I didn't know I would be able to sing and play UNTIL watching and trying it with this video-- I am astounded with myself. What a magical extended technique! Thank you Ms. Jeffery! :D
I played this during a pub folk session and you can instantly tell from people’s reaction who’s watched the show 😂 😱 Sarah please do a tutorial for the Clangers theme tune, the modern one on BBC CBeebies
@kryptonos rand Au contraire! It is you, and not I who is wrong. You-personally-may say, "That's him." But you would be grammatically incorrect. The nominative case pronouns: I, he, she, we, they are always used with the infinitive or verb “to be.” To be grammatically correct one would say, “It’s I” and not “It’s me.” If one wants to speak in the vernacular, one may say “it’s me” and “that’s him!” I know it sounds awkward to say, “That’s he!” And nine out of ten English speakers, regardless of his or her level of education, would use the accusative case pronoun “him.” But to use proper English, the correct grammar is to use the nominative case pronoun "he" as in “that’s he!” If you don’t believe me, ask an independent third party trained in English grammar. In closing, I believe Sarah would agree with yours truly. Her first language, after all, is English. Sarah was speaking in the vernacular, by the way, when she said “That’s me in a nutshell.” That is, she was speaking in “the everyday language spoken by a people as distinguished from the literary language.” By the way, I personally would never say: “That’s him.” I would always say “That’s he” to be grammatically correct. 👍 😉 Incidentally, you would be surprised how many native English speakers misuse the subjunctive mood and indicative mood when speaking English. 🧐 Now as Sarah would say, “Have great day…bye!” And I do wish you well. 😊
@@christophertsiliacos8958 As you said, she was speaking/writing in "the everyday language spoken by people". Therefore, there is no reason to correct her because in today's English what she wrote is absolutely correct. What is correct in and what is wrong in a language is not determined by a prescriptivist grammar book, but by the speakers. It is very probable that at some point in the future, "me" will be the only first person singular pronoun in English (as has happened e.g. in Tok Pisin).
Thanks!! I just started playing recorder literally today, my friend let me borrow his alto and im finally picking it up. the second song was so easy to play!!! Thanks so much!!
I watched Squid Game weeks ago, which I associated with the "Pink Soldiers" theme, but streamers playing Crab Game lately got the main theme stuck in my head 🤣
Ouch! That all holes open note hurts my ears! But I'll get used to it. If I listen and do it often enough, the note and I will become friends. The bit where you were first playing both recorders at once sounds positively medieval, not to mention modal! There are historically flutes which were played at the same time from that time period, and they weren't afraid to play parallel fourths fifths, and even seconds (called organum... minds out of the gutter everyone, it's an "n" not an "s"), but I'm not telling you anything you don't already know. I just can't help myself being an retired music historian.
The things you learn once you become a recorder player. I still have no idea what exactly Squid Game is, but now I know how to play music from it. (plays the soprano bit on the garklein) (neighbour's cats joining in)
Hello^^ I'm a Korean subscriber. I am enjoying your video. It's nice to hear you play 'Squid Game' here, so I'm the first to comment. To be honest, I haven't seen all of 'Squid Game' yet. I was very happy to see the word '리코더' written in Korean on the back wall. Thank you.
Since the first time I listened to the Squid game's music, I realized how good the recorder player was. The mixing of dirty and so clear notes, their phrasing, the beautiful ties and staccati. What do you think about it?
@@caseygreyson4178 I'm not interested in a show about desperate people playing life or death games for the amusement of others. I don't mind that other people like it, people like what they like, but if I want to relax and enjoy some entertainment and escape, that's not my thing. I'd rather watch nature documentaries, my favorite RUclips channels (which include Team Recorder and TwoSet Violin) or something like Avatar the Last Airbender.
I’ve seen you use that soprano (or something of similar color) in a few videos. Would you say that particular Mollenhauer is your main axe, at least for a soprano?
You are awesome, Sarah! My email to you was something similar to this video for young and new learners to quickly understand the sounds of the right notes. I am once again placing the same request to you through this comment. Could you please make separate videos for each note from C to C? It will benefit many individuals. Thanking you in advance for your support!

I cannot stress enough just how ingenious I've found the arrangement of the second Piece. Very well done.

That's why I always recommend you, when people come to for lessons.i can't teach like u.but I can read & play
Few seconds in, I can see your editing has improved SO MUCH!!!
Your arrangements somehow sound both medieval and contemporary 😂

@@Team_Recorder Or to be grammatically correct, "That's I in a nutshell." 👌 😉

You are so creative in Recorder playing.
You're amazing. Thank for all the amazing videos 🎶🎵🙏
Inspiring!
So good, something everyone can play whatever level :) and then she adds voice and a second recorder 😆 I think I'll pass on that bit.
great tutorial :)

I refuse to have anything to do with that show. But I’m glad I found your channel, I’m really enjoying it.
Any particular reason why?

Could you do a Sailors Hornpipe tutorial on the recorder? It is such a fun sounding tune.
Very good. I enjoyed it very much ❤️
Somehow the alto sax has the exact same notes for this song as a soprano recorder
Isn’t it weird that the recorder notes are the same as French horn notes? I feel like it should be the same as clarinet notes.
Love u Saraahh!!!

Could you do a tutorial for the song E Papa Waiari?
