When you live in Mumbai, you pay exorbitant rates for a shit location but it's also because the city provides you the ability to generate such a kind of income as well. It's a common thing in all big cities. In New York you pay maybe $3000 for one room in an apartment - it makes no sense. But people still pay that because they are able to generate maybe 8K a month as income by living in NYC. You would not be able to generate the same living in Kansas or Indore. At the same time, there is no two ways about the fact that Mumbai pays the highest amount of tax and receives the worst infrastructure consistently. Nigeria in India was a very good analogy but pretty much all of India is like Nigeria except for a very fractional percentage of places in the city.
Bandra w has 3 promenades- bandstand, carter road, reclamation, all at walking distances, atleast 15 schools both private and govt aided, 3 big hospitals, theatres, shopping malls, hawkers if u wanna buy cheap, hence the value. Other stations have only mall to roam. You have to travel by car or rickshaw to get to such places. That’s y ppl want to be in bandra. Needless to mention, the glimpse of actors actresses
