I picked one of these up recently at a great price (less than $1500). It's the Strix 3080 OC 2 version Model G15CF and the deal incuded two extra 16GB 3200 Corsair Vengenance Pro DDR4 sticks for a total of 48GB . CPU is the unlocked i7 12700KF (F means the onboard Intel video has been disabled). The bios is made for tweaking pretty much anything you want. They now have a nice tower cooler on the CPU which resolves the overheating issue although it still does run a bit warm under heavy load with stock cooling. I did add a couple of 120mm fans in the front top and bottom to help draw in more air. There are plenty of plugs on the B660 motherboard for them. It runs nice and cool now so much so the rear exhaust fan often shuts down.

What are the fans in the front top and bottom you have gotten? I recently got a same model as yours and, although it has not arrived yet, I am quite concerned about the cooling issue as well.

I bought this PC and that is not the CPU cooler that was included. It's possible they have changed it since.
But, the CPU idles around 50-55 and runs closer to 80-85 during load, so they brought temps down a bit, but I may still look at getting an AIO.

As long as the cooling block that attaches to the cpu is physically lower than the top ports on the Radiator. That will keep any potential air in the system at the top of the Radiator and not in the cooling block.

Exactly my thoughts!! But all of this can be fixed. I think they did already address some of the concerns. For instance the CPU fan, I replaced it with a cheap Thermaltake i3 air blower for now and my temps have been acceptable. I am looking into either go with a Noctua and increase the rear fan to 120mm. I upgraded the snot out of it already, I always have stuff lying around that I buy in Prime Days and this weekend Labor Day, Black Friday is coming too. Always on the lookout for deals. Now, quick question for the vid, at around 3:49 I see that you had a drive mounted under the cable tray (where the PSU sits). I have some SATA SSD's with my Steam library and would like to mount these drives somehow. Do you recall that there was this capability?

I have a Ryzen 5 5600X and Nvidia RTX 3060 graphics card without a doubt as I also have mentioned it in your video they didn't do a bad job in putting some good components into the system but its a waste because the way they put it. I wanna know if case swapping with cooling upgrades and also the PSU upgrade might solve the issue. Main issue: I play fortnite competitive on a 240hz ASUS TUF monitor aiming for a smooth and steady fps of 240 but it seems to be impossible since I experience fps spikes even after following all the best settings possible both in game and the pc settings as well as the Graphics settings.

nvm i figured it out. i just used a big philips screw driver and kept twisting and turning until the holes were big enough. they eventually lined up. u could prob use a drill to make the wholes bigger as well(and alot quicker prob). the cooler comes with washers so make sure the hole isnt bigger then that. the holes match up a little better when your putting the hoses at the top. it took me a whole day to put this in(bc i took alot of breaks to play games on my main pc).

5 problems i ran into. 1 holes in front. 2 mounting the pump (but only bc i didnt realise my mounting bracket on the back had fallen out so i was wondering for awhile, these mounting holes r really big compared to the screws). 3 i forgot the hub comes with sticky ahesives stickers instead of me shoving the hub in with the power supply at the bottom. 4 the cable management. i had to remove the 24connector cable and the cable below it and redirect it to put the fans in. so alot of cutting zipties and i always keep bread ties handy.also was a little tough to close the backside panel afterwards. and 5 if it doesnt come on after everything is plugged in its probably because the connector that goes to the power button isnt on properly. put pc on sturdy box(i used coolant box) connect everything on bottom and put front panel half way in(bottom half). with top of front panel half way open use 1 finger (in from side) to guide and push in the tiny power cord into the front panel near the power button( inbetween those 2 plastic clips.) if it goes in easy but falls right back out easily turn it 90 degrees and push it in. its looks almost square but 1 side is easy push in and easy fall out and the other side isnt. ull know form pressing the power button on the outside if its in correctly. hope this helps

I mean, the techs were not wrong, and they are just doing their jobs... Rather than posting their responses and implying a target at them, maybe push more at ASUS themselves. I agree at that cost, those fans shouldn't be in there, but also, a help desk tech can't change the companies whole manufacture suite. Hahaha.

Will this pc be ok for fighting games? I bought it specifically for that. So far tekken runs fine. I hope it stays that way
