Hyped you like it! What more it's not only follow, you directly control your character, you level up, choose skills, collect items and more. We really want it to be very tangible experience :)
Looks like a mix of Civilization, Knights of Honor, Crusader Kings 2/3 and Heroes of Might and Magic with an artstyle of the Witcher: Thronebreaker. Could be interesting.
I read somewhere that it is kinda like a blend between Ck3 and Manor lords but with a much greater emphasis on the role play part, which is great for me because I've had a massive gripe with the lack of roleplay options in both those games. Looks super promising.
Indeed Manor Lords is one of the less obvious comparisons that appeared in some of the articles. We believe Liegecraft has most common with CIV, CK3 and Homm3, though, we really appreciate that you have your own associations, as it allows us to look at the game with fresh eyes and get inspired for future development! 👀😊
Ok this looks VERY interesting! Can’t wait to play this! Is it more historical or a fantasy land resembling our history? I see some Western and Eastern European influences like Polish! Also, is it like Crusader Kings were it’s a sort of sandbox you can sink countless hours into, or is it a sort of campaign/linear stories? Also, I hope you guys have some sort of inheritance system. It would suck if you only played the one ruler and after they die it’s game over. It would make sense though since I see the game goes from Early to Late Middle Ages?
Combat is going to be divided in two types: personal - 1 on 1 duels between characters and wars - where characters lead their armies of units. ruclips.net/video/Hk-2Mu8bvKY/видео.html - here you can see the latter. Scale of conflicts is much smaller than in CK3 - where it is mainly about numbers. In Liegecraft things are personal, it is about characters and specific units.
Very interesting. It usually is difficult for me to get into turn based games after playing Paradox for so long, but the art direction is really beautiful. Hopefully stands out in its own way from Crusader Kings.
Lomg as i can see my knights in armour stand at my side then ill gladly follow in my plantagenet grandfathers and grandmother's footsteps.... Minus cousin wars obviously.
Im an Age of Wonders fan, and although this game distinctlively lacks dragons and dwarves... I'm in. It seems to do 2 of the 3 things I wish Aow4 did and doesnt. Correct city building/city expansion on the map and true rpg play in the style of the old crpgs like the original Baldurs...
It looks great but I have a question, will it have character creation or will there be predetermined characters with a certain degree of customization?
We are planning certain degree of customization, not full creation. But since the game is in development and we plan early access release, there is some degree of changes we could do - would you like to see full customization?
@@Liegecraft I think a moderate level of customization is enough, like being able to choose your character's gender, clothing, name, hairstyle, and the color of hair and beard.
That unnaturally big characters that you move on the map look a little off in my opinion. Would rather see them a little smaller and less cartoonish. Game design looks cool. Not sure if there is a big enough demand for another Crusader Kings or HoMM game though. Fingers crossed it will sell well.
Hard truth is that if you focus on too many things in one game then none of it will come out well and polished. Game might be good at something like diplomacy and managing your town but the rest will definitly be lacking deep, but its just a example.
There is definitely some truth in that, we know this phenomenon from our previous experiences in the team and we'll make sure Liegecraft delivers you a great experience as a whole
We are indeed thinking of adding them, as hey are pretty underrepresented in other games. Make sure you'll involved on our discord to talk with us on that aspect
The 3D models don't look amazing. I like how paradox gets away with more of a 2D style by having a separate, close-up screen for interactions between characters in the game. Paradox also already has a court system. This just seems... dumbed-down. It's their first game so I guess we'll see.
Well this seems to be on a much more personal level following your ruler around to everywhere so it's trying to do something a bit different although there are similarities. Travel, court and battles definitely seem to be more in-depth. The visuals are not impressive but I'm willing to over look that if the gameplay is good.
A strategy/RPG hybrid where you closely follow your ruler around is definitely an interesting premise.

That's a nice mixture you've noticed! Expect some updates in terms of the art style - we have still a bit of work to do there
This is exactly what I thought!
I like the hexagons. I like them on both stategic and tactical map. Hexagons reflect real geometry quite well and make a game very tactical.
Hexagons are the bestagons
We love them as well, but... You've already noticed right? :D
Looks interesting.
Added to wishlist :)
Czekam na premiere :)
Looks very good, i'm gonna follow the development
Awesome! We are soon going to start sharing with you our devlogs, we hope you will like them!

@@joelmiiro6349 none of this looks like manor lords beyond it being medieval
Norland is kind of mix between CK3 and Manor Lords
More like CK3 and HoMM with some inspirations from other strategy and RPG games mixed in.

Civ+CK...+Sims
So it's a more zoomed in Crusader Kings 3? Count me in
Looks great!
Looks really interesting! Can't wait!
This looks awesome.
Nice! Any particular aspect you care about the most?

Looks really interesting, I wonder how the fighting is going to look, hopefully better system than ck3

What about the game world? Is it going to be realistic and historical?
Very interesting. It usually is difficult for me to get into turn based games after playing Paradox for so long, but the art direction is really beautiful. Hopefully stands out in its own way from Crusader Kings.
Looks exciting. Will this game handle multiplayer/ pvp? That appears to be the key to strategy games with cult followings!
Genialne!
Super! Śledź nasze social media, niedługo zaczniemy wrzucać nasze devlogi!

There was a chinese one few years ago, if thats out that might be more playable

Can we play the Byzantines in this? :)
Odd name but looks interesting.
The name is inspired by names of the classics such as Warcraft and Starcraft :)

Dungeons sound a bit much but interesting promises all the same. Demo and level editor pls!
Love games like this. Will this be pc only? Im gonna assume so sadly
@@Dubyahh maybe maybe not, AoW4 and civ are on console aren’t they?
@@r3dcoat397 true. And stellaris and ck3. So hopefully 🤞
Probably going to be PC only due to this being made by a small studio. But who knows
For now we are planning PC only release, if we get a lot of interest from players though we can then think of expanding number of platforms
@@Liegecraft alright ill keep an eye out then. Thanks for the response!
Will it have endless DLC?
Are medieval Balkan states playable?

Medieval age of wonders?
Civilization Kingdoms: The Age of Wonder 3
The first iteration of the series, was one of the greatest games of its generation.
could be interesting, but if it remains singleplayer only, it needs a good AI
looks a bit like endless legend for some reason
Looks Like piece od ehid
Switch? 🤔
It is possible, but for now we focus on PC version
@Liegecraft Thank you 🤞

… just medival ver of civ but lower
Looks stupid. It's gonna fail
More like "Knights of honor" not CK3 bruh
Looks very cool!!
