This was my first defqon. It was 4 days after my 20th birthday, my first festival and of course my very first hardstyle-party. And what should I say? It was without any doubt the most beautiful experience in my life. All of my friends hate hardstyle or even eletronic music. So when i'm with my friends talking about music, i feel kinda like an outsider. But this weekend was so impressive. Everywhere just people who love the same music as you. Everywhere you hear someone playling a song you know. You go through the camp, hear a song you like, move to it and the people do the say. And then at the stages, everyone is singing with you, everyone is dancing with you. It just felt like home. I had to travel home early in the noon on sunday. And missing a whole fucking day of pure hardstyle madness totally broke my heart. But it wasn't my last defqon and definitely not my last q-dance experience. I'm just so proud to be a part of this big lovely family, the hardstyle-family. DEF-QON-ONE!

it's the end show. it's a SHOW, people have been partying and dancing all day and the night before, it's meant to be enjoyed as a spectacle rather than a part of the actual party, so i think it's alright that people are recording. you won't see a single phone in the power hour footage ;)
I never understood, Defcon.1 and the name choice. The festival is always in Europe (but Defcon stands for Defense Readiness Condition which is used by the United States Armed Forces.) But still, it's January and Defcon.1 is in June this year 2019 in Amsterdam, technically Evenemententerrein Biddinghuizen... I'll be there for 2019!!!!

Sad that no one is talking about Perception, absolute beast of a track. 2016's Dragonblood ep is full of songs that cannot be faulted, my top 3 in no particular order is Perception, Gravity and Encore
‘Perception’ and ‘Gravity’ are under-appreciated these days. Coming back to these songs is a breath of fresh air, an escape from the new age oversaturated Hardstyle culture nowadays. I’ve missed this cinematic and creative-defining method of Hardstyle; it brings back memories. Phuture Noize, MYST and Voidax come very close, but not as close as this.

Everyone already complaining about the people filming and not dancing? I was at Defqon this year. after jumping and going crazy all day you finally have some time to just relax and watch a fantastic show of fireworks and music. That was a reason for me. I also showed my friends the videos I made the same night. So thats why I don't wait for the endshow being uploaded to youtube. If you go there yourself, you will understand.
This is the sickest endshow ever ffs... No words.. There is no single event you could compare to defqon in terms of production, this is just fucking unbelievable, the lightshow, fireworks, the tracks they've chosen.. everything's just fucking perfect.

I'll never forget the feeling at 5:25 when the anthem kicked in. You could feel the joy of tens of thousands of people just because of one song. See you there next year!
It's a shame to see those arguments about recording and people are actually not dancing every fucking year again instead of honor q-dance for this masterpiece
People need to shut the fuck up about people recording the end show. It's a *show*. The after party was for dancing. After being on our feet for 11.5 hours that day already, and not to mention the entire day of travelling the day before and 5 hours of dancing that night too, it's nice to just stand back, watch, and capture your own memories. Yeah, they release official videos, but this is nothing compared to having your own footage which puts your right back in that moment when you watch it. I didn't film the entire thing but I'm glad for the parts which I did film, these are solid memories in which I can keep forever.
Again and Again watching this Endshow is a pleasure! If you want to feel alive, go to Defqon! It's the one place where you truly experience the beauty of Hardstyle!
16.23 was the minute when it just was legandary no other festival can beat defqon 1 for me it is the best and biggest festival the biggest familiy on this planet it is just love and life this festival hopefully never dies i love DEFQON 1
Q-Dance seriously needs to start filming these shows with 3D cameras so everyone who couldn't be there can enjoy the experience as if they were there and those who were there can re-live the experience. I think this is the best Defqon endshow so far, it's simply awesome. The songs were perfectly chosen and the fireworks, lights, fire and the stage altogether just amazing.
