@Syveck You would think so wouldn't you.. but below all those feathers, they're actually very small birds.

Thank you Somerset Barn Owl Live Cam for the wonderful video. I have to say that is one cheeky squirrel.
I just loved how the BO watched it, clearly wasn’t happy but did nothing.
    Wonderful footage 😊

Fantastic video, thank you! That squirrel is so cheeky, and the BO is incredibly patient.

@duncansoflondon1686 Indeed. After all the struggles this year it's the last thing they need!

A barn owl is pretty lightweight to tackle a grey squirrel. They can have a vicious bite, any injury to the owl could be life threatening.Wise to avoid conflict.

@kathleendolan8876 indeed! Our Owl is well seasoned though and seems to have the sense to stay away thankfully!

Call Monica Keasler, in Texas. She appears to be really good at getting rid of squirrels and raccoons.

1:51 , 2:06 , 2:21 -> Are those sounds being made by the camera or the owl?

@@enekaitzteixeira7010 It's hard to tell. It could be feedback to the cameras. The cameras are close to each other and sometimes cause feedback loops.

@@somersetbarnowllive The sounds made me think of a police scanner, panicked calls about a squirrel burglary, etc.

Squirrels get away with a lot since they have the "cute tail". I dislike the grey ones that have displaced the native specie :( I am rooting for Mr BO!

@muwizar Yes the grey ones are a very big problem. We don't get many here because it's primarily wetland but this guy seems to have moved into the area.
