately think of all the kids walking with their parents. During complete lockdown we were advised by the govt to go out for a walk each day keeping well away from others, so people put bears and other animals in their windows for kids to spot, and there was a passing parade of fathers walking with their children for weeks, it was totally heartwarming. Many children would never have experienced that as a daily thing to do unless there was Covid. And for tough old kiwis to be talking about kindness as an important part of workplace behaviour, again never before. Happy New Year Kate.
Missed sharing New Years with you Kate. Watching Marvel movies with husband and stopped to video chat with our daughter and her husband in London UK . So we celebrated New Years in the UK with them including fireworks seen from their balcony! Happy New Year from 🇨🇦. Loved doll you made for Agnes.
Huge thank you to you Kate for making New Years Eve 100% better than I was anticipating. I watched the live from the comfort of my bed but nodded off just prior to midnight. Just as well as was up at 05.30 to work a 12.5 hour shift as a nurse on a covid ward. 2020 has been a dreadful year and I have found great pleasure and enjoyment in your wise, calm and entertaining video's. I felt very isolated last night and then up you popped just at the right time to make the world seem normal again! Very best wishes to you and all the lovely people on the lime green sofa and here's hoping that 2021 is a happier and healthier time for us all.
Best New Years Eve party I can ever remember attending, Kate. It gave the rest of us an opportunity to bless you like you have done the rest of us. My heart is still happy as we wait for the new year to arrive on the west coast of America. What a hoot. That was the most fun time on the divine Lime Green Sofa. Happy New Year, Kate.
I’m so glad I found you in 2020!! Sitting on that comfy lime green couch has been a wonderful treat. Hugs to you and looking forward to many visits in 2021.
Lovely Lady, you may not see this, but I needed you to know that I am grateful for the procession of events that lead to you doing this live. I didnt get to participate, but watching it a bit later was just as lovely for me. I love the lime green couch and all those on it. Happy New Year!
This was a lovely party loads of interesting like minded guests , good conversation.... and all in guaranteed safety.... Also on the plus side.... the 'bring your own buffet ' was brilliant... a tot of Cointreau and 2 mini pork pies for me please... not to mention the relaxed dress code and no sequins!.. The silent band was good too..... Bring on 2021.
Hi Kate, what a lovely start to a new year to drink my tea (milk, no sugar) in the morning and watch this. BTW I am living in Abu Dhabi and we have nearly every year a big group of migrating desert bees on one of our windowsills. Year after year we are happy that they come back. About the computer: my knowledge goes as far as "Switch off and some minutes later Switch on". But this helps very often. I hope you can sort it soon. And a massive Thank you to you Kate and to everybody on the LGS. This community is marvellous and really inspiring and it keeps a lot of us sane in these challenging times. I need to make more cushions for the sofa, footstool and Austrian "Vanillekipferl" (=typical Christmas cookie) and I am very happy and comfortable. Have a better year 2021 everyone!
It’s March 14, 2024 and I’m watching your marvelous video! It’s 50 degrees, rainy and damp in the house after having temperatures up in the 70’s just yesterday! Wish I would’ve known you back when you were making this because I would have told you to just turn off the computer; rebooting it! Whenever I have trouble my son always says, “just turn it off, wait a bit, and turn it back on again!” Works every time!
I’ve been crocheting for just a few years and recently stumbled upon your channel which I love even though I can’t sew, quilt or knit 😂 I’m late to the party but this is the best live stream I’ve ever watched, so much fun! 😊Thank you from the USA 🇺🇸
Wanted to add to your comment about Carlos being "proper", Kate. Just remember, Carlos is the one who has to make Arne answer the door bc Carlos isn't weaing any pants.😆 He has a wonderful sense of humor, he's just not as innocent as Arne.☺
I'm blessed to have kept my job, I've lost no one to Covid, no one I know has lost someone to Covid, and amongst many other blessings Of 2020 I discovered ARNE and CARLOS and subsequently The Last Homely House East of the Sea. How lovely it has been to watch this video for My New Year's Eve celebration. I wish All on the LGS a blessed 2021.
