Man... the Hardstyle scene makes the absolute best shows of all other festivals, they are playing in a completely different league...i hope other big festivals takes inspiration from them, cause they are absolutely killing it and have been killing it for many years now!
Now when I attend a different or smaller event, everything is just so disapointing, because I'm used to the Defqon fireworks, music and show combination haha... both a blessing and a curse I guess :)
Okey really hard to say that. It does not need to have big fireworks and so on to be great. Sometimes the performance make it even better. Imagine not liking a show because there is no big light show, fireworks or something comoarable. Seems like people would think the "performance" alone woulf be boring

Always a question what you like and prefer. I was on a lot of different Partys Psy, DnB, Hardstyle, Hardcore, Dubstep and for me i prefer the smaller Festivals like Letitroll in the Czech Republic. Specially the Opening Show there where youve a Story arround it. But there are tons of Genres and Festivals with passionateted Crews behind them. Its also the Genre itself, Hardstyle sometimes works better with all that show and other Music like Drumnbass, Goa or so works when you have a flow in the music (when you know what i mean) - Hardstyle is mixed track after track where Goa & DnB mostly can used Tracks at the same time and dont have a lot of break sections
That moment between 15:10 and 16:25 is really absurd crazy to a point that Defqon1 is not a mere Hardstyle festival anymore, but has become a piece of Art, Art of Light, Fireworks, Lasers and Choreography, 100% Dutch ingenuity, where this small country can be so BIG and innovative. It's mind boggling.

Just insanely good! I’d say best build up I’ve seen.. pyro, lights and music worked with stage soooo together that religious gathering would be jealous for atmospere made up!

The open ceremony + ran-D to begin with aswell. Gosh. it blew me away. to be fair with you this is absolutely one of the best editions i've ever seen, together with Defqon 1 in 22 ;)

That Wim Hof thing was pretty amazing. Unusual for an endshow, and many criticize it, but I loved it at the moment.
He even did a live breathing session at one of the stages during the afternoon on Saturday at the festival. Like people needed to get anymore high than they already were haha. Still love it :-)

This isn't even a genre of music I listen to in general but I re-watch defqon 1 end shows on a regular basis because they are the absolute pinnacle of stage design & lighting, they're so impressive and mind-blowing and this one is no exception!!! The amount of detail in the stage is absolutely bonkers and the work that must go into designing every aspect of the whole show is just immense

Wim Hof man, his breathing technique is incredible. I've had times where I was frustrated, anxious or whatever nasty emotions you can have. I resorted to his breathing techniques which somehow always made me calm and down to earth again.
This endshow literally made me cry while I was training in my gym, cause it is so full of love, peace and unity. Things that rarely appear in our everyday lifes.
I live close to where its hosted you could still hear the bass an feel it even tho its 10km away

I'm amazed that they did a quality livestream of this endshow and didn't just upload it in better resolution but also edited it really well and added a lot of footage. That's just amazing

You’d really have a hard time trying to not be impressed with this. Truly, you’ve gotta really admire the craft that everyone at Q-Dance has put into this. The pyrotechnics and lighting for this is unrivaled. Anywhere. Period.

The Alchemist is going straight into my #2 track of all time, right behind live the moment.
I have always been emotional when it comes to hardstyle, but in my 8 year journey so far I have never been as mind blown as during The Alchemist. Doing the breathing exercises along Wim Hof DURING an already fantastic endshow at the holy grounds.. You literally can't make this perfect moment up
I thought I was about to pass out from the tears of joy + peak euphoria. No words to truly capture the feeling I felt. It was never as strong before.

@@Elatenl I get what you are saying. I have read Wim Hof's book + done endless 10min+ proper guided exercises so technically it wasn't a full on one, but I guess it was the easiest way to put it that way :D You did have a 15 second hold at least haha

I saw someone on insta + reddit commenting how they didn't enjoy it much, thought it was too long, too many pauses, not fitting vibe etc. But some of those also admitted not doing the breathing and playing along so who knows. Impossible to please everyone :)

The first part... Boy... gets you cryin, smilin and ...just enjoy the original song , but the way those from Q Dance brought the song, the concept, the firework... its just unreal.... Clearly they showed us..... WE RULE THE FIREWORKS SHOW IN EDM & HARDSTYLE KIND OF EVENTS. Lord thats beautifull.

Nie potrafię opisać tego co tu zobaczyłem, efekty świetlne na tak wysokim poziomie, że można się zatracić. Ludzie płaczący.... wcale im się nie dziwie. Nie byłem na żywo,a mi się łezka w oku zakręciła. Wspaniała robota na prawdę. Cudowny Event/Wydarzenie coś zjawiskowego, tyle radości i szczęścia i miłości przede wszystkim w tych trudnych czasach. Dziękuję z całego serca za tą wrzutkę. Pozdrawiam serdecznie moich kochanych rodaków, którzy tam byli i doświadczyli, tak wspaniałej imprezy. Hardstyle never DIE!!!!!!

What an absolute legendary show!
I'd love to see a behind the scenes where you go over what it takes to run a show like this. Like stage design, rigging, light fixtures, lasers, pyrotechnics, visual effects, arrangement, sound systems, camera work, production... All of it! I feel like the people who work on these things really don't get the credit they deserve for their blood, sweat and tears. I'm a nerd for these things, and i'd love to get a peek on what goes on behind the scenes from the masters who produce it.
It’s done by a lot of different companies like kugel, rentall, purple, pyrofoor etc which probably makes it hard to summarize this. Going there is already quite interesting just by looking at the stages up close and taking a peek at front of house.

@@Delanovdhoek ze controleren niet op leeftijd hoor bij defqon. Ik lijk 15 en al 3x gewoon door kunnen lopen. Hard bass werd ik wel bij gecontroleerd maar q dance evenementen eigenlijk niet.
Dus als je groepje niet allemaal 18 - eruit ziet gewoon doen. Had wel elke keer weekend tickets en was heel druk. Zal dus niet 1 dag dan gaan en als het rustig is
