@@SamEspen Hey there! Right now, I'm reaching Day 33 tomorrow. By the time I hit the 91st day in October 2021, I will definitely let you know in the comments section, my friend. Anyways, I'm doing well so far. It was a tough road being sober during the first few days, but it's gotten easier along the way since day 15. Now, I don't have to think about alcohol anymore. It's been about 3 1/2 weeks for me. That is alot as I was drinking around the clock for about 3+ years. I've gotten sober before for a year here and there but the difference this time is I developed jaundice and was hospitalized for 5 days. There is no doubt in my mind if I kept it up, I'd be dead by the end of the year. When sober before, I still put up with things I don't have to..... creating anxiety and stress. I'm noticing that certain people are supportive of me quitting, but still want me to tolerate intolerable behavior. I've had to start saying "No". That's where I'm at now...😊

Good morning!! Day 17. Today, shifting from “I can’t go in there,” to “I get to walk for 45 minutes, I get to listen to a great podcast” and it was a great shift yesterday & this morning ❤
I'm at that point that I get drunk as Fuck and I don't know why anymore. I have four kids three have grown and left home. I still have my son. I've been watching you. You are inspiring
I drank as an addict since I was 18. It was cool then. I grew up had my first daughter at 27. I was an alcoholic by then. I had three more children. I love them but I just always drink. I have no benefit. Sorry I'm drinking at the moment. I've been watching you and I'm wanting to start again tomorrow
Jan 1st was my last drink. still smoking weed but im almost ready to stop and see how true sober is. The alcohol was a waaaaaaaayyyyy bigger problem, daily morning and night. it gets pretty dark if you let it. all while being too drunk to do anything for yourself to move forward and upward in life.
Your channel really helped me at the start of my sobriety journey, and I'm now at 6months! I never thought I was gonna be able to make it. Yesterday I paddle on a lake at sunset and cried when I realized I had finally been successful at liberating myself from my addiction.
I'm almost 6 months sober now after drinking pretty heavily 12 years. Can vouch for all of this, people look at me different now too. Gym time, running every day help immensely as well. I've had a case of beer in my fridge the entire time, right next to a case of non-alcoholic beers. Just that little choice every time became a challenge I'm proud of now. Do it on hard mode!
@@GettingSoberAgainYour videos helped me a LOT. Especially in the early days. Thank you. I watch at least one sobriety video a day to 'remind' myself why I am doing this. That includes some pretty raw/scary ones that show real damage so I don't get complacent. The fact that the pain in my right side is subsiding also helps remind me that I am hopefully healing physically as well as mentally. Honestly I pray once a day for help to continue and I reward myself with little trinkets at milestones (month 1,2 3 lol). I figure I have saved £20*90days=£1,800 so far so why not lol. Got back into video games. Bought a Steam Deck with my savings. Try to avoid stress. Not easy but especially in the first week. It is more important that you get better than that form needs filling/email needs answering/whatever. If something is stressing you out then put it down/ go outside / walk away for a few minutes. Sleep as much as you can. It helps with mood. Sleep issues in the first few days are difficult but do not give in they DO subside quite quickly. Personally, I go and meet one set of friends who are not big drinkers once a week just to stay in touch. They understand because I told them and that helps keep me accountable. One of their brothers has alcohol issues so they understand. They may have a beer or 2. I have a Heineken Zero. I do that because I do not want to be frightened of going out sober. It is a bit like flooding for me. The more I do it and the less of a big deal I make of it, the less power it has. I did leave it about 3 weeks before doing that though. They understood. May not be for everybody. Thanks again. The urges get less and less frequent and more and more fleeting over time. You can do it. Oh and Coffee lol, Proper filter coffee in the morning and buckets of decaf during the day and eveing. Black with no sugar lol.
I was more likely to make healthy meals because I wasn't on the couch drinking. Also, more likely to be active the next day because I wasn't hungover. Both of these are likely to drop weight. Some initial sugar cravings early on probably delayed to weight loss.
Day 14! I canceled a blues festival with friends I was supposed to go to tomorrow.
I know I'm not ready to be in that environment yet...bummed, but proud to make good decisions 🙌

Haha awe thanks! I already have my green tea bottled and ready for the bar
I'm about a week in at the moment, before that I was 2 weeks after my birthday on March 27th but I relapsed for a week...
You worked hard for that week!! You wanna have to do it all over again? NO!
Hey Deadikated! Would love to hear how you're doing! How's your progress?
@@GettingSoberAgain No Sir!
@@SamEspen Going on a Month Right now...💪🏽
@@DEADIKATED that's great! Congrats. 😄😄
Nearly 2 months for me Jae....I've made some major life changing decisions & very happy about it...
Good morning!! Day 17. Today, shifting from “I can’t go in there,” to “I get to walk for 45 minutes, I get to listen to a great podcast” and it was a great shift yesterday & this morning ❤
Keep up the good work Jay
thanks Scott! I just recently hit 1 year, did you see that episode??
I hope to start day one tomorrow
I hope you WILL start tomorrow :)
I'm at that point that I get drunk as Fuck and I don't know why anymore. I have four kids three have grown and left home. I still have my son. I've been watching you. You are inspiring
Why did you start drinking? What were the benefits?
I drank as an addict since I was 18. It was cool then. I grew up had my first daughter at 27. I was an alcoholic by then. I had three more children. I love them but I just always drink. I have no benefit. Sorry I'm drinking at the moment. I've been watching you and I'm wanting to start again tomorrow
Are you posting tomorrow?
5 months Today and counting!!! I love it here
I found life to be way better than i expected 6/1/20
Jae, this channel makes me so happy 😊 it’s my comfort channel
Thanks for being my penpal :)
17 weeks sober. Longest streak in over 10 years
Your channel really helped me at the start of my sobriety journey, and I'm now at 6months! I never thought I was gonna be able to make it. Yesterday I paddle on a lake at sunset and cried when I realized I had finally been successful at liberating myself from my addiction.
6 mo tha LETS GOOOOOO!!!
whoa you dj?
lol I used to. now I just have very expensive video props
6 months next week. This channel helped me a ton, especially the first 60 days. This vid caught my eye, thanks!
oOOOoOOOOoH 6 months HERE WE GOOOOOOOO!!!
#stayHARD
This episode is GOLD! Thanks Jae! I hope something awesome happens for you today 🎉
Same to you!
Almost 6 weeks.
2 weeks today. Hopefully for good

Jae- you 100% need to write an ebook.
I've thought about it 😉 (but also that's the point of the channel)
Day 90 today. It's a mindset. 😃
ABSOLUTELY!! What tips would you like to share?
Day 96!
You were on a watching spree yesterday huh?!
Jae is a beast!

@GettingSoberAgain ...You know it! 😁👍🤩
@@BobShay wyd tonight Bob? Sam and I just watched the women's professional Disc Golf tournament. Now we are going to play 18 holes 🥳
@GettingSoberAgain ...I'm going out to eat a nice steak dinner with my girlfriend and enjoy my Pelligrino Mineral water 💧 💕 👍😁
What was the weightloss like when you stopped drinking?
I was more likely to make healthy meals because I wasn't on the couch drinking. Also, more likely to be active the next day because I wasn't hungover. Both of these are likely to drop weight. Some initial sugar cravings early on probably delayed to weight loss.
wellllll.....I was at like 180, and now I am very consistently at about 160.
Yeah that's about where I am lost 15 lbs since I quit a little over a month ago
@@charliebacon3778 you're getting RIPPED LOL
Hey Charlie Bacon! Hows it been going? Would love to hear from you and maybe see you in a livestream soon! 😄😄