I had an enjoyable time quilting and watching your live stream on New Year's Day while in my home in South Dakota. You have a wealth of knowledge when it comes to all the places that people live throughout the world. Thank you for all your videos.
I so enjoyed the surprise live stream! I saw you were up, and clicked on your channel right away. I am watching the beginning now that I missed live :) What a great gift for the New Year.
What a great way to spend New Year’s Eve, chatting with more than a thousand friends on the lime green sofa. Thank you Kate and everyone. Happy New Year!
Happy New Year a bit late to the lime green cough just making some hexagons to finish a quilt I've worked on for 15 years now on and off...having a hot chocolate and some honey buns...cheers
Listened to this again while sewing here in WA. Now I’ll go check the time to see when this years starts! Missed you in December but I’m so glad you took time for yourself. Pat Sloan said today that she was staying up to make sure that 2021 goes away. I liked that. Just in case I get sidetracked Happy New Year Kate and to everyone on the lime green sofa as well.
So sorry to have missed this as I was already in bed. Being a dairy farmer in Derbyshire, UK, our cows don't understand the concept of a farmer with a hangover! Lovely to listen on New Year's Day though, while I'm finishing off a pair of track suit bottoms for my little grand-daughter, Rowan x
Happy New Year, Kate from Washington! Let’s hope the new year and the vaccine change our world for the better! Enjoy sitting on the LGS with all of your stitch friends, I am crocheting as I watch this a few days after New Years. Love your hexie quilt for Agnes, I am making one with Kaffe Fassett fabrics and black and white fabrics, it’s a labor of love!
I just had the most delightful time, watching this whole video from nearly 3 and a half years ago! And knowing some of the things that would be coming in 2021 and beyond: some sad, some amazing and wonderful. Love the friendly and funny community here!🎉❤
Absolutely loved this Livestream Kate. Only found you a few days ago and been watching your videos every day since then. You are so talented and a lovely lady with a big heart. Wishing you all the Very Best for 2021. Thank you so much for your brilliant videos. :-):-)
Was just a joy to spend New Year’s Eve with you Kate and with everyone else that was online with you. What a lovely way to sit on your collective chair /green sofa and share good wishes together for 2021 xxxx best wishes to everyone from Scotland xxxx
Sorry I missed you on NY Eve, but lovely to find you on this cold and snowy NY Day, while trying to keep warm here in St. Louis, Missouri. What could be better than an afghan to wrap up in, and a mug of hot chocolate, and Kate to listen to? I love Agnes' quilt. The colors are so beautiful, and your arrangement of them is perfect. I wish a happy and healthy 2021 to you, your family, and of course the cats!
I did a four year course for handwork teachers at the Fiber Craft Studio. I learned so much from that, but the KEY takeaway was to focus on process. This applies to handwork, but also to every aspect of life. Once you change your outlook from process to outcome, it changes everything for the better, you become open to creativity and to mistakes and to experimentation. It's life-changing. And the funny part is, it generally improves the outcome!
Deerheart, you live in the most incredibly beautiful part it the world you lucky soul. When this virus calms down eventually we will be winging our way across the ocean to have a visit with our family living in North Saanich, can’t wait!
Hello from Mabank Tx🇨🇱recently found you on podcast and you are an awesome maker!! Your handmade doll is absolutely lovely!!🌼I am going to make one for my GD Norah Jane. Thank-you for showing. I love to knit, crochet, cross stitch, weave and sew. Again so happy I found you!!
This was the best New Year's Eve party ever! Spending time with Kate and all friends on the LGS. What a wonderful family to be part of. We can all move forward into 2021 knowing there is a vaccine and there is hope for the world. Stay safe everyone and see you all next time. Hope you get the computer sorted out Kate. XXX
Happy New Year to you. I am in the USA it is 8:07. A few more hours until midnight. So nice to spend this time with you. I am doing a new Hexxagon Quilt. Every pc is done individually and after you have put them together with the batting in the backing in the top fabric, and sew them together. Then you sew them all together to make your quilt. And it is quilted all at the same time. Hope that all makes Sense. Lol Hope everyone has better 2021.
