It is CLEAR at 0:04 that Kate tried to get in front of Sawyer to protect him, but he pushed her behind him and held onto her so she couldn't try to get in front of him again! He's still holding on to her. She loves him, she'll "DO ANYTHING" to protect him.
Kate was deeply ashamed of sleeping with Sawyer. Jack's sacrifice made Kate realize that she truly loves him, not Sawyer. Jack's anger was completely justified because, despite being heartbroken, he feels humiliated by Sawyer and Kate. Jack believes that Kate played him this whole time. First she kisses Sawyer, then Jack and then sleeps with Sawyer. And top of all that he sees them together on a monitor. I can't even imagine how that must make him feel. What Sawyer and Kate did was filthy.
@@monaesolomon9534 LMFAO he didn’t kiss her SHE kissed him. rewatch the episode💀 when she apologized for the kiss later on and he said no it was obvious she said that because she thought he didn’t want the kiss to happen. even after her moment with sawyer they both leaned in to kiss each other before michael ran out in the jungle and interrupted them.

Kate physically nailed Sawyer (out of pity mostly) but emotionally is so deeply bonded with Jack that tears just flow when she talks with him.
To be fair to Kate she DID NOT make any promise to not come back to him.
