Wow! I wish I had the money to experience it. I am so impressed with the outdoor landscaping. Such perfection. They blur the lines between outside and inside. I love the muted colors of the interiors. Just stunning!!
Fantastic video. You've really captured the essence of the Como brand. Have stayed here several times, and it seriously is an amazing hotel. They did have another yoga shala when I was there located near the spa overlooking the valley which was stunning. If you get to Bkk stay at The Metropolitan, another great hotel in The Como line up

I loved it there however our room had to be fumigated twice as lots ants in bathroom . This did not detract from this wonderful karma resort with magnificent food and breakfasts
We stayed here during our honeymoon in Bali (along with Alila Ubud, which we loved last time we visited Bali - Happy to see that you did too!). We've been watching your videos for a while now and we booked Como Uma solely based on your review and I have to say, it matched our expectations and more. The attention to detail, flawless design aesthetic and incredible service at Como Uma made it by far the best hotel experience we've ever had and it really did make our honeymoon memorable. Thank you for the video, well done on 100. With regard to the morning offerings (canang), you mustn’t have been staying at the right Balinese resorts, of the many I have visited, nearly all have a shrine which is attended daily with that same ritual. Keep up the good work😊
The part I mentioned that was unique was that there were individual offerings placed at each guest room. Having and maintaining a shrine yes I know happens at every hotel 😊 Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
@@tfft Thanks - my gut is usually to go with Hyatt but it's also a paid stay to get a Terrace Tree Villa as those looked like the newest and nicest ones. Did you get to see them? The idea of being closer to Ubud at the Como is enticing as well and it's available via the CapOne portal to burn my credit - decisions, decisions. Appreciate your videos. Long time viewer, first time poster. First, I really enjoyed this video, it was informative and entertaining. The other thing I want to mention is that your camera work is amazing. When you pan, it’s a slow, smooth pan. A bunch of other creators whip that camera or phone around as if getting ready to throw a frisbee. The thing is, many of your viewers are watching on a phone or tablet. Relatively small screens, so every movement is magnified exponentially. I watch on my tv, so your effort to make things smooth didn’t go unnoticed. Plus your editing is spot on, and the script is written and delivered very well. Keep up the good work!

I think it depends on what style of resort you prefer. For a small, boutique resort in Ubud I cannot imagine anything being better (except perhaps the other Como properties haha). Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
Age rarely affects my scoring one way or another- but often I find older well maintained resorts more impressive than newer resorts with crap build quality.

If you're staying in just one place in Ubud, I'd probably stick with Shambhala becuase it is known to be their flagship on the island. I haven't personally stayed there though. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
Stayed at a Garden Pool Villa -- villa itself was amazing, but the experience was far from perfect. At check in, the lady who escorted us actually said she was tired because they're so busy -- an odd welcome. Then we got to the villa, she said we'll "stay with the koi"... but then there was no fish at the pond. She said the staff must have forgotten to put them back after cleaning. Worst was our experience at breakfast where the staff declined to give us the table we asked for because they were saving it for "big families". The place was 80% unoccupied, and he later sat a group of 3 Caucasians in the table we were asking for. Gorgeous place. Pity about the experience.

Regarding the COMO, it looks like this place is going to be number 1 on my list of resorts to try in Bali. Interesting because I had a very mediocre experience at the COMO in Phuket.

To be fair 90% of hotels in Bali are at least a 45 minute drive from the airport midday- so it's all relative lol.

You should try Como Shambala Estate. It's a bit to the north of Uma. But, it's the landmark property of Como in Ubud with focus on wellness.

Stayed at a Garden Pool Villa -- villa itself was amazing, but the experience was far from perfect. At check in, the lady who escorted us actually said she was tired because they're so busy -- an odd welcome. Then we got to the villa, she said we'll "stay with the koi"... but then there was no fish at the pond. She said the staff must have forgotten to put them back after cleaning. Worst was our experience at breakfast where the staff declined to give us the table we asked for because they were saving it for "big families". The place was 80% unoccupied, and he later sat a group of 3 Caucasians in the table we were asking for. Gorgeous place. Pity about the experience.

Regarding the COMO, it looks like this place is going to be number 1 on my list of resorts to try in Bali. Interesting because I had a very mediocre experience at the COMO in Phuket.
