I'm a concrete finisher and the truck doesn't need to be there longer. However I would make the truck stay there to wash out and take as long as possible instead of going to the washout. I honestly don't understand how people like him don't realize streets,curbs,exteriors(driveway& walks)slabs etc were poured in the 1st place. They act like the construction to build everything just magically appeared
By all means, if you do not like the loud truck do everything you can to make sure the loud truck will be there for more time...

I agree, I didn't get my first phone until my senior year of high school. At the time I hated being the only one without a phone, but now I'm really grateful I got to grow up without the mess of social media. I still don't have any of the popular social media apps because I didn't develop the addiction to it as a kid.

For that second one, where he opened the bag upside down...that's actually a good thing to do with flavored chip/snacks. All the powder goes to the bottom so opening from the bottom of the bag helps redistribute the powder there and also gets ya lots of flavor up front. XD

"Spoiling" a child by paying attention is not an actual issue tho. I would focus on the attachment style if anything; Is it constant, yet insecure? That would perhaps make the child anxious, not spoiled. Is it constant and also controlling? Doesn't make the child spoiled, most likely just avoidant and/or "difficult" (misinterpreted as "spoiled"). Is it constant love bombing ? That just messes with their sense of self. It doesn't spoil them.
With that said, I agree with you!
Checking in with your child, not avoiding the difficult questions and being attentive. Respecting their integrity as you remain in some authority. Dialogue, dialogue, dialogue(*). It's so important. Can't expect certain behaviour or sense of responsibility in your child if you don't give a hoot about/never bend to what your child is thinking and feeling. Only way to know is to talk about it, and by doing so, it'll give them the tools and space to analyze their own feelings, actions and the world around them. What it's all about.
Can't get that with a parent who only dishes out "do's and don'ts". Can't get that with a parent who only dishes out praise.

The spoon and the bowl was exactly what my ex-husband did, only he whipped that spoon around like a tornado at high speed. That was the finale to a loud smacking with open mouth chewing throughout the meal. He got worse to the point that my teenage son and I couldn’t bear eating with him. Just disgusting.
My bf told me the story of when he was very smöll and he got his very first cupcake 🧁. Not having the cultural background to approach the treat properly, he ate it. Paper and all. Other children lambasted him with laughter and scorn and he did not understand.
This story is still one of my very favorites of all time and it makes me fall in love with him again every time I think about it ❤.

When I hear the Australian accent, I'm always reminded of when I used to have a German boyfriend that visited me in Sweden (I later on tried to become a German and failed terribly but that's an other story). We were at a bar in Stockholm, drinking beer casually talking. My boyfriend spoke English in the same way as Germans do in Hollywood movies that try to be genuine. All of a sudden a very loud young man announced with a broader Australian accent than Steve Irving's, "YOU INVADED POLAND!" I broke down in tears.

I have personal experience with a loud truck. Every morning at around 5am my neighbor runs his truck for FIFTEEN MINUTES. And it's this low rumbling that you can hear from the other side of the house. Unfortunately, my room is at the front, and I always have the windows open, it gives me such a headache. Even with the windows closed! I'm like... duuuuuude. Stawwwwp! It's so ruuude. He's not even in his car, he just lets it run. It's summer dude, it's not like it's cold out. Then he has the audacity to turn I off before going out to leave. Like WTF WAS THE POINT OF THAT!?!!!? I don't know if he knows how obnoxiously loud it is, but dude. It's not even in his driveway, it's the handicap spot across the street (that just happens to be almost directly in front of my house. They're townhouse units) So he isn't even the one who has to listen to it every morning. I don't know how to politely ask him wtf.
