- Hi guys, I decided to make some choc orange brownies...and film myself reflecting on moving to Australia at the same time. Obviously. Enjoy and watch till the end to find out the fate of the brownies...

Hi Surina, I love your videos and the good vibes! I’m a doctor from Brazil in the process of validating my qualifications so I can go to Australia as well and I love when you make videos talking about life there. Keep up the good work!
Good luck!!
Amazing video, really interesting!
Thank you!
Zest the orange before you juice it, and then remove the zest from the grater with a pastry brush.
Hey Surina! Thanks for your insights. For someone going through competent authority pathway to Australia from UK is it mandatory to do core rotations in ED, general medicine and surgery to progress to general registration?
Hope you get to dive (30m) the new Wonder Reef off the Gold Coast before you return home.
Not far to drive, could be a day trip or weekender.
The heat in brisbane is fine in winter but the humidity in summer is tiring. Having to keep changing clothing and putting on sun cream can be tiring. I prefer the cooler parts of australia but with warm summers.
It would kill me. Even Melbourne is too hot for me 6 months out of 12 but at least it's mostly dry.
Humidity is worse in sydney and Melbourne.
I'm thinking about doing a medical post grad in australia. So your videos have been so
informative and helpful in helping me make that decision. XD I've worked in a hospital in Singapore as a phlebotomist so it'd beinteresting to experience things in
Australia as well.
zest an orange before squeezing - with a grater with small holes or a zester.
Adorable
It's pretty obvious you love the place, enjoy while it last.
I don't see that.
It is one thing to have a gap year far from family and friends, quite another to moving to the Moon.
Will do!!
I would love it if you were more consistent because I think you’ve got untapped potential. Your videos are already so enjoyable and I think you could really expanded your reach if you wanted to
Agree
Bang the grater on a chopping board and the zest will drop off.
Nice one
Kind of ironic that you grew up in a cold place but like it hot and sunny, whereas I'm in a hot place (Melbourne) and prefer cold and cloudy. I also prefer winter fashion. Coats can look awesome.
Since I also live in Melbourne I find your comment very funny.
Thanks. Can a current ST4 in NHS come to Australia and continue the rest of the specialty in Australia?
I think it's difficult to come mid training from what I understand- either have to start training again here or come here as a consultant. Not 100% sure though.
You live in a beautiful city. Love your apartment.
Hi can you make a video of how to apply and work as a doctor as soon as a student is done with 6 yrs of mbbs from another country ?? The steps and procedures in getting a job in Aussie after graduating mbbs.
Hi, I have done videos on how I came to Australia. I am not sure if you can come straight after MBBS
Hello doc,
Can I get surgical residency like orthopedic surgery in Australia after FY 2 in Uk?
Or should I complete my degree in Uk and then go to Australia as a consultant orthopedic surgeon?
Please answer this question.
Pretty impossible to get straight onto a programme, will need to do few years of non training jobs at least
Do you have any study tips for med students?
1:31😹😹
If only we knew 😹
Kids are like that…constantly asking questions that you don’t know the answer to and making you feel incredibly inadequate as a human being. 😂
How to pursue medicine in Australia ?
Hi I am a medical student in Perth. If you like it here are you able to stay here and apply for permanent residency?
I believe so yes
You forgot to mention that in order to get into surgery training in Australia u have to be a permanent resident.
Is that true of the UK as well?
Hi Surina, hope you are doing well, I just came across your videos and really hope if you can answer some of my questions.
Can you tell me what are the opportunities for UK trained GP's in Australia. I just recently completed my three years GP training and I want to open my own clinic so can the UK trained GPs open their own clinics in Australia? As its fairly hard here in U.K to get independent license for opening a clinic.
Also I have a friend who completed her 6 months non training position in UK but she had to leave due to pregnancy now she is looking for Australia option as well. She got her PLAB so she fulfil half of the requirements of competent pathway but she atleast needs 1 year job experience which she is missing. Also she recently passed her MRCGP and planning to start training from August.
Can she still apply for non training Job with 6 months experience? Do you know any hospital that can take her in.
Hey, don't know too much about this but know that IMG GPs have to do 10 years of rural practice in Australia before being able to work in non-rural areas. Not sure about your friend's circumstances. I would guess she needs the full year experience as per the competent pathway or she'll need to do Australian exams (AMC). MRCGP not recognised here.
@@drsurinataneja thanks for your response.
Apartment tour?
Hello🥰🥰
0:33 STOP ATTACKING HER YOU BULLIES. SURINA JUST IGNORE THESE TROLLS. DO YOUR THANG GURL.
It's not even that cold in the UK
Do doctors have to get the COVID jabs to work in Australia?
Seriously?
@@ParArdua Many countries have dropped these toxic jabs.
yup - and hep B and pertussis to name a few more. I wouldn't want to put people at risk by giving them these infections, would you?
Why haven’t you considered US surgical training?
She doesn't want to get shot?
I fear I would lose my soul
Not sure that the doctor keeps up with current affairs...
But great that she and her partner have contributed to the Aus health system at the difficult time of Covid, floods, Japanese Encephalitis, and a torrid federal election.
May she never have to deal with amputating compromised limbs again.
😰
Are you an alumnus of Ali Abdaal's RUclipsr academy? I know I'm reaching but I feel this is a close guess.😁
You zest an orange before you juice it and you were using the wrong grater side. 🤣😂😂.
I'm not no! Love his tips though.
Yes I have since realised all of my zesty mistakes haha

It is obvious that the place you bought up you always hate it . Just like me I live in India and I always wanted to be in uk because of cold weather. Same goes for her she live in uk and not liking the weather. It is human nature you always wanted the thing you never had
I've never hated living in the UK! Both places have pros and cons :)
