Saint Paisios of Mount Athos was a Greek Eastern Orthodox ascetic who resided on Mount Athos, a sacred monastic community. He was born in 1924, in Pharasa in Cappadocia and departed from this earthly life on July 12, 1994.
Saint Paisios’s impact extended far beyond the secluded confines of Mount Athos. His spiritual counsel touched countless lives, emphasizing prayer, repentance, and simplicity. People sought his guidance, and through his wisdom, humility, and compassion, they found solace and direction.
His legacy includes prophecies, miraculous healings, and profound spiritual discernment. Recognizing his sanctity, the Holy Synod of the Ecumenical Patriarchate canonized him as a saint in 2015. His feast day is celebrated on July 12, commemorating a life devoted to God and the well-being of others.

I absolutely believe this. Ive had horrible anxiety since a long time ago and only when I prayed surrender prayers.
I agree. Mindfulness only works to a point. Until you surrender to God you cannot have peace. At least for me anyway.

Not always. it can come from trauma, ptsd, and abuse but also hormonal and chemical imbalance. These can be healed by God, sure, but sometimes He chooses to allow them as they are what drive us to Him and keep us seeking Him. Even Paul had his thorn in the flesh that God allowed, it kept Paul seeking the grace God gives through our pain and trials. Not everything is a demon, especially if we are saved.

I just realized that I fear marriage, I'm 37 years old this june and i never been in a relationship before because the thought of it and getting married really scared me but at the same time i knew i can't keep this up because I'm not getting any younger and in my mind i want to have a family and it's really scared me to the point i wanna have suicide. The thoughts of getting married really scares me until i have ED last december because of a girl i've been meeting up with for 5 months asked me about marriage, it's really hard for me to take a step forward. Sometimes when I'm alone or not doing anything my mind keep thinking about this and makes me really scared and have panic attack like my heart beat faster and short of breath until i cried sometimes and my mind always saying things like i'm not ready, i'm not good enough, nobody want me, you're getting old, there's no time left for you to get a wife. Please pray for me to help me go through this 😢😢

Don’t worry about that either. If you are meant to get married and have kids, you will. God will provide everything you need “ seek first the kingdom of God and all will be added to you …” ( somewhere in the New Testament)
Exactly. If family is what is the best way to live out your life for others, you will be led there. If there is something better how you can be engaged with the world and participate in God, He will lead you there. Dont try to seek things prematurely with mistrust and fear. I pray He shows you that it really is better to surrender 'our' visions for life and open up to His will. Though i know it can seem very hard and harder for some of us. I.have been also having the anxiety to build a family. But trust me that is really the worst way to approach it. By overfocusing on things you are actively chasing them away. It is like that with everything. When you start making more and more steps of trust towards God, He will make you so serene you could not have imagined. Like almost not caring whether you will be a husband or a monk but getting excited if any of them is appointed to you. Beacause God chose it and you know He is the One that chooses the best in eveything. May He lead to experience deep trust with Him one day.

Brother, i am blessed with a wife and have 5 kids; anxiety never goes away. But i think if you control it before they arrive, youll have the tools to control it when the stakes are raised

They say there’s an a**hole in every crowd. I guess it’s the same with saints… (if he is one, I’m not familiar with him). Clearly he was never abused, nor short on his mortgage etc. He’s never had to camp in the woods where there’s bears or lions. He’s inhumane ! Duh !
He’s amazing. Everyone is different. Even if you were abused, you must pick up your cross and deal with it. Stop with the victim mentality

NO anxiety does not come from the devil, that is religious dogma. Stop bamboozling people with fear. Anxiety is a defence from buried feelings of anger, hurt and sadness which is meant to keep you safe from repressed feelings. Until that repression is made conscious then the religious lies and anxiety will continue.

@@jjm4341 Lol I was an atheist for 47 years. Now after 5 miracles and an attack from a demon I don't just believe any more because God and the after life is a reality for me beyond any doubt.
God always hides if you don't want Him so that will make you more confident to your opinion to believe that He doesn't exist. Only if you decide to seek Him and know Him, only then God will be revealed to you. That's why the relationship with God is a very private matter.