My ears perked up when I heard you mention Mervin Peake. I viewed the series years ago and loved it. At the time I couldn't find the books in print. That isn't a problem now. Hurray! Have a great 2021 Kate.
Happy New Year from upstate New York!!!!!! Let’s have a blessed and loving new beginning for 2021. Thank you for sharing yourself with all of us. The green couch is very comfortable. I bring my pillow when I come. Love the inspiration for my quilting journey Be safe. 💜💜🪰🦄🐱🧵🧶🐥🐥🎉
Love the idea of lovely waiters! The best part of lovely dining is being served by lovely waiters! (Notice, lots of ❤️!) I’m here, many moons from New Years 2020, but wonderful visiting with Kate and you all on the sofa. 😀
I’am very happy you have the same distaste for ADS. I watch a few other channels that are ad free and they, like yours, bring me peace and happiness. A few channels I quit watching because they had too many ads and it stressed me out. TY dear Kate and kitties😻
"The Guernsey Literacy and Potato Peel Pie Society" what a remarkable film. THANK YOU I never would given it a 2nd look without your recommending it. I'm so glad I listened to you and your friends on the LGS. Love and hugs
Hello Kate from Northern Ireland. Just watched this video during the night...unable to sleep..feel so uplifted now. Thank you so much for your lovely channel. My little black cat Velvet died Feb 2019 at the age of 22+ and I'd had her from a very tiny kitten. She slept on the pillow above or beside my head and sometimes knitted my long fine brown hair so it was like a bird's nest in the mornings. Your cats are lovely.
Just waking up in NY / USA 8 am 1/1 to your lovely voice . I now know it’s going to be a fabulous year. I thought I’d just watch a rerun but here you are taking care of us all - new and live💕
I just spent a lovely couple of hours listening to you while I tidied up my sewing room and yarn and thread, ready for a fresh start in the new year. It's only 9.24 here but I will be in bed well before midnight!
I know that I'm watching this late, but I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed watching this live-stream and celebrating the new year with you. Getting to see your joy and enthusiasm at midnight was wonderful. Thank you for sharing your world with us all & happy happy new year! ^_^
Hi Kate!! I remember watching this when it was live!! Still love seeing it again! Thank you so much for all you do and love all the quilts!! Someday I am going to make a quilt, maybe 2 or 3 of them!! Someday for sure, I'll let you know if I do.. Take care, love you Kate!!

Wow Cat Rita is so beautiful & she’s magnificent she looks like a large long legged feline. 😍😍🤗🤗
Couldn’t love Kate or this channel more but I won’t watch any video where my time is wasted with “Hello Debra, so good to see you” and “Hello Kelly, how’s your mother?”

Love to see your ongoing projects...here from Vancouver...
May 2021 be good to all of us all over this world. Wishing everyone on the LGS health and happiness this year!
My Grand Mother used hexagones to make Grandma's flower garden patterns. Loved visiting with you. Thank you. Love your furry friends also.

Happy ,healthy and safe 2021 to you Kate and everyone in the lime green sofa.
Happy New Year Kate and family., Im watching this a month later while crafting at my table and enjoying the company.
Happy new year. Love your videos. You are a calming person in these difficult times. Sending hugs.
Greetings from Connecticut, USA. Keep happy, you are strong.

I just spent a lovely couple of hours listening to you while I tidied up my sewing room and yarn and thread, ready for a fresh start in the new year. It's only 9.24 here but I will be in bed well before midnight!
Happy New Year xx
I know that I'm watching this late, but I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed watching this live-stream and celebrating the new year with you. Getting to see your joy and enthusiasm at midnight was wonderful. Thank you for sharing your world with us all & happy happy new year! ^_^
