I just wanted to put in my 2 cents of the paint (tempera fine) if anyone is interested in them. I found them to be adequate as a beginner, but they are not even remotely my favourite. I find the colour mixes are a little muddy, and the texture is a little odd/thick. I find they can very easily become chalky. They actually frustrated me more as a beginner then excite me to continue. Luckily I was able to get a beginner set of winsor newton gouache which I found significantly easier to work with. For beginners and kids ,I think they would be fine for dabbling. If you are starting to use the medium and anticipate you will continue with gouache, I would personally recommend getting better quality paint so that you don't need to repurchase better paint in the future. Thanks for the review, hope this helps as well for anyone interested. :)

Thank you so much Chloe for sharing! :)
I pretty much agree with you on everything, I can totally see a beginner to gouache getting frustrated with Maimeri tempera fine, although I've tried worse quality than Maimeri tempera fine, so these are still better than some other cheap gouache brands I tried and are usable for sure.
But yeah, for someone that would really like to learn how to use gouache, other brands like W&N would be a better option! :)
but I'm curious to try the other line from Maimeri, which I think it would be better quality than the tempera fine!

I want to try Maimeri watercolours but they are so expensive from where I live that the high end asian and american products are much cheaper. I wish I could try them since not a lot of reviews are up for them but the ones that are do praise them for being amazing.

Oddio grazie mille!! 🥰🥰 che dolce che sei!! 🧡
spero che ti sia utile questa spiegazione! Cioè in realtà parlarne con qualcuno aiuta anche a me capire cosa è vero o no 🤣🤣

Yay! I finally made this review about Maimeri fine gouache/Maimeri tempera fine that I've been using from some years! Hope you enjoy and find it helpful!
Let me know if you've ever tried any paint medium from Maimeri and if you speak Italian, lascia pure un commento in italiano! 😊
There are some differences between tempera and gouache for english speakers, but Maimeri call their “Tempera Fine” as “Fine gouache” in English (both on their website and on their tube) which makes me believe they’re traditional gouache and it’s just a language translation: Fine gouache translated in Italian is tempera fine! 😊
Subtitles for this video, both English and Italian, are available!
It felt strange to make this video partially in Italian, although I speak Italian everyday at home 🤣 Fun fact: I translated the script (that I always write in English for my videos) in Italian to add the Italian subtitles for this video, but I had to adapt many phrases that I say them completely differently between English and Italian!
I'm used to think and write in English at this point (although I'm aware my English isn't perfect), so another fun fact: sometimes I forget Italian words, so occasionally in conversations, my friends and family can't understand me because I say the word that I forgot in Italian in English first, and then after a moment of thinking... I translate it and say it in Italian 🤣 bilingual problems 🤣

The organic inorganic thing probably refers to what kind of chemical they are. Inorganic compounds are like salts and crystals, a "simple" structure made of a metal element and a non metal element. Organic compounds are consist mainly carbon and hydrogen and are more complex structures. I hope I explained chemistry a little bit, I really like your videos

That's so interesting to know!! thank you so much for sharing!! :) I just assumed the organic/inorganic thing was based on if the pigments come from an organic material that you can find in nature or inorganic if perhaps was made synthetically, but I didn't know what it was in the specific!

Hi, very curious to know, is Italian spoken in Swizerland different than the one spoken in Italy (for example on TV)? You have a slight accent I don't recognize in Italian. I know Swiss German is different from standard one and even the one spoken in Austria, but my German is too basic to tell the difference :)

    • @sandraruberto8806
      @sandraruberto8806  3 года назад +1

That's a good question! I think in Switzerland we speak the same Italian as in some regions of North of Italy like Lombardy, but more in the specific I think what you and most people often hear from Italian speakers are the different accents and dialects, which could sound more prominent/strong compared to the Italian we speak in Switzerland.
And there many and different accents/dialects in different regions of Italy.
Here in Switzerland we actually have our own italian dialect called "ticinese" but I personally don't speak it and I speak standard Italian xD
but I think I'm a quite unique case because I never had a strong italian accent, even my italian friends tell me that my Italian accent is not italian, or at least not strong XD
And I grew up learning French, German and Italian but especially Swiss-german. My mother is Swiss-german so I hear Swiss-german on a regular basis, my German pronunciation would be good but my German is too basic to hold a conversation xD
And you're right Swiss-german is different from the German spoken in Germany or Austria! but I would say it's mostly a matter of dialects (which by the way there are different dialects even for swiss-german) where certain words are said differently between standard german and swiss-german.
Then about 7 years ago I've been to UK for 6 months to improve my English and since I opened my channel about 3 years ago, I speak English on a regular basis. Which I'm sure people can still hear my italian accent when I speak English, but I think I improved my pronunciation over the years so I don't think is that strong right now.
But you see, my accent is a mixture of different languages xD

    • @liviajercan752
      @liviajercan752 3 года назад

@@sandraruberto8806 That's so interesting :). Swizerland is very unique with such a mix of languages.
I'm Romanian and did not grow up bi or multilingual like you, so it's difficult to relate, but English did become my go to language over time so I often have the same problem with rather remembering some word in English than my own language. I used to think German impossible, but it's sounding much more friendly after some classes. I was a little discouraged to learn there are so many different flavours :)

@@margaretf667 thank you for explaining! 😊 I knew that Sennelier had a tempera made with eggs as binder which differ from normal gouache, but I haven’t understood yet if that’s the only difference between tempera and gouache or if there are other factors.
While for us that we speak Italian tempera and gouache are the same thing! 😊

@@sandraruberto8806 the naming of gouache is a mess! Tempra was originally the egg tempra and that was it. I am not sure if gouache as we know it existed at the same time or if it came later.
I did a lot of recearch on this a while back for a video on the topic. Poster paint is yet another name for gouache. I think in US they use Poster Paint for the cheapest and lowest quality, and it is often sold in a very liquid form. Tempra is a bit better and gouache is the finest. -In US still. In Europe it is a lot more muddled together. Royal Talens use all three names for their gouache. I grew up with opaque block watercolours beeing called tempra. (I am from Denmark). Gouache is a name I encountered a lot later in life.
So yes, the names is a hot mess!
