OK this is my opinion of what really took place the first baby that was been born first put its hand out (which we call breech baby)and the midwife knew that the baby will not be able to be born this way,but thought quickly on how to identify the first born when they come out, was to grab the baby's hand and tie a piece of string so that the frightful first born will inherent its birthright.it had nothing to do with the actual mean of the string but the claiming of the child's birthright. If you go on in the Bible you will see that the second child came out first and how they knew this was because it didn't have the string on its hand.so the second child was said to have stolen the birthright from the rightful first born
When we are talking about the wearing of the Red String, we are talking about Jewish esotericism, the Jewish Kabbalah. We are talking about the soul of the Torah. The Torah is the physical dressing, the Safer Yitzirah, the Zohar Ha-Kadosh, Safer Razel Ha-Melach, all of the great Kabbalistic texts are the soul of the Torah. What is the dressing of the Torah? They are the stories, if we look at all of the Torah, or what others call the Pentateuch or the Old Testament, these are full of what are called stories. Stories are what we call the dressing of the Torah. I cannot judge someone as to the way they are dressed. I have to hear them talk, I have to know what’s on their mind. I have to enter into a deeper level than how they are dressed. I can’t say that I am going to marry a woman because she has a nice dress. I can’t say that I understand the Torah by the stories that it contains. I have to go beyond it's dressing. Just as a human being has a soul that is dressed with a body, which in turn is dressed with clothes. So if I want to get know a person, I have to transcend their clothing, transcend their body and then get to their essence, which is that person. So a person, as seen in the mirror, is not the person, what you are seeing is its dressing. The body is it's dressing, the Torah and the writings in the Torah are the dressing of a soul, that is, if you want to get to know it, you will have to enter in to the Zohar Ha-Kadosh, in its secretes, or you will have to enter into the Safer Yitzirah or you will have to get into the Safer Razel Hamelach (the book of the angel of secretes).
I have secured them from several sources; mitzvahland.com, the Kabbalah Center and even amazon. Look for a guarantee that they are coming from Rachels tomb in Israel and check the reviews.

Very nice to hear this explanation. I think items like this are mental aids. I liken it to a compound pulley for heavy lifting. The pulley itself is not magical but a tool to assist. Exerted force is still required. I think thought is powerful and one can amplify that power in certain ways. For it is not just wisdom but understanding combined that unlocks creations that overflow into the denser forms of existence.
How did a pagan ritual come from a string on a baby?. it is also not recommended by the Rabbi's, Thou shall not covet is a commandment, not wearing a string is not. Love thy neighbor as thyself etc, etc. its all there. Giving or taking is a choice and being with the Creator one has to give. Left hand also represents taking, right is giving.
What about the red string on the temple door that turned white to show that sins had been forgiven but 40 years before the temple was destroyed it did not turn white so all your suppositions are out of the window for without jesus you have no life or for that matter (luck) ware christ it's much better stay humble
Hello Kieran, I think you are referring to a strip of scarlet-dyed wool tied to the head of the scapegoat during the Yom Kipper Service; not on the temple door as you state. Since my function here on earth is to teach those that are hungry to learn the secrets of heaven and not counter missionary work. Not that I couldn’t give an answer to you comments, but I have learned that going back and forth on these types of issues takes me away from my function. I also don’t like to offend or upset anyone. So, I am going to refer you to a couple of some great teachers, which I had the pleasure of meeting and studied under for sometime. Rabbi Tovia Singer and Rabbi Michael Skobac, they can be found on their respective websites and on RUclips. I am adding the below link to Rabbi’s Singer website that will help everyone in understanding your comment regarding the strip of scarlet-dyed wool and Jesus. outreachjudaism.org/yomkippur/ Two must have books for anyone looking for answers to Christian charges against the Jewish faith. outreachjudaism.org/shop/lets-get-biblical-expanded-2-volume-study-guide/ Thank you,

Hello, Quieting the mind is very hard to do, the mind has a tendency to try to go on its own, it's like a wild horse, you have to tame it and control it. Your experience is not uncommon and you will see as you meditate more and more that you will be able to control your thoughts as you progress in meditation. It's like a muscle, the more you work it the stronger it gets, in this case you will be able to clear your mind the more you meditate. When your mind tries to take you to those bad memories, use the reins to pull it back to the meditation. Before a meditation, take some time to relax the body and the mind by taking deep breaths. Also its best to meditate in the mornings when the mind has not had time to get full of the everyday stresses. Keep me updated. Thanks.
Hello, This understanding has been passed down from master to alumni for thousands of years. My direct teacher is Rav Avraham Albert Gozlan, he is directly linked to Rav Simcha Ashlag Shilta gandson of Rav Yehuda Ashlag through Rav Yechiel Shemer. Rav Avraham Albert Gozlan started over 35 years ago and has been teaching for over 25 years, his teacher was Rav Yechiel Shemer, was a director of a Kabbalah school in Tel Aviv. His profound understanding covers the Kabbalah of the Safer Yitzirah written by our patriarch Avraham Avino, the Kabbalah of the Ramchal, the Kabbalah of the Arizal, the Kabbalah of the Gaon of Vilna, the Kabbalah of Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai, the Kabbalah of Rabbi Avraham Abulafia and many other masters. I found this wisdom over five years ago and has transformed my life. I therefore, had/have to translate it and try to get it out to as many people as I can. Thanks for asking.
Although wearing this is based on antiquated superstition, I do think that there is underlying wisdom here. Wearing these kinds of things is blind leading the blind mentality-- but lessons learned from these kinds of things are still good. I can't take the literalism of this, though!! These kinds of things are for "cult of personality" types.
We have to remember that the red string is only a tool. We do not worship it in any way shape or form. In the Jewish tradition, idolatry is strictly forbidden. We do not worship anything that was created, not a red string, not an animal, not the moon, stars, planets or sun, and not even a man. Just as we use tools in our everyday life so that we may have a more enjoyable time here on earth, we utilize the red string in that same way.
Silly superstition leads to dissociative tendencies. Just be what you seek and break free of this self imposed burden. You are most likely an Ego... which is a thoughtform attached to early memory. The midwife put a red string to DISTINGUISH between the 2. Not an instruction to wear it anywhere in the bible. Only the Luke warm Christians
