போன்ற விஷயங்களைப் பற்றி சிரஞ்சீவி சிவஸ்ரீ பேசினார் - கேட்ட முதல் தீர்க்கதரிசனம் (உபதேசம்). பலர் தீர்க்கதரிசனம் கூறுகின்றனர். ஆனால் அவர்களின் மொழியை (தீர்க்கதரிசன நடை) புரிந்து கொள்வது கடினம். (எந்த மொழியிலும் இப்படித்தான்) சிவஸ்ரீயின் இந்தத் தீர்க்கதரிசனம் தமிழ் (மொழி) தெரியாத எனக்குப் புரிய வைத்தது. பல்மிரா மக்கள் கூட புரிந்து கொள்ளும் வகையில் சொல்வது மிகவும் கடினம். காரணம், இது முழுக்க முழுக்க இறையியல் சார்ந்த விஷயம். தாழ்த்தப்பட்டவர்களால் கூட அதை அர்த்தமுள்ள வகையில் வெளிப்படுத்த வார்த்தைகளைக் கண்டுபிடிக்க முடியாது. இறையியலில் மிகவும் கடினமானது. அசந்தம் தீர்க்கதரிசனம் சொல்லும் விதம், ஒவ்வொரு அபாகாவின் விளக்கங்களுடனும், அவ்தை அக்கா சொன்ன பாடல்களுடனும் மிக நன்றாக இருந்தது. முழுக்கதையையும் கேட்டுவிட்டு, சிவஸ்ரீயை (வடிவத்தை) ஒருமுறை பார்க்க வேண்டும் என்று ஆசைப்பட்டு, ஒருமுறை திரும்பிச் சென்றேன். சுப்ரமணிய பாரதியின் 11வது வயதில் பாடிய சின்னன் ஜிருகேளியே...கண்ணம்மா...என்ற பாடலை கேட்டால்.
இது முற்றிலும் புரிந்துகொள்ளக்கூடியது.

I first heard of Avudai Akka from a book about Shri Ramana Maharishi . Maharishi talked about Akka's songs. Then, after a few years, I chanced upon a copy of Avudai Akka's songs. I purchased a copy and read it.
Now, I'm blessed to listen to Sivasriji .May God Bless her and her associates in this divine endeavor that she has embarked upon.

What a fortunate soul Avudai Akkal must have been to get dheeksha from such a great mahan like Sridarayyaval who merged with Mahalingeswarar in Thiruvidaimarudur like Manikkavasagar and Andal Nachiar. To my knowledge only these three souls had merged with bhagawan's achavatharam. Out of the three it was only Sridarayyaval who exhibited his holiness and closeness with the almighty in no uncertain manner.
A word about smt.Kanchana Natarajan would have been most appropriate as without her research we would not have come to know about Avudai Akkal.
Sivasri thaye hats off to your contribution in the field of bhakti. How great of you to explain many things connected to many a sahityam and abhangs that you choose to sing. It is a pleasure listening to your talks associated with songs and as regards the rendition itself I bow down deeply to your voice and bhav. In fairness, a lot of credit must first go to Swami Nityananda Giri who compiled the Akkal Paadal Thiratu as well as late Music Director Sri Krishnan (father of Mridangam Vivian Sri K Arunprakash) who set to music ten songs of Sri Akksl for Bombay Sisters. Credit rightly due to Dr Kanchana Natarajan for her field research and publications (book and articles in Mountain Path) that were built from the work done earlier. Lest we forget, many do their parayanams of Sri Akkal songs including Sri Ramanasramam. It is important that we continue to celebrate and venerate Sri Akkal in perpetuity focussing on the Vedanta and not get caught up in a social commentary of those times.
