10 years later, I still don't get what's there to apologize.. And don't get me wrong, I do get all the little toxicities and lies about their relationship, or better yet all that remained unspoken of, but apart from that, or maybe even especially because of that and the numerous similarities in their characters I, to this day, still find their deep air of silent understanding you can read in between every line very impressive. With Jack and her it was always this back and forth of misunderstanding and when they did get each other, they weren't much happy about it either. These two fit each other better than any other option in my opinion, and wasn't it for Kates' indecisiveness till the very end, boy I would've gone down with this ship. (Still do in a way;()
Kate expected Sawyer to apologize for saying she only slept with him because she thought he was a dead man. And Sawyer clearly knows it was bull but is just too damn stubborn to admit it. And he's afraid to get hurt, but the truth is he already loves her. So it's too late to not get involved anyway. And then the missed glances... They want to be together.
Really the reunite of Sawyer & Kate to the camp team is one of most sensational and emotional moments in season 3 of LOST, the whole camp team was joyful and excitement.
Kate is reaching out to Sawyer but he's being a jealous jerk. She can't even be friends with Jack? Look at the missed glances at the end of this scene. They want to be together, what is their problem? Ugh!
yes, for me it was often so annoying how they let both have such unpleasant dialogues. But rewatch, when Sawyer taught Jin some english expressions, women like to hear, by the VW Bus. Sawyer taught Jin exactly that, what HE refused to say to Kate some hours before:' I'M sorry. You were right.' That's typical Sawyers behaviour, first he refuses like a stubborn donkey, then after some time passed, he agreed.
@@verenamenzel4701 Oh yes, that's Skate's entire problem in a nutshell .. they don't understand each other. Or maybe they understand each other TOO well. LOL. One or the other. I really think Sawyer's jealousy of Jack is misplaced. Kate doesn't love Jack in a romantic way. But Sawyer doesn't know that and Kate doesn't reassure him because he says such hurtful things! Too bad he couldn't just say - hey - I'm kinda jealous of all the attention you give Jack - and she could just kiss him and say "Jack is a good friend, that's all." But if they could do that we wouldn't have much of a love story, would we? Darlton wanted to drag it out to the very end.
@@bertramsey I understand that. But on the other hand, they drove it to the top- I always thought, it's too forced, nobody would behave that way. And Sawyer had that back and forth with Jack too: friend, not friend, the whole time.It could be more relaxed, when Jack was with Juliet and there were some scenes, I felt, Sawyer and Kate grew together. Than they forced Evangeline, to go in Sawyers tent from jealousy and the whole crap started again. Jack kissing Juliet and 2 minutes later to Kate:I love you. I could choke.
@@bertramsey I rewatched the cave scene mib and sawyer 3 times with little steps for and back. I did not see any hint for kate 51. But Sawyer mentioned it to kate in the cage, after widmore put them all in. Did you see it?
@@verenamenzel4701 LOL, I wonder if the brainwashing video played a part in Sawyer's insecurities rising to the top again. He was really paying rapt attention to it before Kate snapped him out of it! Maybe it messed with his head.
Kate wanted Sawyer to apologize for he said so they could forget about what they did. But he's being selfish while she is trying to do the right thing. He refuses to let her go and Kate wants to end this affair because she doesn't want to hurt him.
