Dr Godfrey has such a flowing dialogue when he delivers a sermon...He makes it comfortable 'yet' compelling and urgent to act upon...Thank God for these Teachers He has given his children...
What a great message to hear. It reminds us how Jesus was faithful to God’s calling to the end and faithful to His own. Let us be faithful unto Him too. Lord draw us closer unto You. Thank you for your servant who brought this message before us. Bless him.
I cannot imagine being married to someone who does not love books as much as I do. A person who doesn't love studying and learning. Who would want me to give up my books. Maybe it's the attention that the person thinks is taken away from self. I too, spent my childhood in books. My degree is in English literature and writing. This gift from God has served me well in serving God.
I guess he would be proud to know that I have a 16 year old granddaughter that says she likes to hold books. Unusual for today. She also wanted to be in the classroom and talk to her teachers during the pandemic, rather than the online method of learning. She is very social. I can only pray that God will use these traits for His purposes.
When I built online bookstores I always had 20,000 books in my garage. My kids would dig through the piles, boxes, and bookcases like they were trying to dig to China. Our bedrooms were piled with books of many kinds. O, that I were walking with God at that time! The books I would have read and cherished. How ignorant I was, amid all of that knowledge! How far from the truth, while it was all around me. May God forgive me for the Bibles I burned that had no resale value. May he forgive my blindness and arrogance. In vain do I long to return to that time, gather up those broken and tattered books of scripture, give them a place of honor in my home, and read through notes and highlights left by other Christians that I might mine some gem.
1) when the old testamate canonized 2) when was the new testamate canonized 3) Is the masoretic text superior to all others? 4) why trust anything from the 16th century since "Christianity" made a mistake 😊😊😊
We should all keep physical books because we never know when they will be taken away. What then? the electronic books are deleted… wouldn’t be a bad idea to try and memorize some scripture.
I just heard this sounds like are believers in Jesus still lost they salvation .. and also sound like we have to work for your salvation ... good work that do only come from the Victorian of Jesus at the closs ... you mix humans can do and the only work that save us is the finishing work of Jesus

I agree wholeheartedly about the books.
A great historian as well as a preacher of the true word

I agree with you.
