One of the best songs in kpop. They had a really "hard time" recording this MV because they kept laughing at each other since the scenes are pure s3xu4l innuendo 😂 and they are actually shy...
The instrumentals in this song are very good, in my opinion...

Ominously transfixed. I can go with that. Dark, sexy, and a little scary, with some definite hints about letting out the inner devil... Spectacular choreography, and beautiful vocals.
So glad y'all did this one, *Seulgi - Irene* being the main dancer - leader/ visual/ rapper are incredible together. These two are highly shipped together *SEULRENE* which is to say some fans like them together whether like this or also in 'fantasies'. 😏 AND YES PLEASE REACT TO *NAUGHTY* .. if y'all thought their dance was 'crisp' in this MV, I'm interested what you think of the dancing in "NAUGHTY"

I feel like Suelgi is responsible for these types of concepts. Bad Boy, Monster, Naughty, 28 reasons. Cause most of their other title tracks are a lot different lol they should start letting suelgi dictate chose the concepts 😅
Except for two things; First, she is NOT the group leader and there are reasons why she is not.
Second (part of the reason for the first), she is a SHY BABY teddy bear, a push-over. There is no way she would try to assert herself over the other four members and simultaneously the Management, in order to get that type of material to be their regular thing. Besides, there is NOTHING WRONG with their Red side; they do BOTH concepts impeccably well.

This Irene-Seulgi subunit came out during a period when Wendy (the main singer) was injured and hospitalized due to a fall caused by poor staging. Also, JiU and Yoohyeon of Dreamcatcher have an abbreviated, but amazing, cover of the song. There is the famous quote of Jean Luc-Godard "All you need for a movie is a girl and a gun."
Didn't know about the Wendy situation. Hopefully she is ok and fully recovered now. That's a great quote and not inaccurate. LOL

Irene and Suelgi are the ‘dance line’ of Red Velvet with Suelgi being the main dancer of Red Velvet and Irene the lead dancer. They have been dancing together as a unit since before Red Velvet were formed as a team. So they work together really well and have a similar body type, height and build (Suelgi is slightly taller) so they do amazing ‘mirrored’ choreography together.
Their choreography for their other subunit video “Naughty” has to be seen to be believed as it is an example of a highly technical style of dance called “tutting” with a lot of angular finger and arm positions.
They work well as a subunit as not only do you have the two strongest dancers in the team but also the lead (2nd) singer in Suelgi and the main rapper in Irene, so it’s a well balanced unit.
Check out Red Velvet’s new song “Chill Kill” as it’s one of their best yet.
Also if you’re in the Xmas mood, Red Velvet has a Xmas song that they did as a collaboration with their junior group AESPA called “Beautiful Xmas” that’s a vocal and visual feast.

Let us (lettuce) be transfixed by the ominous vibes of Red Velvet MV's. Speaking of that sharpness, the companion release 'Naughty' which has a dance video, has incredibly sharp choreo. A mesmerising performance well worth a watch. I could offer some suggestions about the combination of gun and girl but I may save that for Twice's TT video. So glad you did this one though.

song is very interesting
Just the lyrics alone are very interesting. And the Dance Choreography all by itself is very interesting. Combine the two and the MV is much more than just interesting.
Especially considering what a warm, fuzzy teddy bear and shy marshmallow we know Seulgi to be when not focused on entertaining people. That kind of duality is INSANE, like she really is (at least) two different people. :)

The idea for this song is based off the first Vampire novel (Camilla, I believe) the beginning has Irene in control, the ending has Seulgi in control. The middle is the fight for control between the two of them with them swapping out the lead in the dance. This is definitely a Velvet song, nothing Red here.

This MV was intended to be released July 5th 2020. It didn't. Which caused Luvies (Love-ees) like me to wonder why. They had to re-edit the MV. What did they cut out? We still don’t know. Subunits are a common thing in SK. This one became the highest selling one of all time. They even beat one of the GOAT's TTS of Girls Generation (You will love them too). Its use of the synthesizer here, is some of the best ever done. Thanks guys!

Monster is impactful but Naughty is crisper. Feel Good is my fav of the album. Meanwhile as you are mostly watching their velvety smooth dark side, getting excited to see your future reaction to their other side 😂

I’m not sure if you’ve already reacted to it or not but Big Mama’s Killing Voice is one of the ones to watch! They have amazing vocals (arguably some of the best) of all of Kpop. 👀 👀

redvelvet has a lot of clips with a dark and crazy concept. But that's what sets them apart from other groups, I recommend listening to peek-a-boo, a really fun song :)
